Quantum-Enhanced Artificial Intelligence (QAI) integrates quantum computing with advanced AI techniques to transform computational intelligence in next-generation systems. By leveraging quantum properties such as superposition and entanglement, QAI enables faster processing, improved optimization, and enhanced learning capabilities beyond classical limits. This study highlights hybrid quantum-classical models and quantum machine learning approaches that improve pattern recognition and decision-making across domains such as healthcare, finance, and automation. It also addresses key challenges, including hardware limitations, noise, and scalability, along with the need for secure and ethical frameworks. Overall, QAI offers a powerful pathway toward faster, more adaptive, and scalable intelligent systems, driving innovation and shaping the future of AI-driven industries.

The integration of quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI) has opened new frontiers for enhancing cognitive adaptability and advancing artificial general intelligence (AGI). This study explores the conceptual synergy between quantum–AI integration as an independent variable, cognitive adaptability as a mediating variable, and AGI cognitive performance as the dependent variable. By examining how quantum principles such as superposition and entanglement enhance AI’s capacity for non-linear reasoning, this research outlines a transformative model that aligns with human-like cognition. The study employs simulation-based analyses comparing classical and quantum–AI models across diverse cognitive tasks, revealing that quantum–AI systems outperform traditional AI in adaptability, problem generalization, and decision precision. The results indicate that quantum-enhanced learning enables faster adaptation and improved generalization, suggesting significant implications for cognitive modeling, human–machine collaboration, and AGI development. The theoretical contribution lies in expanding AGI’s cognitive architecture through quantum principles, while the practical implications include the development of adaptive, self-learning AI systems for complex, dynamic environments. Future research should explore empirical testing of quantum–AI frameworks, cross-disciplinary modeling between quantum cognition and neuroscience, and ethical considerations in autonomous decision-making systems.

Quantum Computing for Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence–Based Blockchain

Senthil Kumar Arumugam, Shabnam Kumari, Shrikant Tiwari +1 more

The integration of quantum computing with blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize the landscape of decentralized systems. This chapter discusses the transformative synergy between these technologies, with a focus on its implications for next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) applications within the blockchain domain. As blockchain continues to evolve as a trusted and immutable ledger, the deployment of quantum computing holds promises for enhancing security, scalability, and the capabilities of AI-driven smart contracts and consensus mechanisms. This work discusses the core principles of quantum computing and their applicability to blockchain technology. Quantum bits (qubits) can significantly enhance the cryptographic and consensus aspects of blockchain, making it more robust against traditional attacks, such as those related to public key cryptography (PKI). Furthermore, this work discusses the role of quantum-enhanced AI within the blockchain ecosystem. The integration of quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks into smart contracts and consensus algorithms opens new possibilities for improving decision-making processes, enhancing data analytics, and enabling predictive AI models on the blockchain.
