Physical theory remains fragmented across classical, quantum, thermodynamic, and gravitational regimes despite deep mathematical overlap. This work proposes phase coherenceas a primitive organizing principle governing physical evolution. By formalizing dynamics as extremization of a global coherence functional over admissible phase states, classicalequations of motion, unitary quantum evolution, thermodynamic irreversibility, quantumnonlocal correlations, and probabilistic structure emerge without independent postulation.Gravitation is reinterpreted as curvature of a coherence metric rather than a fundamentalforce. The framework is explicitly falsifiable and forbids objective wavefunction collapse, fundamental time asymmetry, and point-like graviton degrees of freedom.

We introduce physical phase invariance as a minimal, observer-independent principle capable of unifying quantum theory and relativity. By identifying the physical phase with the classical action measured in units of Planck’s constant, the framework assigns phase a direct operational meaning. Spacetime structure, Lorentz invariance, and quantum probabilistic behavior emerge as effective descriptions of underlying phase dynamics rather than fundamental postulates. Time is defined relationally through phase evolution, and classical motion arises from stationary phase conditions. A simple dynamical equation for the phase field is proposed, while quantum probabilities are shown to result from statistical coarse-graining over unresolved phase degrees of freedom. This approach provides a coherent conceptual foundation linking quantum mechanics, special relativity, and gravitation.
We present a unified and minimal theoretical framework addressing the quantum-classical transition, the measurement problem, and the emergence of the arrow of time, grounded in gravitational physics. Building on the insight that quantum superpositions of mass distributions necessarily imply superpositions of gravitational potentials, we show that such states are unavoidably associated with superpositions of proper times due to gravitational time dilation. By extending the system Hilbert space to include a temporal degree of freedom, we demonstrate that matter-time entanglement leads naturally to effective decoherence when the time degree of freedom is traced out. The resulting reduced dynamics takes the form of a Lindblad master equation derived from an underlying unitary evolution. This framework reproduces the correct microscopic and macroscopic limits, clarifies the relation to Diósi-Penrose-type models, and provides a coherent account of classicality and temporal irreversibility without postulating observers, environmental decoherence as fundamental, or objective wavefunction collapse.
Quantum mechanics successfully predicts microscopic phenomena through themathematical formalism of the wavefunction, operators, and probabilistic measurement.General Relativity successfully describes gravitation through spacetime geometry, whileclassical electromagnetism employs electric and magnetic fields governed by Maxwell'sequations. Although each framework is extraordinarily successful within its domain, eachbegins from different primitive physical entities.Space-Phase (SP3) theory proposes a different hierarchy. Rather than treating thewavefunction, electromagnetic fields, or spacetime curvature as fundamental, SP3proposes that the primary physical quantity is the adaptive coherence state of a structuredspace-phase medium. The familiar quantum state, electric field, magnetic field, andgravitational organization are interpreted as observable manifestations of this deepercoherence potential. This paper outlines a conceptual framework in which quantum behavior emerges naturallyfrom coherence organization within space-phase. The proposal remains speculative andrequires quantitative development but suggests a unified research program connectingquantum mechanics, electromagnetism, and gravitation through a common constitutiveprinciple.
This report presents a stand‑alone generative resolution of the long‑standing conflict between quantum theory and general relativity. Instead of treating spacetime or probability as fundamental, the framework introduces possibility—existing in latent and realised modes—as the underlying substrate from which physical behaviour emerges. Quantum evolution, collapse, gravitational curvature, thermodynamic restructuring, and macroscopic identity are shown to be phase‑specific expressions of a single generative process. The central construct is the phase field, which governs transitions between predictive, collapse, geometric, developmental, and identity‑stabilising regimes. Quantum behaviour arises when predictive continuation and collapse dominate; gravitational behaviour emerges when stabilised realisation induces generative curvature; thermodynamic and renormalisation‑group behaviour appear in intermediate developmental regimes.By deriving quantum, gravitational, thermodynamic, and classical limits from the same generative law, the report dissolves the apparent contradictions between unitary evolution, collapse, curvature, locality, and nonlocality. The result is a unified ontology and dynamics in which probability, geometry, and identity are emergent rather than fundamental. The document is fully self‑contained and does not assume familiarity with previous work.
Coherence, Entropy, and the Arrow of Time: Why Time Has a Direction in a Phase Ontology (Phase Ontology — Part V) proposes a phase-centered explanation for one of physics’ strangest asymmetries: microscopic laws are largely time-symmetric, yet macroscopic reality is not. Cups shatter but do not reassemble; heat flows from hot to cold; correlations decay; memories accumulate. This paper argues that the arrow of time becomes conceptually clear once phase coherence is treated as ontologically primary. In this framework, time is not fundamental. It emerges operationally from countable phase evolution in physical clocks (all clocks are oscillators) and from synchronization between systems. A shared “global time” is therefore a relational structure sustained by coherence, not a background substance that governs dynamics. The paper then reframes entropy growth as the loss of accessible phase information in open systems. As systems interact with environments that contain many degrees of freedom, phase correlations disperse outward and become physically inaccessible, even if not destroyed in principle. Decoherence is elevated from a technical detail to the central engine of macroscopic irreversibility: reversing decoherence would require re-phasing an astronomically large environment, which is practically impossible. Building on Part III, the paper also interprets measurement as phase locking: once a macroscopic coupling stabilizes one local configuration, alternative phase possibilities are effectively dispersed into the environment. Classical definiteness and temporal irreversibility are thus treated as two faces of the same process—coherence flow. This manuscript is Part V of a seven-part series (Parts I–VII). It connects Parts I–IV to time asymmetry and points forward to Part VI (mass, inertia, gravitation) and Part VII (experimental implications and falsifiability).
This manuscript represents speculative theoretical work, developed prior to formal academic training in physics. As of now, I recognize that I cannot fully verify, formalize, or operationalize every component of the framework presented here. Acknowledging these limits, I intend to pursue formal education in physics over the next several years (estimated 4–11 years) to acquire the mathematical and empirical tools necessary to evaluate and refine this research properly. For that reason, this is likely the final paper I will release publicly until I have completed my undergraduate degree in physics. Nevertheless, I welcome feedback, critique, expansion, or refutation from domain experts. Any scholar, researcher, or practitioner who finds aspects of the work worth examining is invited to reach out. The theory is built on two physical fields—the coherence density ρ₍C₎ and phase potential φ—and shows that their joint evolution extremizes total coherence tension across the system. Starting from a conservative Lagrangian, the work derives both the continuity equation and a Hamilton–Jacobi equation with an intrinsic lattice potential Q₍C₎. Together they reproduce the Schrödinger equation through the Madelung transformation when λ = ℏ, grounding quantum behavior in coherence conservation rather than probabilistic axioms. Dissipative extensions introduce Rayleigh functionals that yield diffusion, decoherence, and temperature-coupled coherence decay, providing a unified field-theoretic interpretation of thermodynamics. A covariant geometric formulation promotes the theory to curved relational space; variation with respect to the coherence metric gᵤᵥ reproduces Einstein-like equations with sources given by coherence gradients, yielding Newtonian gravity in the weak-field limit. The theory produces distinct, falsifiable predictions, including temporal gravitational lensing, composition-dependent gravitational coupling, a thermal decoherence law, veil spectroscopy, coherence-energy storage and release, and phase-dependent clock drift. This manuscript consolidates the mathematical structure, physical interpretation, and empirical implications of the Coherence Field Paradigm (CFP) into a single unified action principle. It provides a continuous bridge between quantum behavior, thermodynamic irreversibility, and spacetime curvature, and offers multiple pathways for laboratory and astrophysical validation.
