Wigner Rotation and Thomas Precession as Reporting Artefacts in Discrete Observer Comparisons

Abstract

We work in a fully discrete framework where physical motions are realised aspaths on an integer spatial display Z3, sampled at integer tick time. Observers arenot primitive frames but realised paths, and comparison is defined operationally asthe direct reading of one path relative to another through the tick–sampled differenceRB|A(t) = XB(t) − XA(t).Relative kinematic information is extracted from finite comparison windows byexact integer arithmetic, without introducing a prior velocity space or a global Lorentzstructure. We formulate multi–observer (three–leg) comparison as an explicit chainingof such path readings on canonical lcm windows and show that, at the discrete tick–path level, the output consists solely of windowed integer displacements and associatedscalar invariants.Within this discrete comparison layer there is no intrinsic notion of rotation. Anonzero Wigner or Thomas rotation angle appears only after imposing a continuousSpecial Relativity reporting map (a “shadow”) and performing Lorentz–group compositionin that shadow space. We finally state a grain–limited resolution boundfor reconstructing any rotation angle from transverse readouts over a lever arm D,clarifying the operational status of such effects in a discrete observer–centred setting.

Paper K v2.0: The Variable Observer Dynamic Projection Operators, Interaction as Measurement, Ontological Kinematics, and the Dissolution of the Consciousness Postulate

Fedor Kapitanov

Paper K v2.0 unifies two results derived independently within Ontological Resolution Theory (ORT). Part I: The Variable Observer Paper J established that any observer embedded in the FCC lattice samples only 4 bits per Tick out of 137 available (~3% of reality). However, Paper J treated the projection operator as a fixed mask. Theorem K.1 (Dynamic Projection): The projection operator is not a constant but a function of the observer's own lattice state: Π(τ) = f( Sobs(τ), Sobs(τ−1) ) Different internal states yield different 4-bit samples of the same world-state — literally different subjective realities from identical physical configurations. Theorem K.2 (Universality of Measurement): Observation is not a privilege of consciousness. Any irreversible physical interaction between subsystems A and B constitutes a projection. A photographic plate, a Geiger counter, and a rock all perform projections. The only criterion is: Γdiss > 1 / τcoh Consciousness is Level 4 (reflexive) projection — special but not ontologically privileged. Theorem K.3 (Memory as Filter Versioning): Memory is not data storage but the preservation of previous projection configurations. Recall is re-execution of an old projection operator applied to the current world-state — not retrieval of stored bits. This explains why memories are reconstructive, mutable, and state-dependent. These results eliminate the consciousness postulate from quantum mechanics (Wigner, von Neumann) and establish that the measurement problem is a misidentification of the projecting subsystem. Part II: Ontological Kinematics The relativistic velocity addition formula is derived from the ontological balance equation alone: r² − 3r + 1 = 0 without postulating Lorentz invariance. Theorem K.5 (Velocity Addition from Gaps): A pattern moving at speed v allocates fraction v of its ticks to movement and (1−v) to internal processes. Pattern A can observe pattern B only when both are simultaneously stopped. The joint observation window is: (1−v)(1−w) = 1 − v − w + vw Dividing the combined approach rate by the observation window yields: u = (v + w) / (1 + vw/c²) The denominator (1 + vw/c²) is not a mathematical trick imposed to prevent exceeding c. It is the combinatorial cost of mutual observation on a discrete lattice. Einstein postulated this formula. ORT derives it from r² − 3r + 1 = 0. Central Result (new in v2.0) The balance equation has a unique physical root: r* = φ−2 = (3 − √5) / 2 This is the ontological balance velocity: the speed at which a pattern satisfies the self-consistency condition exactly. Theorem K.6 (Resonant Velocity = 2/3): When two patterns both move at v = w = φ−2, their relative velocity is: u = 2/3 · c The irrationality √5 cancels completely. The result is a pure rational number. This equals: The topological charge of the up-quark (Qu = +2/3) The critical boundary of Fundamental Density Theory (α = 2/3, Alfaro 2024–2026) The Koide formula limit for charged leptons The quark charge is not a postulate of the Standard Model. It is the resonant relative velocity of two patterns at ontological equilibrium. Unification Parts I and II are not independent. The denominator of the velocity addition formula is the projection operator's sampling frequency. Velocity addition = projection rate = gap product. All three are the same physical quantity at different levels of description. One equation. Two derivations. One number:r² − 3r + 1 = 0 ⇒ ubalance = 2/3

Pre-Projection Admissible State Spaces for Relational Rotation: A Structural Note on Flow, Coarse-Graining, and Finite Observational Readout

王有福

This structural preprint freezes an intermediate layer in a downward research decomposition. It separates an admissible pre-projection state structure, dynamical flow, observation/coarse-graining maps, and finite readouts. A planar relational-rotation benchmark shows that finite binary, eight-class, or twelve-sector readouts need not be identified with the dimension or ontology of the admissible state space. Common absolute orientation cancels from purely relational angle observables. The note explicitly does not claim a hidden-variable model, a new quantum state space, or a final ontology. It defines transition-relation reconstruction and discrete-versus-continuous symmetry as the next death gates.

