STRATA–KAIROS PHYSICS Abstract Strata–Kairos Physics proposes a propagation-centered reformulation of physical law. Ordered strata replace time as the primary organizing parameter. The framework preserves Hamiltonian structure, conservation laws, and empirical adequacy while resolving interpretational paradoxes tied to time-based formulations. Core Principle Physical reality unfolds through ordered propagation (Kairos), not through an external clock. Space, causality, and dynamics emerge from constraint-governed reconfiguration across strata. Mathematical Basis Time derivatives are replaced by propagation-order derivatives. Hamiltonian dynamics, action principles, and angular momentum conservation remain intact. Implications The framework unifies classical mechanics, quantum phenomena, and chaotic systems under a single propagation-based ontology.

This addendum proposes a conservative reframing for “the trouble with time”: replace linear time with a monotonic propagation index (“layer count”), with constant layer rate (working estimate ). Using , classical kinematics/dynamics and quantum evolution (Schrödinger equation) can be rewritten consistently without introducing exotic entities. The aim is to reduce paradoxes caused by treating “time” as primitive when observations are inherently propagation-limited and layered, and to provide a practical test-rewrite method for researchers across physics and computation.

This paper presents a unified physical interpretation of the Ze framework, positioning it not as a computational algorithm but as a foundational ontological theory. We argue that Ze is built upon a single primitive: a fundamental state whose norm is conserved. This state admits a dual representation—continuous for analysis and discrete for dynamics—where integer-valued counters constitute the physical substrate. From this basis, all conventional physical concepts are derived. Quantization emerges from the discreteness of counter updates, replacing wave-particle duality with a minimal unit of registration. Causality and the arrow of time arise from the principle of directional stabilization, where the causal order is the sequence that maximizes global state predictability. Space and time are not independent continua but emerge as antiparallel modes of processing the state: time as sequential accumulation and space as parallel comparison. Their competition yields the kinematic structure of Special Relativity, while gradients in the state's stable orientation manifest as effective curvature, reproducing General Relativity. Consequently, matter is interpreted as a stabilized pattern, motion as its reorientation, and forces as stabilization gradients. The interpretation leads to a monistic ontology where the universe is a single, conserved state undergoing structured redistribution, offering a parsimonious path to unifying quantum and relativistic phenomena without dualistic postulates.
This paper develops a unified ontological framework in which quantum indeterminacy, classical determinism, and gravitational structure are interpreted not as manifestations of distinct fundamental laws, but as regime-dependent consequences of a single physical constraint: finite propagation at the invariant speed c. We argue that the transition from reversible physical possibility to irreversible physical fact is regulated by the finite rate at which interaction outcomes can propagate, accumulate, and stabilize. Irreversibility is tied explicitly to entropy-producing interactions subject to causal delay, grounding the framework in nonequilibrium thermodynamics rather than measurement postulates. We introduce a phenomenological order parameter, commitment density (ρcommit), defined as the locally accumulated history of irreversible constraint formation under finite propagation. Distinct physical regimes arise when this quantity crosses a critical percolation threshold (ρc), yielding three ontological domains: quantum under-representation (ρcommit ≪ ρc, insufficient closure), classical balance (ρcommit~ρc, writable yet stable), and cosmological over-representation (ρcommit ≫ ρc, saturated and non-writable). Key terms are defined in the main text. This regime structure provides a unified reinterpretation of quantum measurement, classical determinism, and horizon formation. Event horizons are generalized as the observational signature of causal saturation, appearing wherever accumulated closure renders regions non-writable. Time emerges from cyclic but asymmetric closure processes whose accumulated bias produces temporal direction. The framework makes specific falsifiable predictions: commitment should be gradual and resolvable in time-resolved decoherence experiments; gravitational-wave memory should be detectable as permanent relational displacement; and the quantum-classical boundary should depend on commitment density rather than mass or scale alone. Four explicit conditions that would falsify the framework are specified in Appendix A.
This volume introduces the canonical realization mechanism that connects correlational ontology and formal structure to effective physical description. A universal correlational flow is defined as a non-ontological ordering principle acting on correlational configuration space, without invoking time or dynamics. From this realization mechanism, an emergent structural action and fundamental emergent equations are derived. The volume develops the emergence of time, dynamics, space, geometry, quantum and classical regimes, and physical laws as regime-dependent effective descriptions. Known physical theories—quantum mechanics, classical mechanics, and relativity—are recovered as distinct realization regimes. The volume makes explicit the non-fundamental status of action principles, equations of motion, and spacetime geometry. This volume constitutes the physical core of the framework.
