In order to extend long-distance communication, which has been necessary to connect telecommunications networks between the countries. Satellite communication is the second most widely used technology for global communication networks after terrestrial communication networks. A variety of communication services have been provided by satellite communication to mankind, such as the prediction of weather, storm warning, relaying television programs, digital data for a wide variety of business applications and most recently mobile and telephony communications. But with satellite communication, link security continues to be a big worry. Due to restrictions like a high bit error rate, power control, wide distances among the end nodes, high link as well as link availability. To overcome this issues, this paper proposed Block quantum for secure the satellite communication. Through registration, authentication and revocation, the communication is conducted. As part of this system, the satellite transmits a collected data to a ground base station, which records key parameters on the blockchain as well as clears malicious nodes from the block chain. High security is provided by the proposed satellite-based Blockchain and Quantum Key Distribution system for the upcoming 6G and beyond networks, Internet of Things, self-driving cars as well as other rapidly evolving applications. As a result, this study demonstrate that the suggested approach has an ability to enhance security as well as protection for satellite communications.

Data Security in Communication using Blockchain and Key Based Protocols

S. Prabakaran, K Harinivaash, Prasad R +2 more

The development of global communication networks depends on satellite communication. Due to its lower stability and reach, satellite communication networks have garnered a lot of attention recently as a means of reducing the limitations of terrestrial networks. Numerous inconveniences exist, including inadequate storage space, security, and data processing capacity. Illegal entry turned out to be the difficult one. Satellite physical limitations in terms of available power and area result in limited data processing capability, storage and security limitations, and the data may be exposed to alteration or contamination by intruders. Since satellite communication has become more crucial in the development of global communication networks, there have been worries regarding its security. This project proposes to use the QKD protocol, which relies on identification and privacy protection, along with blockchain technology to create A network of satellite communication. To accomplish this, an architecture that consists of conventional and constrained devices connected to the blockchain via a wireless heterogeneous network has been developed. The communication is conducted by registration, authentication, and revocation. After receiving the data from the satellite, the terrestrial base station will log all important parameters on the distributed blockchain and remove any certificates belonging to rogue nodes. The proposed Chain and QKD system, which is based on satellites, offers a high degree of security for rapidly growing applications such as self-driving cars, future 6G and larger networks, and the Internet of Things.

Efficient quantum-error correction for QoS provisioning over QKD-based satellite networks

Ping Wang, Xi Zhang, Genshe Chen

Quantum cryptography is one of the most promising technologies for guaranteeing the absolute security in communications over various advanced networks, including fiber networks and wireless networks. In particular, quantum key distribution is an efficient encryption scheme on implementing secure satellite communications between satellites and ground stations. However, it faces many new challenges such as high attenuation and low polarization-preserving capability or extreme sensitivity to the environment. In order to guarantee the quality of service (QoS) provisioning of quantum communications over 3D satellite networks, we need to focus on the security problem and throughput efficiency through correcting the errors resulted from the objective and adversary influences. To overcome these problems, we model the noisy quantum channel and implement an efficient quantum error correction scheme to ensure the security and increase the quantum throughput efficiency in QKD-based satellite networks. The simulation results obtained show that our proposed efficient QEC scheme for QoS guarantee outperforms the other existing quantum error correction schemes in terms of security and the quantum throughput efficiency.