Thomas precession and the Bacry paradox

Alexander L. Kholmetskii, O. Missevitch, Tolga Yarman

We show that in the derivation of the frequency of Thomas precession, the fact of implementation of rotation-free Lorentz transformations between a laboratory frame, KL, and Lorentz frames K(t) co-moving with a particle with spin at any time moments, t, has principal importance. Choosing for the observation of the particle’s motion any other inertial frame, K, related with KL by the rotation-free transformation, we have to realize that the transformations between K and K(t) at any t are no longer rotation-free. This way we provide a resolution of the known paradox by Bacry (H. Bacry. Nuovo Cimento, 26, 1164 (1962)) and suggest a reinterpretation of the Thomas precession, which is further discussed.

Spacetime Localization Without a Global Frame: Quantum Reference Frames, Relational Observables, and Domain-Restricted Covariance for Localizing Records

Tomoyuki Uchida

This paper is the thirty-first in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates rather than as a collection of independently existing objects. It is the third panel — the capstone — of the eighth grouping, a foundational-physics trilogy. Its subject is spacetime localization: where and when a record or system is — its position, orientation, relative phase, and time. The claim is that localization is real but not authoritatively global. There is no Global Frame: no physically privileged reference system that fixes absolute location and orientation, a privileged global simultaneity, a classical frame standing outside quantum theory, and one physically privileged, globally valid perspectival gauge-fixing. Localization is relational: positions and times are defined relative to a declared quantum reference frame (QRF), itself a quantum system that may be superposed and entangled with what it localizes (Giacomini, Castro-Ruiz, & Brukner, 2019; Loveridge, Miyadera, & Busch, 2018). What keeps this objective rather than subjective is a strict typing of cross-frame comparison: a single gauge-invariant relational (Dirac) observable has one invariant prediction, its perspectival representations intertwined by a frame-change map (case A); distinct relational observables form a relationally consistent web (case B); and where two frames share no common refinement their claims are declared incomparable (case C). "Objective" means invariance of the physical predictions under the declared symmetry group and the frame-change groupoid over the admissible frame family, to a declared tolerance — never frame-independence in an absolute sense. The flagship R-A is a dynamics-independent kinematic existence witness: a finite-dimensional discrete-ring model exhibits one physical state and two admissible ideal QRFs under which the localization profile and the entanglement structure differ — a sharp product relative to one particle; an entangled state with a delocalized, mixed marginal relative to another — while the distribution of the same relational observable is preserved. R-B splits into a domain covariance on shared refinements (ideal QRFs compose and agree on shared Dirac predictions) and a model-dependent global-perspective obstruction: where a globally valid relational gauge-fixing fails, as in known Gribov-type models (Vanrietvelde, Höhn, & Giacomini, 2023), no single perspective covers the whole physical state space — which is neither the same as, nor a consequence of, the absence of a privileged frame, and does not preclude a perspective-neutral description. R-C places Paper 8's relational time as the time-translation special case, with its finite-resolution-clock, conditional-covariance, and record–clock qualifications, separating the retired claim (no global clock) from the deferred one (relativistic foliation with dynamical geometry). R-D identifies and transports the frame-representable localization sector of certain Paper-30 grains, partially discharging that paper's grain-coherence deferral while leaving interaction, fragmentation, redundancy, and history-family structure grain-relative. This completes the trilogy's dismantling of the Global Bookkeeper while keeping geometry fixed: the quantum-mechanics–gravity interface is prepared, not entered. Localization is frame-relative but objective: no absolute frame, no globally gauge-fixed perspective claimed beyond what models establish, and no anarchy. ALAC Paper 31. Third panel (capstone) of the eighth grouping — a foundational-physics trilogy (29 Public Quantum Records -> 30 Classicality Without a Global Classicalizer -> 31 Spacetime Localization Without a Global Frame). Part of the Consistency-Constrained Information History (Akashic Ledger Architecture Cosmology) series. Presents no new quantum mechanics; results are interpretive (L2) on imported physics (L1).

The RQM triangle: A paradigm for relativistic quantum mechanics

H. Pierre Noyes

A simple way to relate Lorentz transformations to a finite and discrete model of counter firings is presented. We first abstract from counter firings with finite resolution to rational fraction velocities and a finite step-length. Discrete Lorentz transformations and quantized rotations follow. These are encoded by three integers and a triangle with integer sides: the RQM Triangle. The double slit experiment allows us to observe quantized space steps and measure invariant step lengths for any particle in rational ratio to one such length for any convenient reference particle. A discrete version of the Mandelstam analysis of elastic and anelastic scattering is implied. The results fit naturally into the bit-string formalism used in earlier work.

Nonlinear effects in Thomas precession due to the interplay of Lorentz contraction and Thomas–Wigner rotation

Antonio Di Lorenzo

It is demonstrated that the 3-vector [Formula: see text] currently associated to the spin in an inertial frame does not contract, but rather dilates, in the direction of the velocity. The correct vector [Formula: see text] is individuated. The equation of motion for the two vectors is shown to contain two terms, a common linear rotation, identified with Thomas precession, and also a nonlinear rotation depending on the direction of the spin itself.
