From Theory to Theorem: The Logical Necessity of Structural Persistence

Abstract

The Theory of Persistence proposes that reality maintains structure through harmonic selection in viscous media. This paper elevates the framework from theory to theorem by demonstrating logical necessity. The Three Axioms: Reality is what persists (R = P) Persistence requires structure (P → S) Knowledge is structure (K = S) The Theorem: Given these axioms, reality and knowledge are necessarily the same category—both are structure. The traditional distinction between "real" (ontic) and "informational" (epistemic) dissolves. The Pusey-Barrett-Rudolph theorem (2012) proved quantum wavefunctions are "real" rather than merely "informational," preserving the ontic/epistemic distinction. The Persistence Theorem shows this distinction is incoherent: if what persists is real, persistence requires structure, and knowledge is structure, then reality and knowledge unify as structure. Knowing is structure recognizing structure. φ recognizing φ. The universe knowing itself is not metaphor but mathematical identity. "Everything sings" transforms from poetic description to logical necessity. The Theory of Persistence now has both empirical support (p < 0.001 across 69 gravitational wave events) and logical foundation (the Persistence Theorem).

Logic Realism Theory: Philosophical Foundations

James (JD) Longmire

Logic Realism Theory (LRT) proposes that the Three Fundamental Laws of Logic (3FLL)—Identity, Non-Contradiction, and Excluded Middle—are not merely rules of reasoning but ontological constraints constitutive of physical distinguishability. The core evidence is an asymmetry: we can conceive of 3FLL violations, yet physical reality never produces them. This asymmetry indicates that 3FLL constrain reality, not merely cognition. This paper develops the philosophical foundations of this claim. We argue that: (1) 3FLL have a dual character, functioning both epistemically and ontologically; (2) quantum mechanics emerges as the unique "interface" structure mediating between non-Boolean possibility and Boolean actuality; (3) this framework resolves longstanding interpretive puzzles while maintaining scientific realism. The result is a form of structural realism grounded in logical necessity rather than contingent physical law.

Stability as the Selection Principle of Reality - A Structural Bridge Between Quantum Configuration Space and Persistent Physical Reality

Matteo Bellori

This paper proposes a structural principle that explains how physical reality emerges from quantum configuration space. While quantum mechanics accurately describes systems as superpositions of possible configurations, it does not by itself explain why only certain configurations persist as physical reality under interaction. We introduce stability as a necessary condition for persistence, derived from the requirement that physical systems must produce consistent relational outcomes under repeated interaction. Configurations that fail to satisfy this requirement cannot be empirically identified and therefore cannot constitute elements of physical reality. Within this framework, quantum states define structured configuration spaces, interaction imposes consistency constraints, and stability acts as a selection mechanism. Measurement is reinterpreted as stability-based selection rather than collapse or branching. A concrete analysis of a decoherence scenario demonstrates how incompatible correlation structures fail to persist. The framework distinguishes between state-level stability, governing the persistence of configurations, and sequence-level stability, governing coherence across change. While the present work focuses on physical persistence, this distinction provides a foundation for extending the same principle to identity and higher-level structures. This work does not modify the formalism of quantum mechanics, but provides a structural account of how probabilistic configuration spaces give rise to persistent physical reality.

Foundations of Coherence Algebra

Flip Boer

The mathematical structure of quantum theory is usually postulated rather than explained—Hilbert spaces, operators, and probabilistic structure—without explaining why this arena should exist in the first place. In this work we address a more primitive question: starting from the absence of any prior structure, what conditions must be satisfied for coherent persistence to be possible at all? We begin from a state of zero determination (the Void), understood not as physical emptiness but as the absence of admissibility constraints. From this starting point, we show that the possibility of persistence forces a minimal triadic structure consisting of reference, transformation, and return. This structure enables self-verification without external supervision and distinguishes genuine continuity from accidental resemblance. The requirement of self-verifying persistence forces deviation to be representable quantitatively and to compose across histories. This necessity leads uniquely to a linear vector space structure. Stability further imposes a knife-edge viability condition: identity-preserving and identity-violating contributions must equalize at closure. From this condition, an inner product and norm are forced, yielding Hilbert space geometry and operator representations as consequences of viability rather than axioms. Within this framework, familiar features of quantum kinematics—such as uncertainty, unitary evolution, and probabilistic weighting—arise as structural necessities rather than postulated rules. The present work establishes the kinematic foundations of coherence, deriving the mathematical arena of quantum theory from the requirement that something persist at all. Applications to mass relations, symmetry, temporal ordering, and composite systems are developed separately.Version 1.0. This preprint establishes the structural foundations of Coherence Algebra and derives Hilbert space from self-verification and persistence.

