SIMULATION AND ANALYSIS OF SPDC-BASED ENTANGLED PHOTON PAIR SOURCE FOR QUANTUM COMMUNICATIONS WITH SPECTRAL MULTIPLEXING

Breno Perlingeiro

The quantum internet has dragged the attention of many researchers and companies. The essential element to accomplish it is entanglement.Distributing entanglement allows the transmission of qubits without really sending them through the quantum channel. Therefore, the source that produces these entangled states shall do it reliably and with a competitive rate to classical communication. This work presents a simulation tool for the most common entangled photon pair source, the SPDC-based EPPS.Furthermore, using filters, we can emulate the effect of cavity-enhanced SPDC.Optimizing the parameters of the source, we achieved a 6dB gain on the Secret Key Rate compared to a simple SPDC process.

IMPROVING THE TELEPORTATION OF TRIPARTITE ENTANGLED COHERENT STATES IN CONTINUOUS VARIABLE

Yong Sun, BEN-JIN SUN, MEI-LI SHI +2 more

We propose a feasible scheme for the quantum teleportation of tripartite entangled coherent state in terms of linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters and photo detectors. The scheme is based on the bipartite maximally entangled coherent state and the tripartite entangled coherent state with bipartite maximal entanglement as quantum channels. It shows that for an appreciable mean number of photons equal to 2, the total minimum of average fidelity for an arbitrary tripartite entangled state is 0.981684.

THE OBSERVER AS THE PHYSICAL SOURCE OF MEASUREMENT, ERROR, AND CONTROL LIMITS

Darren Cudd

This paper establishes the observer as the single physical structure underlying measurement limits, informational constraints, error, entropy production, feedback instability, and quantum back-action. By defining the observer as a finite matter–energy system embedded within the dynamics it observes, the paper shows that uncertainty, error, control limits, and thermodynamic cost are not separate phenomena but necessary consequences of observer finitude. No new laws are proposed; the contribution is a unification that makes explicit a constraint already implicit across physics and engineering: all empirical limits arise from the physical nature of observers themselves.
