Abstract

Full Vers.3 / The Morphic Resolution of the Young’s Slits Paradox: Wave-Particle Duality as a Morphic Guidance Phenomenon DOI : 10.5281/zenodo.17928212 Nelson Karabudak - Independent Researcher nelson.karabudak@gmail.com Abstract The double-slit experiment remains central to the foundations of quantum mechanics: a single particle produces an interference pattern as if it traversed both slits simultaneously, yet the insertion of a path-marking measurement suppresses this interference. This paper presents a structural resolution based on the Karabdak Unified Theory (KUT). In this framework, the Geometric Fabric is treated as an active field of informational potentiality. The particle is defined as a localized "Coherence Knot" guided by a delocalized Morphic Potential. We demonstrate mathematically that the act of measurement injects an information density into the fabric, which alters its metric rigidity. This creates an effective refractive index that can arrest the propagation of the guiding wave, producing an abrupt, deterministic reduction in interference visibility. Key Contributions Microscopic Derivation: The effective propagation velocity is derived from a minimal Lagrangian formulation including a detector bath and Feynman-Vernon influence functional. Thermodynamic Consistency: The model resolves the energy balance via a fluctuation-dissipation relation, linking the friction coefficient to the background temperature of the fabric. Falsifiable Signature: The theory predicts a specific sigmoidal visibility curve with a distinct "plateau-drop" signature, contrasting with the continuous exponential decay of standard decoherence models. Unified High-Energy Limit (Mirror Effect): The derived impedance formula implies a universality where relativistic acceleration—like information density—drives the fabric’s rigidity to infinity, validating the "Mirror Effect" and topological traversal mechanisms predicted at cosmological scales. Technical Notes on Datasets (Annex F) The numerical tables provided in the full text follow these conventions: Normalization: Information density I is normalised to the critical density (I_crit = 1.0). Visibility Calculation: V(I) is computed from the derived logistic model. Confidence Intervals: 95% CIs are estimated from bootstrap methods on N = 10^4 impacts. Keywords Quantum Mechanics, Young's Slits, Wave-Particle Duality, Karabdak Unified Theory, Morphic Potential, Geometric Fabric, Measurement Problem, Mirror Effect, Lagrangian Mechanics.

The Geometric Fabric as Active Substrate Metric Rigidity, Morphic Guidance, and Topological Resonance in Quantum Phenomena

Nelson Karabudak

The Geometric Fabric as Active Substrate — Metric Rigidity, Morphic Guidance, and Topological Resonance in Quantum Phenomena DOI : 10.5281/zenodo.18611549 Description: This chapter presents a unified treatment of wave-particle duality and quantum entanglement within the Karabdak Unified Theory (KUT). Both phenomena are shown to emerge from a single mechanism: the active response of the Geometric Fabric to informational density, formalised through an effective impedance tensor Z_eff(I) derived from a Feynman–Vernon influence functional. The argument proceeds in four stages: (i) the Bell–CHSH–Fine impossibility results are reproduced and contextualised, establishing that local passive substrates are bounded by S ≤ 2 with irreducibly triangular correlations; (ii) a microscopic Lagrangian derivation yields the impedance modulation and a visibility function whose sigmoidal form is derived from the overdamped regime of the dissipative wave equation, with a steepness parameter expressed in measurable quantities; (iii) the non-local phase-locking mechanism (Metric Rigidity) is formulated as a topological constraint compatible with no-signalling, and the Information Saturation parameter ξ is derived from the impedance function; (iv) the framework is confronted with five cosmological scenarios — Cloud-9 RELHIC (with quantitative velocity dispersion estimate), the Bullet Cluster, CMB anomalies, galaxy rotation curves, and neutron star mergers. Five falsifiable predictions with explicit experimental protocols and falsification criteria are presented. An epistemic status convention ([DERIVED], [ANSATZ], [KNOWN], [OPEN]) is maintained throughout, with a summary table identifying what has been demonstrated and what remains open. The Geometric Fabric as Active Substrate Metric Rigidity, Morphic Guidance, and Topological Resonance in Quantum Phenomena

