The Logical Geography of Mathematical Physics: Constructive Calibration from Density Matrices to the Born Rule (Paper 10)

Abstract

Synthesis and interpretive companion to the Constructive Calibration Programme (Papers 2-16). Contains no new theorems. Assembles machine-verified results from six companion papers into a single calibration table mapping layers of quantum theory to positions in the constructive hierarchy of omniscience and choice principles. The calibration table establishes: finite-volume physics and preparation uncertainty (Heisenberg inequality) are fully constructive (BISH); measurement uncertainty and locale spatiality require Dependent Choice (DC_omega); exact spectral membership requires Markov's Principle (MP, orthogonal axis); the bidual gap and singular states require WLPO; the thermodynamic limit requires LPO; and the spectral gap is undecidable. The logical geography forms a partial order, not a linear chain, with the omniscience spine (BISH < WLPO < LPO) as the dominant chain and DC_omega and MP as orthogonal dimensions. Proposes a working hypothesis: empirical predictions of quantum theory are BISH-derivable, and stronger principles enter only through idealizations no finite laboratory can instantiate. Reports a formulation-invariance test (Papers 8 and 9) showing the LPO cost of the thermodynamic limit is identical across transfer-matrix and combinatorial derivations. Includes comparisons with van Wierst, Batterman, Pour-El and Richards, Gisin, and the Doering-Isham topos program. Six open problems are posed. Includes a TikZ diagram of the logical geography. All formal results are verified in Lean 4 (predominantly CRM over Mathlib; Paper 4 uses AxCal). The Lean 4 formalizations and manuscripts were developed with substantial AI assistance. version1.1: This is the synthesis and conceptual companion to the author's constructive calibration programme (Papers 1–13). It contains no new theorems or Lean formalizations. Its purpose is to assemble the calibration table mapping layers of mathematical physics to positions in the constructive hierarchy (BISH < WLPO < LPO < LEM, with orthogonal axes DC_ω and MP), establish the series-wide certification methodology, formulate a working hypothesis, and pose open problems. What's New in v1.1: Certification methodology section (§3): New ~2-page section establishing three certification levels — mechanically certified (P2_Minimal, P7_Minimal), structurally verified (Papers 7-Full, 8A, 9A, 11, 13-BISH), and intentional classical content (Papers 8B, 13-LPO) — with discussion of the Mathlib question, the role of minimal artifacts, and limitations. This is the section referenced by Papers 7, 8, 11, and 13 for the series-wide methodology. Expanded calibration table: Five new rows from Paper 11 (Bell nonlocality, entanglement entropy, partial trace — all BISH) and Paper 13 (Schwarzschild interior finite-time physics — BISH; geodesic incompleteness — LPO). Table now contains 17 entries across four domains of mathematical physics. Strengthened working hypothesis: Evidence now spans functional analysis, statistical mechanics, quantum information, and general relativity. Domain invariance discussion: Papers 8 and 13 use BMC ≡ LPO in unrelated physical domains (thermodynamic limit vs. geodesic incompleteness), providing evidence that LPO costs are intrinsic to the physics. Two new open problems: Infinite-dimensional entanglement entropy (Problem 7) and singularity calibration beyond Schwarzschild/Penrose theorem (Problem 8). Fixed TikZ diagram: MP no longer incorrectly shown as implying WLPO (they are independent over BISH). Paper (23 pages, LaTeX source + compiled PDF). The Constructive Cost of Quantum Entanglement: Tsirelson Bound and Bell State Entropy in Lean 4

