Quantum Mechanics Before Copenhagen – A Holland Field (Φ) Reinterpretation of the Early Quantum Crisis

John Holland

Quantum Mechanics Before Copenhagen – A Holland Field (Φ) Reinterpretation of the Early Quantum Crisis The GETT Correspondence Series – Paper 6John Edward HollandIndependent Researcher | ORCID: 0009-0001-5120-8712 Description Why did physics conclude that microscopic reality must be fundamentally probabilistic, observer-dependent, and intrinsically quantised? This work revisits the original empirical crises that gave rise to quantum mechanics between 1900 and 1930—including: blackbody radiation, Planck quantisation, the photoelectric effect, atomic stability, discrete spectral structure, wave–particle duality and double-slit interference. Using General Expanse Tension Theory (GETT) and the Holland Field, Φ, a real, gauge-invariant, all-pervading scalar substrate, this paper asks a deliberately counterfactual but scientifically precise question: Did the original quantum evidence uniquely require the abandonment of physical realism… or might the same observations have admitted an alternative causal interpretation had a physically admissible substrate been available? Across the correspondence domain explicitly examined, this work demonstrates exact mathematical correspondence or non-trivial structural correspondence with the original experimental record while preserving all measured observables. Within the GETT framework: Planck quantisation is reinterpreted as resonance-lock state selection, blackbody mode occupation emerges from boundary-conditioned standing modes, photoelectric thresholds arise through local matter–Φ closure conditions, atomic shell structure is reconstructed through nucleus-seeded standing-mode geometry, wave–particle duality is reinterpreted as real propagating disturbances (ETRs) within Φ, coupled with localised resonance-lock detection. This work does not claim full derivation of modern quantum mechanics, nor recovery of the Schrödinger equation, Born rule, entanglement, or Hilbert-space formalism. Rather, it establishes the narrower but significant result that: The empirical evidence that originally motivated quantum mechanics does not, by itself, uniquely require Copenhagen ontology. If correct, the observed discreteness of quantum phenomena may not reflect intrinsically granular energy, but instead the measurable consequence of density-conditioned resonance-lock coupling between matter and the Holland Field, Φ. Key Scientific Contributions ✔ Historical reconstruction of the original quantum crisis using original experimental baselines✔ Introduction of a physically real scalar substrate as a causal alternative to wavefunction-only ontology✔ First unified resonance-lock correspondence across blackbody radiation, photoelectric thresholds, atomic stability, and interference phenomena✔ Density-regulated scalar substrate spanning laboratory, atomic, astrophysical, and cosmological regimes✔ Explicit identification of remaining open questions, including Born-rule statistical closure Keywords Quantum foundations, Copenhagen interpretation, quantum realism, scalar field, hidden variables, emergent quantisation, blackbody radiation, Planck quantisation, photoelectric effect, atomic stability, wave-particle duality, double slit experiment, resonance-lock, standing waves, Expanse Tension Ripples, Holland Field, General Expanse Tension Theory, GETT

Resolution-Limited Observability and the Emergence of Quantum Probability

Toru Kawahara

Quantum mechanics employs probabilistic formalisms that are often interpreted as reflecting intrinsic indeterminacy of physical reality. Despite its empirical success, this interpretation leaves unresolved why deterministic behavior re-emerges at macroscopic scales. This paper argues that quantum probability arises instead from finite observational resolution imposed by spacetime granularity. When physical processes are subdivided beyond the Planck-scale limits of temporal and spatial resolution, individual micro-events become unobservable in principle. In this regime, observation collapses continuous deterministic dynamics into ensemble-averaged and probabilistic descriptions. The infinite subdivision principle is introduced to formalize this transition: subdivision beyond observational bandwidth irreversibly removes phase information at the observer level while leaving underlying dynamics intact. Probability amplitudes are shown to encode compressed residual phase relationships among unresolved micro-configurations, while expectation values represent structurally stable quantities accessible above the resolution threshold. Within this framework, quantum mechanics is reinterpreted as a resolution-limited projection of deterministic structure rather than as a fundamentally indeterminate theory. This perspective aligns naturally with Existence-Quantized Geometric Theory (EQGT), in which existence and observability are governed by threshold conditions and event-biased observation.

General Quantum Theory No Axiom Presumption: I ----Quantum Mechanics and Solutions to Crisises of Origins of Both Wave-Particle Duality and the First Quantization

Chen‐Bin Huang, Yong-Chang Huang, Jia-Min Song

Density distribution function of classical statistical mechanics is generally generalized as a product of a general complex function and its complex Hermitian conjugate function, and the average of classical statistical mechanics is generalized as the average of the quantum mechanics. Furthermore, this paper derives three ones of the five axiom presumptions of quantum mechanics, makes the three axiom presumptions into three theorems of quantum mechanics, not only solves the crisis to hard understand, but also gets new theories and new discoveries, e.g., this paper solves the crisis of the origin of the wave-particle duality (i.e., complementary principle), derives operators, eigenvalues and eigenstates, deduces commutation relations for coordinate and momentum as well as the time and energy, and discovers quantum mechanics is just a generalization ( mechanics ) theory of the square root of ( density function of ) classical statistical mechanics, which will make people renew thinking modern physics development. In addition, this paper discovers the reason why the time derivative of Schrȍdinger doesn’t takes the derivative of space coordinates. Therefore, this paper gives solution to the Crisis of the first quantization origin.