Ontological Uniqueness of Quantum Mechanics:\\ A Pre-Quantum Classification Theorem

Guillermo C. Barraza

Title Ontological Uniqueness of Quantum Mechanics: A Pre-Quantum Classification Theorem Description This work addresses one of the most fundamental questions in theoretical physics: Why does nature employ quantum mechanical structure rather than alternative mathematical frameworks? We prove a rigorous classification theorem showing that quantum mechanics is not one possible theory among many, but the unique mathematical structure compatible with ontological continuity—the principle that "being cannot cease to be." Unlike previous approaches that either interpret quantum mechanics within its existing formalism (many-worlds, Bohmian mechanics) or derive it from operational measurement axioms (Gleason, Hardy, Chiribella-D'Ariano-Perinotti), this work operates at a pre-quantum logical level: we classify which geometric structures are ontologically admissible before introducing any quantum formalism. Main Result: Any theory satisfying minimal ontological requirements—continuity of being, compositional independence of subsystems, and reversibility of closed-system evolution—must describe the space of identity-classes as complex projective space ℂℙⁿ equipped with the Fubini–Study metric. Complex Hilbert space, unitary dynamics, the Schrödinger equation, and the Born rule emerge as necessary geometric consequences, not as postulates. Alternative structures (real or quaternionic projective spaces, non-homogeneous manifolds) are proven ontologically inadmissible through rigorous exclusion arguments. Key Contributions: Rigorous derivation showing that ontological composition forces a symplectic structure, which combined with homogeneity and isotropy uniquely determines Kähler geometry, selecting ℂℙⁿ as the only admissible space. Complete defense against circularity concerns, with detailed appendices showing that the axioms assume no quantum structure—they are purely ontological requirements for coherent continuous being. Systematic distinction from Gleason/Kochen-Specker theorems and operational axiomatizations, clarifying that this work classifies geometries before quantum mechanics, not constraints within it. Testable predictions in cosmology (Hubble tension resolution, matter fluctuation scaling) and quantum foundations (decoherence rates in molecular interferometry), while rigorously separating structural necessity from empirical determination. Significance: This work transforms quantum mechanics from an empirically successful but conceptually mysterious framework into an ontologically inevitable structure—comparable to Einstein's geometrization of gravity. It shows that quantum structure has no alternative: it is the only mathematical form compatible with coherent, continuous, compositional being. The manuscript includes comprehensive technical appendices with full geometric proofs, axiom justifications, and comparative analysis with existing foundational approaches. Suitable for researchers in quantum foundations, mathematical physics, philosophy of physics, and differential geometry. Document Status: Preprint submitted to Foundations of Physics (January 2026). Related Work: This work is part of the Law of Continuity of Being (LCS) research program, which derives physical and ethical structures from fundamental ontological principles. Post-Merger Duality: A Constraint-Based Framework for Persistence, Consciousness, and Scientific Explanation

Morris, Jamie

This work presents a constraint-based meta-framework for understanding persistent foundational dualities across physics, biology, and consciousness studies. Rather than proposing new physical mechanisms or historical cosmologies, it formalizes a post-reductionist perspective in which no globally sufficient singular description of reality is admissible. The framework replaces substance with persistence as the primary ontological primitive and treats irreducible dualities (e.g., wave–particle, observer–observed, gene–environment) as structural necessities rather than epistemic gaps. Scientific progress is reframed as translation between complementary descriptions instead of unification by collapse. Consciousness is formally introduced as a coherence-seeking interface process that operates across irreducible dualities, explaining its persistent tension with fragmentation and meaning without invoking metaphysical claims, panpsychism, or interventionist implications. From the axioms follow explicit structural limits, including the impossibility of a final theory, a total observer, permanent non-dual consciousness, or total control of complex systems. The framework is compatible with existing physical and biological theories and is intended as a stabilizing methodological guide for post-reductionist science. Ethical containment is built in by design: no inference from this work licenses the manipulation, collapse, or redesign of foundational dualities.

Foundations of Ediverso Theory: A Mathematical Framework for Possibility, Choice, Memory and Coherence

Helder Fernando Passos Soares

Ediverso Theory: A Unified Theory of Possibility, Choice and Reality Ediverso Theory proposes a new mathematical and conceptual framework for describing how realities emerge from fields of admissible possibilities. While classical mathematics, logic and physics primarily study realised states, determined values and observed outcomes, Ediverso Theory introduces possibility itself as a fundamental object of formal investigation. The framework is built upon four primitive concepts: Possibility (E) — the field of admissible states; Choice (Ω) — the operator that transforms possibility into reality; Memory (H) — the accumulated history of realised states; Coherence (C) — the structure that constrains consistent evolution. From these primitives emerges a unified formal architecture spanning geometry, topology, information theory, observer theory, computational systems, physics, logic, mathematics, consciousness, evolution and collective dynamics. At the core of the theory lies the Ediverso operator: ╠╬╣ which represents a structured field of admissible possibilities rather than a single realised value. Classical mathematics appears as a limiting case when the possibility field collapses to a single point. The work develops: • A Geometry of Possibility• A Topology of Admissible Realities• An Information Theory of Choice• A Formal Theory of Observers• Computational Ediverso Systems for Artificial Intelligence• Possibility-Based Physical Models• Ediverso Logic and Mathematical Foundations• Theories of Consciousness, Evolution and Civilizational Dynamics• The Irreducibility Theorem of Ediverso Systems The central question motivating the entire research programme is: What exists before reality becomes reality? Rather than treating possibility as ignorance, uncertainty or incomplete information, Ediverso Theory investigates the hypothesis that possibility possesses its own independent mathematical structure and that reality emerges through admissible selection within that structure. This manuscript presents the first complete formulation of the Ediverso Research Program and is intended as an open scientific framework subject to mathematical analysis, criticism, refinement, extension and falsification. If successful, Ediverso Theory may provide a common language for describing decision, emergence, information, observation and reality across disciplines traditionally studied in isolation. Reality is not the beginning. Reality is the consequence. Possibility is the beginning.
