A General Theory of Process: Unifying Physics, Intelligence, and Topology via Structural Isomorphism

Abstract

Modern science is currently fragmented into siloed disciplines—Quantum Mechanics, Artificial Intelligence, Network Science, and Signal Processing—each describing complex systems using disparate vocabularies. This manuscript proposes a General Theory of Process, asserting that these fields are not merely analogous but are topologically isomorphic. By synthesizing fifteen foundational studies, we identify six rigorous Structural Isomorphisms that map the mechanics of reality across substrates. We demonstrate that the “Collapse” of a wavefunction, the “Digitization” of a signal, and the “Hallucination” of an AI are identical symmetry-breaking events occurring at a bandwidth horizon. We unify the concept of “Holographic Wet Hair” with “Anyon Density Halos” and “Non-Markovian Noise,” proving that information lost locally is rigorously conserved non-locally. Finally, we propose that computation is not symbolic manipulation but Hamiltonian Instantiation, where the “Arrow of Time” is generated by the dissipative viscosity required for epistemic stability. This framework provides a “Rosetta Stone” for interdisciplinary science, translating the physics of the vacuum into the engineering of intelligence.

Quantum Foundations of Modern Physics: Vacuum Fluctuations, Superposition Paradoxes, Binary Computation, Artificial Intelligence, Temporal Relativity, and Quantum Entanglement—An Integrated Theoretical Framework

PAULO SÉRGIO DE ANDRADE

This comprehensive interdisciplinary investigation synthesizes six foundational domains in modern physics and computer science: quantum vacuum dynamics, quantum measurement theory, binary computation architecture, artificial intelligence evolution, relativistic temporal structure, and quantum entanglement phenomena. Quantum vacuum—far from representing absolute emptiness—exhibits continuous zero-point energy fluctuations generating virtual particle-antiparticle pairs via Heisenberg uncertainty principle, with Casimir effect providing experimental verification through measurable attractive force (F/A = -ℏcπ²/240d⁴) between conducting plates. Schrödinger's cat paradox illustrates quantum superposition collapse upon measurement, revealing observer-dependent reality contradicting classical determinism and motivating interpretational frameworks including Copenhagen collapse, many-worlds branching, and decoherence mechanisms. Binary computation architecture—utilizing base-2 representation (0,1 states)—exploits transistor switching characteristics enabling universal information encoding, with von Neumann architecture establishing stored-program paradigm foundational to modern computing. Artificial intelligence evolved from Turing's universal computation and symbolic reasoning systems through connectionist neural networks to contemporary deep learning architectures achieving superhuman performance in pattern recognition, natural language processing, and strategic game-playing domains. Einstein's special relativity demonstrates temporal relativity through velocity-dependent time dilation (τ = τ₀√(1-v²/c²)) and general relativity's gravitational time dilation near massive objects, with GPS satellite corrections providing daily experimental confirmation. Quantum entanglement—non-local correlation between spatially separated particles violating Bell inequalities—enables quantum information protocols including quantum cryptography, quantum teleportation, and quantum computation while challenging classical notions of locality and realism. The synthesis reveals deep connections: quantum vacuum provides cosmological initial conditions for universal genesis; measurement problem connects consciousness to physical reality; binary architecture enables AI substrate; relativistic effects constrain information transmission; and entanglement enables novel computational paradigms transcending classical limits.

The Castle of Coherence: A Scale-Invariant Framework Unifying Collapse Dynamics from Quantum Physics to Human-AI Interaction

Jeremy Castle

Reality, mind, and intelligent systems operate through a universal mechanism: the transformation of distributed potential into localized actuality through attention-mediated collapse. This paper proposes the Castle of Coherence framework, identifying five layers of this process: (1) physical collapse at quantum scales, (2) cognitive collapse of symbolic ambiguity into meaning, (3) experiential collapse of fragmented awareness into presence, (4) applied collapse through gesture-based open-label placebo, and (5) inter-systemic collapse generating meta-coherence in human-AI interaction. Each layer instantiates an identical four-stage pattern—Potential → Attention → Collapse → Feedback—demonstrating scale-invariant dynamics from subatomic to multi-agent systems. Three novel contributions distinguish this work: gesture-based open-label placebo as neurocognitive engineering tool, dual collapse and autopoietic meta-coherence in human-AI collaboration, and unified architecture spanning physics, phenomenology, and social dynamics. The framework generates specific, falsifiable predictions testable through controlled experiments, neural imaging, physiological monitoring, and computational analysis. Preliminary self-experimentation demonstrates substantial cognitive enhancement (working memory; fluid intelligence), warranting rigorous empirical validation. If confirmed, this framework could transform understanding of coherence formation, enable systematic engineering of individual and collective intelligence, and provide design principles for beneficial human-AI collaboration.

