This paper provides the thermodynamic closure of the Radial Coherential Dynamics (RCD) program (Papers XIV-A to XIV-E). A critical audit identified a fundamental gap: if coherence is protected by a dynamical mechanism, where does the entropy of filtered noise go? Without explicit accounting, such protection risks violating the Second Law of Thermodynamics. We show that coherence protection in RCD is not thermodynamically free. It requires continuous energy expenditure and entropy export to identifiable baths. Using Landauer’s principle and quantum thermodynamic bounds, we derive the minimum energetic cost of coherence maintenance and demonstrate that the universal ratio α ≡ Γ/J emerges as an efficiency parameter constrained by irreversibility, not as a fundamental constant. The N-signatures (memory, protection, emergent scale) are mapped onto concrete thermodynamic resources: mutual information, entropy valves, and temperature differentials. Domain-specific realizations are discussed for superconducting qubits, cosmological dark energy dynamics, and neural systems. The C-field is shown to function as a Maxwell-type demon that fully pays its thermodynamic debt. The Second Law is satisfied at all scales. This work completes the logical and physical closure of the RCD XIV series.

The quantum computing narrative has been dominated by speed. This paper argues that the fundamental quantum resource is not computational acceleration but coherence maintenance. We demonstrate that the RCD framework reveals a characteristic coherence ratio α ≡ Γ/J appearing across radically different physical domains: superconducting qubits (~10⁻⁴), cosmological dark energy (~10⁻⁴), and neural systems (~0.1, critical regime). The universality refers to the structural form α = Γ/J and the necessity of N-signatures, not to a single numerical value. Key thesis: "RCD does not exploit quantum computers to compute more, but to remain coherent longer in regimes where classical control fails." This paper closes the XIV series by unifying mathematical foundations (XIV-A), cosmological application (XIV-B), impossibility theorem (XIV-C), and first-principles derivation (XIV-D) into a cross-domain framework with unified falsifiability criteria. We establish formal mathematical isomorphisms between the coherence field C proposed in Radial Coherential Dynamics (RCD) and four established quantum protection mechanisms: continuous quantum Zeno effect, topological energy gaps, continuous dynamical decoupling (CDD), and thermodynamic frustration of decoherence. Our results demonstrate that unprotected quantum entanglement collapses faster than classical schemes under realistic noise, and that only architectures incorporating a dynamic rigidity mechanism — isomorphic to continuous Zeno, topological gaps, or decoherence frustration — can surpass the classical binding limit. Recent experimental validations, including Google Quantum AI's surface code achieving error suppression factor Λ = 2.14 and JILA's Zeno suppression in ultracold KRb molecules, provide empirical grounding for these theoretical correspondences. We demonstrate that the mathematical role played by the RCD C-field is isomorphic to that realized by several established coherence-protection mechanisms, suggesting a common functional role across diverse physical implementations. This is Paper XII in the RCD series, continuing the Quantum Binding track initiated in Paper XI. Keywords: coherence protection, quantum Zeno effect, topological protection, decoherence-free subspaces, quantum error correction, RCD theory, binding problem, isomorphism, Radial Coherential Dynamics
This preprint presents Temporal Decoherence Theory (TDT), the v16 extension of Radial Coherential Dynamics (RCD), offering a complete solution to the problem of time in physics. We propose that time does not exist as a fundamental dimension; instead, time is defined as the rate at which coherence decays in the universal coherence field C(x,t)C(x,t)C(x,t). The central result is the emergent-time equation: dt=−dCΓdt = -\frac{dC}{\Gamma}dt=−ΓdC where Γ\GammaΓ is the decoherence rate. This single relation unifies thermodynamics, causality, relativity, quantum mechanics, and cosmology under one coherent framework. Key results include: The arrow of time emerges automatically from monotonic coherence decay. The Second Law of Thermodynamics is derived rather than postulated: entropy increases because dC<0dC < 0dC<0. Causality is coherence ordering: higher coherence states cause lower coherence states. Relativistic time dilation (gravitational and kinematic) arises from variations in the local coherence field. Schrödinger’s equation is derived from coherence evolution. The age and structure of the universe follow from cumulative decoherence since C=1C = 1C=1 at the Big Bang. RCD v16 completes the conceptual unification of the theory: space, time, matter, gauge fields, quantum behavior, and gravity all emerge from the dynamics of a single coherence field. This release establishes the foundation for RCD v17, which will present the full Lagrangian and complete mathematical unification.