Paul Chun-Kit Lee

Paper 11 in the Constructive Reverse Mathematics of Mathematical Physics series. We provide a complete Lean 4 formalization of two foundational results in quantum information theory: Part A — Tsirelson bound: For any self-adjoint involutions A, A', B, B' on ℂ² and unit vector ψ ∈ ℂ² ⊗ ℂ², the CHSH operator satisfies ‖Cψ‖² ≤ 8, equivalently |⟨ψ, Cψ⟩| ≤ 2√2. Part B — Bell state entropy: The partial trace of the Bell singlet density matrix yields the maximally mixed state ρ_A = (1/2)I with von Neumann entropy S(ρ_A) = log 2. The formalization comprises 639 lines of Lean 4 across 8 modules, compiles with zero sorry, zero errors, and zero warnings. All theorems carry the axiom profile [propext, Classical.choice, Quot.sound] — standard Mathlib infrastructure axioms only. No custom axioms are introduced. Within the constructive reverse mathematics (CRM) programme, these results calibrate the compositional layer of quantum mechanics — tensor products, entanglement, correlations — establishing that Bell nonlocality and entanglement entropy are constructively accessible at the BISH level. This extends the calibration table from companion papers (Papers 2, 7, 8, 9) to cover relational quantum structure. Key finding: All logical costs arise from infinite-dimensional idealization, not from quantum compositional structure. Entanglement is constructively free. Archive contents: Lean 4 source code, LaTeX source, compiled PDF (20 pages), build instructions. Build: lake exe cache get && lake build — requires elan and ~8 GB disk space.

WFS Causal Chain: Logical Roadmap and Audit Trail for the Five-Paper Programme.

Mark Jason Thurston

WF-S Causal Chain: Logical Roadmap and Audit Trail for the Five-Paper Programme. This document serves as the navigation index for the Wave Favouritism-Substrate (WF-S) programme. It maps the complete logical spine from the founding question — what physically is a measurement? — through to the numerical predictions of particle physics, with every step carrying an explicit epistemic label ([Derived]/[Conditional]/[Open]). The Causal Chain allows a reader to trace any result back to its foundations across the five papers: Paper I: The Born Rule as the Entropy-Uniform Limit of Record Formation — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19148893 Paper II: Force Mediation, Mass Generation, and Generation Structure from the LTrion Portal — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511248 Paper III: Emergent Einstein Gravity from LTrion Record Statistics — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511361 Paper IV: Cosmogenesis, Dark Matter, and Vacuum Energy from the Fisher Manifold — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511486 Paper V: The Statistical Manifold of Irreversible Records — DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19511630 As of v16 (April 2026), the logical spine is complete within stated regimes: every step from the founding question to the CCR, Born rule, Schrödinger equation, Einstein equations, Koide relation, and derivation of ε is [Derived] with no conditional steps remaining in the main chain. Remaining open problems — the lepton phase angle and full nonlinear Einstein equations — are extensions of derived results, not gaps. Kill conditions and falsifiable predictions are listed explicitly, with the Belle II tau mass measurement (mτ to < 0.01 MeV precision) as the primary empirical test. The central claim of the programme is that probability is not fundamental but emergent — that the Born rule is not an axiom but a consequence of what it physically means to form an irreversible record. This programme began with a single question: "what is measurement, really?". What follows is a personal learning journey — an attempt to look at the paradoxes physics has accumulated over the last century through a different lens. The mathematics is offered in good faith. The errors are the author's own, and remain his best opportunities to learn.