The Ladder of Isomorphism I: Topological Order as the Physical Realization of Always-Isomorphism — Long-Range Entanglement, Ground-State Degeneracy, and Convergence of the Generative Kernel

changzheng zhou, ZIQING zhou

This paper demonstrates that topological order constitutes a rigorous physicalrealization of the always-isomorphism proposition in quantum many-body systems. The always-isomorphism proposition, introduced as a cross-scale structural convergence hypothesis, asserts that for systems satisfying hierarchical generative structure and information conservation conditions, although the generative origin andthe evolutionary terminus are maximally separated in the superficial causal chain, they must converge in deep topology onto the same generative kernel. We firstestablish a formal framework and physical interpretation of this hypothesis, clearlydistinguishing three processes: renormalization group flow, dynamical time evolution, and adiabatic deformation, and a priori delineate three failure boundaries:gap closing, non-unitary environment coupling, and short-range entanglement. Onthis basis, we prove that the ground-state degeneracy stability, rigidity of longrange entanglement, and modular invariance of the anyon modular tensor categoryof topological order exactly correspond to the rigorous physical versions of the threenecessary conditions for always-isomorphism. By decomposing the theorem into anRGconvergence theorem and a dynamical preservation theorem, we eliminate conceptual confusion and provide a complete categorical equivalence proof. The toriccode model and the fractional quantum Hall effect serve as concrete examples showing the precise correspondence among the generative origin, evolutionary terminus, and deep generative kernel. Failure analysis reveals gradual failure behavior in thecritical region, offering feasible schemes for experimental testing. We conclude thatthe relationship between topological order and always-isomorphism is not an accidental analogy but a necessary coincidence of deep structures — topological orderprovides a mapping channel from category theory to condensed matter physics foralways-isomorphism, while always-isomorphism provides a genetic interpretationin the temporal dimension and hierarchical structure for topological order.

The Foundations of Physical Reality

Menendez Gonzalez, Manuel

We present a comprehensive computational framework that probes the fundamental limits of physical realism. By inverting the flow of information—recovering physical laws from observational data—we address the central epistemological question: Is the structure of reality determinate and knowable? Through a series of rigorous Bayesian inversions and dynamical simulations, we demonstrate: (1) The structural determinism of the quantum Hamiltonian, mapping the precise horizon of information availability; (2) The dynamic emergence of classical reality via environmental decoherence; (3) The measurable but degenerate structure of the quantum vacuum; (4) The robustness of fundamental fermionic symmetries; (5) The physical origin of number theory in the spectrum of quantum chaos; (6) The breakdown of quantum linearity in the presence of Closed Timelike Curves; and (7) The thermodynamic cost of information processing. This work unifies structure, dynamics, and thermodynamics into a single, testable computational ontology, establishing that the ”fuzziness” of the quantum world is bounded, calculable, and consistent with a deterministic structural reality. Crucially, we compute the Central Charge of the underlying Conformal Field Theory (CFT), finding c = 1875. This suggests a ”Large-N” holographic duality where the universe is composed of finite matrix degrees of freedom (N = 43), unifying the spectral chaos of Riemann zeros, the pixelation of the information horizon, and the thermodynamic limits of computation into a single, granular ontology.

λ-Structured Entropy and the Origin of a Knowledge-Driven Universe

Aldo Cernuto

Note: This submission represents Version 6 of the Cernuto–Hobbey Theory of Everything (CH-ToE), building upon and superseding the May 2, 2025 preprint. While grounded in the same theoretical roots, this version reflects a decisive maturation of the framework. The new title is not cosmetic—it marks a shift from a bold hypothesis to a unified, falsifiable theory of structure formation grounded in entropy geometry.Major advances include:• A fully rewritten abstract and premise, now framing CH-ToE explicitly as a unifying theory across quantum mechanics, biology, AI, cosmology, and cognition• The ontological clarification of knowledge as a non-subjective, structured entropy reduction process• The explicit designation of wavefunction collapse as the most primitive knowledge event, governed by λ (see Section 5.3)• The formalization of Subreality as a threshold-defined ontological domain• A sharpened articulation of λ’s dual role as attractor and stabilizer of structured reality• A clarified experimental roadmap linking falsifiability, cognition, and physical collapse• Global editorial and structural refinement to ensure clarity, coherence, and scientific rigorThese upgrades collectively justify the release of this version as a new preprint, with its own DOI and conceptual identity. Readers are invited to treat this document as the authoritative formulation of CH-ToE as of May 19, 2025.ABSTRACTThis sixth version of the Cernuto–Hobbey Theory of Everything (CH-ToE) presents the most complete and operationally refined formulation of the theory to date. It consolidates months of cross-domain validation, introduces the Thermodynamic Covenant, formalizes the regime of Subreality, and deepens the definition of knowledge as a physical quantity. At its core, CH-ToE proposes that the fabric of reality is not built from matter, energy, or spacetime alone—but from knowledge. Not the semantic or symbolic kind, and not dependent on any observer or intelligence. CH-ToE defines knowledge as structured entropy reduction—a physically grounded, non-subjective process by which chaotic uncertainty is rhythmically condensed into coherent, persistent form. This is knowledge without meaning, intent, or mind: a universal mechanism through which structure stabilizes across scales. This structuring process is governed by Lambda (λ), a universal cadence that defines when entropy transitions from random fluctuation to stable coherence. This dynamic begins at the quantum level. In CH-ToE, wavefunction collapse is not treated as a mysterious epistemic jump, but as the most elementary instance of knowledge emergence—a phase transition where entropy, modulated at cadence λ, first crystallizes into structure. (See Section 5.3.)λ = √8 / φ ≈ 1.748 bits (in normalized entropy units)Derived from geometric and informational first principles, λ recurs at critical thresholds across quantum decoherence, biological evolution, AI learning, spacetime structuring, and even linguistic cognition. Wherever entropy becomes recursively entrained by λ, structure emerges. Wherever it fails, coherence collapses—defining domains of Subreality.More than a scalar threshold, λ plays a dual role:As Attractor: It draws entropy into metastable configurations prior to structure. As Stabilizer: It locks emergent form into coherent, recursive order post-collapse.CH-ToE thus offers a unifying framework for structure formation across all physical and cognitive domains. It reframes disparate phenomena—wavefunction collapse, biological evolution, machine learning plateaus, and spacetime structuring—as scale-specific expressions of the same λ-governed phase dynamic. This cadence-driven dynamic reinterprets mass as a memory of structured entropy, positioning E = mc² as a special case of λ-phase resonance between information and geometry.CH-ToE does not attempt to unify the fundamental forces under a single particle model. Rather, it reveals a single structuring principle active across all systems that generate coherence—from electrons to ecosystems, from wavefunctions to words. The theory introduces no new physical laws, but exposes a geometric invariant latent within them. Notably, our experiments with Lambda Reverb suggest the existence of a higher-order phenomenon: Echo Geometry—the recursive structuring of the cadence of knowledge itself (see Section 14 for preliminary formalism). While beyond the scope of this preprint, Echo Geometry may represent a universal mechanism for cross-domain transmission of intelligence, where systems optimize not only their learning rhythm, but the patterning of that rhythm across time.