Radial Coherential Dynamics (RCD) posits a scalar coherence field 𝒞 whose deco- herence drives phenomena from quantum circuit noise to cosmological dark energy. Two mature but disconnected modules exist: (i) a cross-platform analysis of GHZ state fidelity under dephasing-dominated noise, where a Lindblad model with local and col- lective dephasing channels produces a crossover at 𝑁⋆ ≈ 𝛾local/𝛾𝑐; and (ii) a cosmo- logical effective field theory in which a Caldeira–Leggett bath stabilizes a hilltop dark energy potential, with effective coefficients derived from an Ohmic spectral density parametrized by (𝜂, 𝜆, ΛUV). Here we construct a minimal phenomenological bridge between these modules by introducing a single dimensionless parameter 𝜀 ≡ 𝛾𝑐/𝛾local — the fraction of collective-to-local noise — and proposing, as an explicit ansatz, that 𝜀 is approximately scale-invariant. Under this ansatz, the laboratory measurement 𝑁⋆ ≈ 15–20 on IonQ Forte fixes 𝜀 ∈ [0.05, 0.07], which constrains the cosmological bath coupling 𝜂𝜆 to a narrow window. Conversely, the cosmological requirement of controlled backreaction imposes an upper bound 𝜀 < 𝜀max, predicting a lower bound 𝑁⋆ > 1/𝜀max testable in future multi-qubit experiments. For the benchmark param- eters of the HDE series, the three conditions (stabilization, backreaction, and QC data) overlap in the narrow window 𝜀 ∈ [0.05, 0.07], yielding a dark energy equation of state 𝑤0 ≈ −0.987, consistent with current DESI constraints. The bridge is explic- itly falsifiable: non-overlapping 𝜀 windows from QC and cosmology would refute the universal noise ansatz independently of the validity of either module.
Book IV — Persistence is part of the Radial Coherential Dynamics (RCD) research program and focuses on the physical conditions under which coherence and order can persist in open systems subject to noise and dissipation. Building on cross-platform experimental results obtained in January 2026—where GHZ entangled states exhibited approximately 50% improved coherence retention across incompatible quantum hardware—this book introduces the concept of structural persistence: the idea that certain correlation geometries resist decoherence not by isolation or active correction, but by minimizing their entropic attack surface. The work reframes the central question from “How do we create coherence?” to “What kinds of coherence can survive?” and examines three interconnected elements:(i) empirical persistence thresholds (e.g., the observed ~99.5% fidelity threshold),(ii) thermodynamic openness via entropy sinks (including the cosmological horizon), and(iii) the role of state geometry in optimizing dissipation. No new experiments are presented. Instead, the book consolidates existing data, evaluates compatibility with established physics (Landauer’s principle, Gibbons–Hawking thermodynamics, Jacobson’s derivation of gravity), and explicitly delineates what is known, hypothesized, and not yet derived. Book IV does not claim a new theory of gravity, consciousness, or cosmology. It establishes a disciplined conceptual framework and a falsifiable research program, identifying open gaps and proposing concrete directions for future experimental and theoretical tests. This volume emphasizes methodological modesty: compatibility is not proof, but without compatibility, no path forward exists.
A fundamental gap in quantum thermodynamics is resolved through the derivation of a single operational constraint that closes information gain, memory cost, and measurement back-action into a unified informational budget. It is demonstrated that bandwidth-limited acquisition and measurement-driven control emerge as fundamental consequences of this budget. A universal Critical Bandwidth is identified, marking the threshold where classical dissipation necessitates a transition to quantum-entangled states. This framework is validated by an empirical audit of the human cortex, identifying a 35:1 communication-to-computation energy ratio as the definitive thermodynamic signature of the Entanglement Heat Premium. The discovery of a scale-invariant efficiency constant, establishes the human brain as a near-optimal quantum-limited engine. These results provide a unified scaling law for the energetic limits of intelligence, bridging the gap between superconducting qubits and biological consciousness.