APF Paper 14 — Quantum Mechanics from Beginning to End — Technical Supplement

Ethan Brooke

This is the Technical Supplement — the proof-dense companion and the canonical formal record for the paper's claims. The main paper argues; the supplement proves. Every load-bearing claim traces to a named check function in the APF verification engine, and the supplement is the document a referee should audit first. The supplement is self-contained for Paper 14: every definition, proof, and grade the paper rests on appears in this one document — the substrate primitives and the marginal admissibility floor, proved; the locality and cost-uniqueness lemmas; the Δ calculus with both fences' witnesses written out; the Boolean-defender bridge with its five certified physical hypotheses and the 3-4-5 worked witness computed on the page; the gate pipeline with a gate-by-axiom comparison to the operational-reconstruction literature (Hardy; Chiribella–D'Ariano–Perinotti; Masanes–Müller; Barnum–Wilce; Spekkens; Abramsky–Brandenburger); the native correlation family constructed explicitly, rung by rung; the resolution triad set against standard thermodynamics (Landauer, erasure, environment-assisted recovery); a consolidated readings register listing every claim below [P] with its falsifier and status; a glossary mapping the framework's vocabulary onto standard quantum-information terms; and a worked end-to-end instance — device to interrogation normal form to exact feasibility certificate to priced ledger, with every tolerance explicit. A reproducibility appendix pins every claim to the APF theorem bank at a named GitHub commit and the archived Engine release (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.18529115); the certificates reproduce deterministically in exact rational arithmetic. About the series. Admissibility Physics is a structural realist reconstruction program built on a single commitment: any bounded region of the world can hold only finitely many distinctions. A principle of least enforcement cost then selects, among all the ways those distinctions might be arranged, the configurations a finite world can sustain. From this the content of physics is reconstructed rather than postulated: the Standard Model's gauge group and matter content, the Hilbert-space and Born-rule architecture of quantum mechanics, the geometry and field equations of general relativity, the four laws of thermodynamics, and the large-scale budget of cosmology emerge as different readings of one finite-capacity ledger. The unification is quantitative as well as conceptual: the framework's dimensionless constants appear not as free parameters but as counts read off that ledger — among them the dark-energy fraction ΩΛ = 42/61 and the weak mixing angle sin2θW = 3/13 — fixed, in the strongest cases, to within current measurement. The core derivation runs Papers 0–11; the extension papers carry the individual sectors. Each paper's main text and Technical Supplement is deposited separately; every quantitative claim traces to a named, executable check in the public theorem bank (over 3,800 bank-registered theorems, 48 quantitative predictions); and each result is carried at an explicit, graded level of confidence — from analytically forced to structurally grounded — with the measurements that would refute it named. Admissibility Physics is offered as a candidate, not a finished theory. If the program holds, the laws of physics could not have been otherwise: they are what a finite world permits. THE TOPOLOGICAL RESONANCE HYPOTHESIS: INFORMATION-GEOMETRIC COLLAPSE AND THE COMPUTATIONAL ARROW OF TIME (VERSION 3.4)

Stamboltsyan, David

This work introduces the term 'Bounded Randomness' as an original conceptual framework by the author, defining randomness as a computational resource constrained by physical budget. V5.4 introduces the Entanglement Density parameter D_E formally linked to von Neumann entanglement entropy, establishes the Planck time as the absolute lower bound on the phase transition timescale, and introduces a formal critique of gradient decoherence models as physically inconsistent with conservation laws. V6.1 introduces the Macroscopic Restrictive Barrier — a thermodynamically irreversible stabilization mechanism explaining structural integrity of macroscopic objects — formalizes the Unified Dark Sector as two opposing consequences of a single unknotting process, adds the Correspondence Principle bridging the hypothesis to standard Quantum Mechanics, and clarifies that unrealized probabilistic branches are strictly virtual computational possibilities, not parallel realities. V7.2 introduces a Foundational Philosophy section establishing logic as the constitutive fabric of reality (The Background Operator Problem), formally connecting quantum probability to Gödelian incompleteness via Cubitt et al. (2015), and linking the dilaton field Φ to the Logical Language of the Fabric. V8.3 resolves the black hole information paradox through a finite topological core bounded by Planck density, introduces the three-act particle model, and establishes black hole evaporation as a necessary condition for conformal rebirth. V9.0 introduces the Author's Note on Working Methodology (transparent disclosure of age, role of AI tools, and epistemological limits), formalizes the four-tiered categorical hierarchy of reality as a Conceptually Isomorphic Framework (Logic → Laws → Space → Time), and introduces Section 5.4: a deductive critique of quantum consciousness theories (Orch-OR), demonstrating their thermodynamic invalidity under the Macroscopic Restrictive Barrier. V9.5 introduces three new authorial concepts: the ontological distinction between virtual quantum branches and macroscopic cognition (hallucinations are real macro-events, not virtual states), the formalization of the Dark Sector as equal deterministic properties of Space governed by the Laws layer and invariant across cycles, and the mathematical proof via Liouville measure that conformal rebirth invariably yields unique non-repeating topological configurations (P = 0). The critique of gradient decoherence models is restored as a dedicated section. V10.0 introduces three new authorial concepts: "Logic, Truth, and Fundamentality" — formalizing logic as an absolute meta-rule and the sole condition for existence (true illogic is absolute nothingness, not chaos); "Meaning and Direction" — a mechanistic resolution of the question of meaning, distinguishing objective Direction (thermodynamic necessity) from subjective meaning (a local macroscopic phenomenon generated via Bounded Randomness); and a dedicated section "Heuristic Estimates and Phenomenological Models" separating all phenomenological constructs from core architecture. Open Questions are expanded to include the cosmological scaling law of ρinfo(a), compatibility with FLRW equations and Bianchi identities, and the formal derivation of the galactic density profile from ρinfo. V11.0 introduces three new authorial concepts: "Infinity as Potential, Not Actual" — rejecting actual infinity as a completed physical object; all mathematical singularities and infinite limits are reinterpreted as potential processes without reachable endpoints; "Probabilistic Distribution and the Emergence of Life" — life requires no teleological explanation; the correct question is not "why is life possible" but "what prohibits it"; in the absence of prohibition, emergence is a necessary probabilistic consequence of invariant laws; and the formal clarification that the connection between Gödel's Incompleteness Theorems and quantum uncertainty is a conceptual parallel, not a mathematical theorem, now explicitly placed in the Heuristic Estimates section. The Modified Einstein Field Equations are moved to heuristics with an explicit Bianchi identity disclaimer. Open Questions expanded to include the formal derivation of hadron masses from structural complexity via Lattice QCD. V12: global changes.

