Quantum Mechanics Manifesto: Operational Rules Author: Radu Necsanu ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0009-1281-9180 DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18408348 Abstract This document specifies operational definitions and usage constraints governing the admissible application of quantum mechanics to declared measurements. It introduces no new postulates, modifies no dynamics, and advances no interpretive claims. The rules stated here fix terminology, delimit the role of measurement, and constrain the operational use of the formalism; as an executive closure, the document states explicit admissibility conditions for run-by-run randomized protocols in quantum-eraser–type experiments. Derivations and experimental analyses are explicitly outside scope.

Operational Inadmissibility of Macroscopic Wavefunctions Author: Radu Necsanu ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0009-1281-9180 DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18408307 Abstract This paper establishes an operational criterion for when it is admissible to ascribe a single pure quantum state to a macroscopic collective degree of freedom. Working strictly within standard quantum mechanics, it delineates the conditions under which environmental interactions suppress the reduced coherence required for such an attribution at any finite experimental resolution. The result is intended to clarify the operational limits of macroscopic superposition claims without invoking modified dynamics or interpretive assumptions.
Refinement-Consistent Event Binning Forces the Born Rule Author: Radu Necsanu ORCID: https://orcid.org/0009-0009-1281-9180 DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18408230 Abstract Within standard quantum mechanics, we model sharp measurement outcomes by a finite projective measurement {Pᵢ} and interpret events as finite unions of outcome bins represented by their coarse-grained projector. Assuming only (i) the ordinary probability axioms on finite event sets, (ii) representation invariance under joint unitary changes of basis and phase redefinitions, and (iii) refinement-consistency—namely, that the probability of a coarse event depends only on its projector and is invariant under internal refinements of the event and its complement—we show that the unique compatible probability rule in dim(H) ≥ 3 is the Born rule p(P|ψ)=⟨ψ|P|ψ⟩. With the standard preparation-mixture consistency condition, the rule extends uniquely to mixed states and POVMs via p(E|ρ)=Tr(ρE).
This paper establishes Quantum Mechanics as a constraint-licensed bookkeeping regime, not a fundamental or generative description of reality. Quantum states, operators, and probabilistic structure are shown to be representational devices licensed under a specific admissibility bundle that preserves standing at the relevant scope. The analysis is strictly eliminative and exhaustion-based: it introduces no new interpretations, formalisms, or dynamics, and it does not attempt unification or modification. Instead, it fixes the precise conditions under which quantum descriptions are valid and explains why extending quantum structure beyond those conditions constitutes illicit representational transport. By placing Quantum Mechanics within a bounded, constraint-governed role, the paper contributes to maximal closure by resolving interpretive disputes and ruling out foundational overreach in the quantum domain.
This work does not claim to replace or modify quantum mechanics. This record demonstrates, with an explicit timeline separation and execution, fixed declared geometry and operational resolution, the double-slit detected distribution on Π_D can be reproduced either by (i) evaluating standard QM upstream on a resolution-aware recombination plane Π_R,el and mapping forward, or (ii) evaluating the standard far-field screen expression directly on Π_D. Core principles made explicit: (1) measurement is defined relative to an experimental discipline via declared operational resolution (Δz, Δx) and a separated evaluation plane Π_R,el versus detection plane Π_D; (2) timeline management is explicit—distribution formation occurs on an η=0 pre-measurement window, while recorded outcomes occur only at Π_D; (3) measurement definition (“where/when/what”) is realized by the Π_R,el (distribution formation) / Π_D (registration) separation; and (4) in the GTOSM dictionary context, collapse is localized and associated with a fermionic non-optimal transfer (η=1) at Π_D (not a screen-wide contraction). The mathematical formulation of Quantum Mechanics in terms of complex Hilbert space is derived for finite dimensions, starting from a general definition of "physical experiment" and from five simple Postulates concerning "experimental accessibility and simplicity". For the infinite dimensional case, on the other hand, a C*-algebra representation of physical transformations is derived, starting from just four of the five Postulates via a Gelfand-Naimark-Segal (GNS) construction. The present paper simplifies and sharpens the previous derivation in version 1. The main ingredient of the axiomatization is the postulated existence of "faithful states" that allows one to calibrate the experimental apparatus. Such notion is at the basis of the operational definitions of the scalar product and of the "transposed" of a physical transformation. What is new in the present paper with respect to quant-ph/0603011 is the operational deduction of an involution corresponding to the "complex-conjugation" for effects, whose extension to transformations allows to define the "adjoint" of a transformation when the extension is composition-preserving.

A companion DOI evaluates the same Π_R,el construction using standard QM under the same declared geometry and resolution, enabling like-for-like comparison of Π_D distributions under identical operational assumptions.Companion: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18250723 Dictionary: Symbol definitions for Π_R,el and η=0/η=1 are specified in the GTOSM Transition paper (Zenodo record: https://zenodo.org/records/18236842).Reproducibility: Run GTOSM_doi_qm_primary_two_methods_ALL_IMAGES.py to regenerate all figures/CSVs included in this record.