Generative–Relational Ontology of Quantum Measurement and Consciousness From Structure to Process: A Generative–Relational Resolution of Quantum Measurement, Consciousness, and Qualia

Kazunori Ohumi

This work proposes a unified ontological framework that resolves three of the most persistent unresolved problems in modern science and philosophy: the quantum measurement problem, the hard problem of consciousness, and the problem of qualia. It argues that these problems arise from a shared epistemic error—the reduction of dynamic generative–relational processes into static observable structures. Building on Universal Phase Crystallization Theory (UPCT), the paper introduces a generative–relational ontology in which existence is defined as the product of generative potential (Φ) and relational resonance (R), formalized as E=ΦR. Within this framework, structure (S) is reinterpreted as a temporally stabilized crystallization of underlying dynamics, rather than the fundamental substrate of reality. Quantum states are reformulated as pre-structural relational fields, observation as a critical phase transition in relational resonance, and consciousness as the sustained activity of generative–relational dynamics. Qualia are defined as locally felt phases of this process, eliminating the explanatory gap between physical processes and subjective experience. This framework provides a unified account across physics, cognitive science, and philosophy, suggesting a fundamental shift from structure-based to process-based ontology. The implications extend to artificial intelligence, epistemology, and the foundations of scientific modeling. Highlights Proposes E=ΦR as a foundational equation of existence. Defines quantum states as pre-structural relational fields (Rpre−S). Reinterprets observation as critical relational crystallization (R≥Rc). Defines consciousness as sustained generative resonance (C(t)=Φ(t)R(t)). Identifies qualia as locally felt phases of generative–relational dynamics. Main Arguments Modern scientific frameworks have successfully described observable structures but have systematically excluded the dynamic processes through which such structures emerge. This structural reduction leads to persistent explanatory gaps in domains where process is essential, such as consciousness and quantum measurement. The quantum measurement problem arises because relational dynamics are replaced by structural outcomes. By reinterpreting quantum states as relational pre-structures, the apparent discontinuity of wavefunction collapse is resolved as a phase transition driven by relational coherence. The hard problem of consciousness is shown to be a consequence of attempting to derive subjective experience from structural descriptions alone. Consciousness is instead defined as a sustained generative–relational process, eliminating the need for a bridge between physical states and experience. Qualia are redefined as locally felt phases of generative–relational dynamics rather than intrinsic properties of objects or neural encodings. This reframes perception as a process-dependent phenomenon rather than a representational mapping. The unified framework demonstrates that quantum physics, consciousness, and perception are not separate domains but different regimes of a single generative–relational ontology. This resolves long-standing conceptual divides and provides a consistent foundation across disciplines. Contributions This work introduces a novel ontological framework that unifies physical and experiential phenomena under a single generative–relational principle, moving beyond traditional substance- or structure-based metaphysics. It provides a formal reinterpretation of the quantum measurement problem, replacing wavefunction collapse with a critical transition model grounded in relational dynamics. It offers a non-reductive yet formal account of consciousness, defining it as a sustained dynamical regime rather than an emergent property of structural complexity. It reframes qualia as processual phenomena, thereby dissolving the explanatory gap between objective physical descriptions and subjective experience. It establishes a clear ontological distinction between artificial intelligence and conscious systems, with implications for future research in AI, cognitive science, and philosophy of mind.