APF Paper 5 — Quantum Structure from Finite Enforceability (Technical Supplement)

Ethan Brooke

Duplicate record. The canonical deposit for this paper is APF Paper 5 — Quantum Structure from Finite Enforceability (Technical Supplement) (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19908706). This record is retained because published Zenodo DOIs cannot be removed; please cite the canonical record. Technical Supplement to Paper 5 of the Admissibility Physics Framework (APF), Quantum Structure as Least-Cost Admissible Bookkeeping. Paper 5 derives the complete quantum formalism — linearity, complex Hilbert space, tensor products, Born's rule, unitary and CPTP dynamics, measurement as class change, spectral-action internalisation, and UV-completion closure — from PLEC (A1, MD, A2, BW) plus the capacity quantization Ctot = 61, deff = 102 imported from Papers 1–4. The supplement provides self-contained proofs of the theorems compressed to sketch form in the main paper. Linearity from coherent-distinction closure. Tlinearity: if sector states |ψ1⟩, |ψ2⟩ are admissible and coherent-distinction-closed, then their normalised linear combination α|ψ1⟩ + β|ψ2⟩ with |α|2 + |β|2 = 1 is admissible. Complex Hilbert space. THilbert: the state space is a complex Hilbert space ℋ with inner product induced by the cost functional, and the field selection 𝔽 = ℂ is inherited from Paper 1's field-selection tier. Tensor product. Ttensor: composite systems factorise as ℋAB = ℋA ⊗ ℋB under admissibility of joint distinction. Born's rule. TBorn: measurement outcome probabilities are Pr(k | ρ) = Tr(Pk ρ) with {Pk} the projective decomposition operators corresponding to admissible partition classes — derived, not postulated. Unitary and CPTP dynamics. THermitian and TCPTP: admissible state evolution is Hermitian-generated for closed systems and CPTP for open systems, both from minimum-cost bookkeeping. Measurement as class change. Tdecoherence: measurement is the transition from an admissible coherent superposition to an admissible classical register, formalised as a class change on the equivalence structure of admissible states. Spectral-action internalisation. Lspectral_action_internal: the Connes spectral action coincides with the APF partition function under the Boltzmann cutoff. Full proof in Paper 7 Technical Supplement §S.4. UV-completion closure. LQG_P1_closure: the admissibility framework remains consistent under Paper 1's structural extension to UV scales. Explicit countermodels exclude the main published quantum-reconstruction alternatives (Hardy 2001, Masanes–Müller 2011, d'Ariano–Chiribella–Perinotti 2010, Rovelli relational). Red-team section analyses three paper-specific hypotheses (H1 coherent-distinction closure, H2 tensor-product admissibility, H3 spectral-action compatibility). Topological--Historical Quantum Mechanics: A Three-Axiom Reconstruction of Quantum States, Dynamics, Probability, Measurement, Entanglement, Spin, Statistics, Open Systems, and the Classical Limit

