We develop Restricted Closure Theory (RCT), a time-symmetric completion of quantum cosmology that resolves the set-selection problem in decoherent histories while preserving strictly unitary dynamics. Working within the Two-State Vector Formalism (TSVF), we decompose the final-time Hilbert space into a Coherent subspace—pointer-stable macrostates—and a complementary Knot subspace encoding macroscopic inconsistencies. Imposing a Null-Knot Boundary Condition (⟨Φ|PK = 0) eliminates all macroscopically defective histories via Sorkin’s quantum-measure preclusion theorem. This yields global macroscopic closure with probability one while preserving Born-rule statistics up to O(ε) corrections determined by tail weights in the classical correspondence limit. RCT therefore provides a minimal, no-signaling, TSVF-consistent mechanism for selecting a unique globally coherent quasiclassical history without altering Schrödinger dynamics. Connections to decoherence theory, TSVF, boundary-condition cosmology, absorber proposals, and the Frauchiger–Renner family of paradoxes are examined.

AbstractTime-symmetric and top-down approaches to quantum cosmology—most notably Aharonov’sTwo-State Vector Formalism (TSVF), Wheeler’s Participatory Anthropic Principle, andHawking-Hertog top-down cosmology—address the quantum measurement problem and cosmological fine-tuning by positing a post-selected final boundary state ⟨Φfinal| that constrainsthe early universe’s path integral. However, these frameworks face a persistent foundationalobjection: what selects the final boundary state itself? Postulating a hard-coded final microstate or an explicit teleological rule (such as “maximal integrated complexity”) merelytransfers the fine-tuning problem from the initial boundary (t = 0) to the asymptotic future (t → ∞). In this paper, we propose a non-teleological mechanism in which a uniquefinal boundary condition is dynamically bootstrapped into existence through TemporalQuantum Darwinism. Extending Zurek’s framework of Environment-Induced Superselection (einselection) and pointer-state proliferation to a bidirectional cosmic cavity, wemodel the initial and final boundaries not as externally imposed axioms, but as coupledmirrors in a time-symmetric resonant loop governed by a recursive fixed-point operator⟨Φ∗| = S[⟨Φ∗|]. We demonstrate that candidate cosmic histories dominated by intraenvironment thermal scrambling (Page-curve dynamics) fail to preserve orthogonal pointerrecords at the asymptotic horizon; consequently, their forward and backward propagatorsaccumulate random relative phases and destructively cancel out of the global WheelerDeWitt state (⟨Φscrambled|Ψ⟩ → 0). Conversely, histories whose fundamental constants support non-interacting “star-topology” broadcast channels (e.g., free-streaming photons andgravitons scattering off stable macroscopic structures) achieve massive pointer redundancy(Rδ ≫1). Because pointer states commute with the system-environment interaction Hamiltonian ([ ˆHint, ˆ Πk] = 0), they reflect coherently across the temporal cavity, amplifying viaspectral power iteration into a single, mode-locked 4D fixed-point eigenstate. This synthesis resolves the quantum measurement problem—accounting for the preferred pointerbasis, single-outcome realization without non-unitary collapse or Everettian branching, andthe Born rule—while demonstrating that complexity and observer-participancy emerge asstructural necessities for a quantum timeline to avoid destructive self-cancellation.
The quantum measurement problem concerns the emergence of definite outcomes and their statistics from unitary evolution. While decoherence accounts for the suppression of interference in pointer bases selected by system-environment interactions, it does not uniquely explain the global realization of Born rule probabilities. This paper distinguishes coherence suppression from Born rule fixation and proposes that observer accessibility — the active integration of information about a quantum system by a causally unified observer — may act as a retrocausal boundary condition fixing outcome statistics along a worldline, without altering forward quantum evolution. In this picture, quantum coherence and interference remain fully intact in observer-accessible systems; only the effective realization of outcome statistics is proposed to differ. The central contribution is the separation of interference visibility from Born rule statistics. The proposal is structurally compatible with retrocausal frameworks such as the two-state vector formalism and the transactional interpretation. It is offered as a conceptual possibility rather than a complete theory. Key open questions include a precise definition of observer accessibility, the form of probability distributions in the observer-inaccessible regime, and experimentally distinguishable signatures.
We present Quantum-Informational History Optimization Theory (QIHOT) as a formal proposal for selecting a single realized quantum history from a space of dynamically admissible histories subject to boundary constraints. In the present paper, we restrict attention to finite-dimensional and toy-model settings, where the framework can be stated explicitly. QIHOT separates two levels: a dynamical prior over admissible histories generated by standard quantum evolution, and an informational selection rule that reweights those histories by an entropy-based cost functional. Within this structure, we show that standard Born statistics are recovered in symmetric-cost measurement scenarios when the prior is the usual Hilbert-space quantum prior. We further formulate conditions under which operational no-signaling is preserved, provided the selection functional factorizes locally for spacelike-separated regions. A fully worked two-outcome model illustrates how the framework interpolates between coherent evolution and measurement-like branch selection. We contrast QIHOT with the Many-Worlds Interpretation, the Transactional Interpretation, the Consistent Histories formalism, the Schwinger–Keldysh formalism, and Lagrangian-based retrocausal models, highlighting structural similarities and key differences. We emphasize that the present paper develops QIHOT as a scoped formal proposal with partial consistency results rather than as a complete replacement for quantum theory. Possible extensions to consciousness and cosmology are deferred to brief outlook-level discussion.