Kianming(Jianming) Wang

We develop a conditionally closed reconstruction of quantum mechanics from exactly three physical axioms: microscopic ontic definiteness and finite localization, physical reality of the spacetime--vacuum substrate, and persistent causal source--response coupling. Wave functions, Hilbert spaces, complex amplitudes, density operators, the Born rule, commutation relations, Fock spaces, path integrals, completely positive maps, and Markovian dynamics are introduced only as derived mathematical or operational structures, not as additional physical axioms. The construction distinguishes the actual finite carrier and its causal history from the quantum state used to represent preparations, transformations, and measurement probabilities. It derives unitary dynamics from self-adjoint Hamiltonians, formulates spectral observables and probability currents, and states the explicit equilibrium, additivity, noncontextuality, and calibration conditions required for the Born representation. Measurement is described through instruments, pointer dynamics, stable records, weak values, continuous monitoring, diffusive and counting trajectories, and operational error--disturbance relations. Quantum trajectories remain record-conditioned predictive representations rather than automatically ontic paths. Composite systems, identical particles, spin, entanglement entropy, purification, steering, Bell correlations, dense coding, and no-broadcasting are developed on declared tensor-product and symmetry domains. Open-system dynamics are formulated through causal Volterra equations, memory kernels, initial-slip terms, auxiliary-mode realizations, and unitary dilations. Existence, positivity, complete positivity, trace preservation, no-signalling, and energy closure are treated as logically distinct properties. Semiclassical pseudodifferential calculus, controlled path-integral convergence, Ehrenfest-time bounds, semiclassical measures, decoherence, and macroscopic-record stability define the quantum--classical interface. Topological phases, defect-bound states, relativistic wave equations, infrared dressing, and effective quantum-field-theory domains are incorporated with explicit applicability and error conditions. Numerical spectral certification, statistical model comparison, twenty-five benchmark models, theorem-status ledgers, and a complete experimental statistical protocol provide falsification and replication criteria. The resulting framework preserves standard quantum mechanics on its validated domain while isolating finite-core and historical corrections as conditional, quantitatively bounded, and experimentally testable extensions. **Keywords** Quantum foundations; topological quantum mechanics; historical memory; three-axiom reconstruction; Born rule; quantum measurement; weak measurement; quantum trajectories; entanglement; spin and statistics; open quantum systems; Volterra equations; semiclassical limit; quantum topology; numerical certification; experimental falsification.

We develop a conditionally closed reconstruction of quantum mechanics from exactly three physical axioms: microscopic ontic definiteness and finite localization, physical reality of the spacetime--vacuum substrate, and persistent causal source--response coupling. Wave functions, Hilbert spaces, complex amplitudes, density operators, the Born rule, commutation relations, Fock spaces, path integrals, completely positive maps, and Markovian dynamics are introduced only as derived mathematical or operational structures, not as additional physical axioms. The construction distinguishes the actual finite carrier and its causal history from the quantum state used to represent preparations, transformations, and measurement probabilities. It derives unitary dynamics from self-adjoint Hamiltonians, formulates spectral observables and probability currents, and states the explicit equilibrium, additivity, noncontextuality, and calibration conditions required for the Born representation. Measurement is described through instruments, pointer dynamics, stable records, weak values, continuous monitoring, diffusive and counting trajectories, and operational error--disturbance relations. Quantum trajectories remain record-conditioned predictive representations rather than automatically ontic paths. Composite systems, identical particles, spin, entanglement entropy, purification, steering, Bell correlations, dense coding, and no-broadcasting are developed on declared tensor-product and symmetry domains. Open-system dynamics are formulated through causal Volterra equations, memory kernels, initial-slip terms, auxiliary-mode realizations, and unitary dilations. Existence, positivity, complete positivity, trace preservation, no-signalling, and energy closure are treated as logically distinct properties. Semiclassical pseudodifferential calculus, controlled path-integral convergence, Ehrenfest-time bounds, semiclassical measures, decoherence, and macroscopic-record stability define the quantum--classical interface. Topological phases, defect-bound states, relativistic wave equations, infrared dressing, and effective quantum-field-theory domains are incorporated with explicit applicability and error conditions. Numerical spectral certification, statistical model comparison, twenty-five benchmark models, theorem-status ledgers, and a complete experimental statistical protocol provide falsification and replication criteria. The resulting framework preserves standard quantum mechanics on its validated domain while isolating finite-core and historical corrections as conditional, quantitatively bounded, and experimentally testable extensions. **Keywords** Quantum foundations; topological quantum mechanics; historical memory; three-axiom reconstruction; Born rule; quantum measurement; weak measurement; quantum trajectories; entanglement; spin and statistics; open quantum systems; Volterra equations; semiclassical limit; quantum topology; numerical certification; experimental falsification.