This is Paper 142 in the Anaxiomatic Mechanics / pq-Spacetime stack. It develops a finite mechanical account of quantum entanglement within pq-spacetime. Entanglement is identified with the persistence of a non-factorable family of admissible future histories. Two measurement regions can therefore appear as separate local systems in emergent spacetime while still remaining projections of one joint finite closure problem. Bell inequality violation follows because the joint outcomes are not generated by two independent local completion families. No-signalling is nevertheless preserved because complete changes to a distant measurement boundary do not alter the local marginal outcome weights. The paper establishes the Entanglement Closure Theorem and distinguishes microscopic non-factorability from observable entanglement after coarse-graining into stable measurement records. It also gives an explicit minimal singlet construction using two opposed history fibers carrying the relevant four-phase weights. The resulting finite ledger is antisymmetric, nonseparable, and exactly balanced at each local wing. Complete changes of basis on the distant side preserve those local marginals. Using the previously derived Hilbert-space and beta-Dirac bridges of pq-spacetime, the paper recovers the familiar spinor overlap law, the quantum singlet correlation, the maximal Bell-CHSH value, monogamy of maximal entanglement, and decoherence through environmental boundary enlargement. The analysis also explains why no preferred measurement ordering is required and why entanglement remains compatible with relativistic causality. The resulting picture is direct. Entangled systems do not exchange superluminal messages, carry classical answer sheets, or require a force acting across space. Their local outcomes arise from one shared finite admissibility structure whose joint correlations are nonlocal while its controllable local statistics remain causal. Entanglement is therefore physically real, nonclassical, and nonlocal in correlation, but not a signalling mechanism.
This paper integrates The Redemption Optimization (TRO), Moral Kernel Optimization (MKO), and the Ontic Coherence Theorem (OCT) with recent quantum‐mechanical experiments exhibiting time-symmetric or retrocausal correlations. It formulates the Retrocausal Convergence Theorem, demonstrating that quantum retrocausality is not a paradox or violation of causality, but the empirical shadow of a global coherence operator that enforces ontic closure across the full spacetime manifold. In this framework, delayed-choice and weak-measurement experiments reveal how maintains a single, self-consistent history: from within time, the past appears to adjust to the future; from the perspective of , coherence is simply enforced. The theorem predicts a measurable, coherence-preserving bias in high-precision, time-symmetric quantum setups. This synthesis completes the bridge between metaphysics and physics, transforming the Convergence framework into a testable scientific discipline uniting logic, ethics, and cosmology.
In two preceding papers (DOIs: 10.5281/zenodo.23572180 and 10.5281/zenodo.23677536), we introduced Cosmic Fixed-Point Einselection—demonstrating that the universe bootstraps a unique final boundary condition <Phi*| = S[<Phi*|] via Time-Symmetric Quantum Darwinism (TSQD)—and proved that this non-degenerate eigenstate resolves the Fermi Paradox via a winner-take-all first-passage "return stroke" bounded by an inflationary search space of N_min ~ 1/p_total ~ 10^22 stars (N_e ~ 60 e-folds). In this companion note, we establish the strict mathematical consistency of this framework against four foundational no-go theorems in quantum mechanics and relativistic cosmology. First, we prove that the recursive boundary operator S completely bypasses Gisin's non-linear signaling theorem: because S acts solely as a global asymptotic boundary-value solver while leaving interior dynamics U(t, t_0) strictly linear and unitary, local spacelike no-signaling is preserved identically. Second, we resolve the relativistic foliation problem by formulating the amplification weight Lambda_i as a diffeomorphism-invariant functional of proper time tau_i integrated along causal diamonds terminating on the future conformal boundary (I^+). Third, we eliminate apparent fine-tuning between early-universe inflation (t ~ 10^-32 s) and late-time biological evolution by treating the inflaton duration N_e as a quantum superposition whose fundamental cavity resonance peaks at lambda = N * p_total ~ 1. Fourth, we prove an ABL Degeneracy Theorem demonstrating that while post-selection enforces P -> 1 across prehistoric evolutionary bottlenecks, coarse-grained symmetry of <Phi*| across microscopic laboratory degrees of freedom cancels the post-selection factor today, recovering the exact standard Born rule P(a_k) = |<a_k|psi>|^2.