Nelson Karabudak

MESSAGE TO THE CURATORS OF THE HARVARD–SMITHSONIAN CENTER FOR ASTROPHYSICS ZENODO COMMUNITY Dear Curators, I respectfully submit for your consideration a theoretical chapter entitled "The Geometric Fabric as Active Substrate — Metric Rigidity, Morphic Guidance, and Topological Resonance in Quantum Phenomena," which proposes a unified mechanism for wave-particle duality and quantum entanglement. I wish to be transparent about the nature and scope of this work from the outset. The central proposal is that the geometric substrate underlying spacetime responds actively to informational density through an effective impedance, and that this single mechanism accounts for both the interference suppression observed in double-slit experiments and the Bell-inequality violations observed in entanglement experiments. The impedance tensor and the resulting visibility function are derived from a Lagrangian formulation with Feynman–Vernon influence functional — not postulated. The sigmoidal visibility profile follows analytically from the underdamped-to-overdamped transition of the dissipative wave equation, and its steepness parameter is expressed in terms of experimentally accessible quantities. I am equally transparent about what has not yet been derived. The non-local phase-locking mechanism (Metric Rigidity) is formulated as a topological constraint with a demonstrated no-signalling property, but its full derivation from the substrate topology remains an open problem. The mixing function governing the transition from local to quantum correlations is presented as a first-order approximation; the exact form requires solving the impedance-modulated wave equation in the entangled-pair geometry. These and four further open problems are explicitly catalogued in the manuscript, together with an Epistemic Status Summary table that marks every result as [DERIVED], [ANSATZ], [KNOWN], or [OPEN]. The chapter generates five falsifiable predictions, each with an explicit experimental protocol and a specific falsification criterion. Of particular relevance to the astrophysical community: (1) A quantitative prediction for the velocity dispersion of Cloud-9 RELHIC (σ_v < 25 km/s, versus the ΛCDM virial expectation of 50–70 km/s), testable via 21 cm emission line-width measurements. (2) A cored coherence-density profile for galaxy dark matter haloes, addressing the cusp-core problem, with the caveat that the functional form of σ(r) is not yet derived from first principles. (3) A high-frequency spectral modulation in neutron star merger gravitational wave signals, potentially detectable by next-generation observatories. I make no claim that this work is complete. It is a framework under construction, presented with what I believe is sufficient rigour and sufficient honesty to merit scrutiny. The predictions are on the table; the experiments are feasible; the falsification criteria are explicit. I submit this work in the conviction that science advances through exposure to the most demanding criticism, and I can think of no more demanding forum than yours. I am an independent researcher without institutional affiliation. General Expanse Tension Theory (GETT) Resolves Young's Double-Slit Experiment Mystery

Holland, John

GETT Resolves Young’s Double-Slit Experiment — J. E. Holland (2025)** This paper presents a complete physical resolution of Young’s double-slit experiment using the General Expanse Tension Theory (GETT) framework. GETT models all matter as localised excitations of a real, gauge-invariant scalar field Φ, and all wave-like behaviour as small propagating perturbations of this field, known as Expanse Tension Ripples (ETRs). These ripples are launched at the instant of particle emission and propagate at near-light speed. As two ETRs pass through the slits and interfere, they imprint a dynamic tension landscape into the Φ-field. The particle core does not superpose or interfere with itself; instead, it is continuously guided by the local tension gradient generated by the interference of the real δΦ waves. Note: The ETT / GETT framework and theory was developed to address macro-scale cosmic anomalies, galaxy rotations and late time accelerations, this paper simply applies the framework previously developed to this new application. The result is a deterministic, mechanistic explanation of the double-slit experiment that reproduces all key observations traditionally attributed to quantum wave–particle duality. The guidance mechanism emerges from the Φ-field’s density-dependent tension and operates smoothly across time: as the ETR interference pattern forms and sharpens, the particle experiences corresponding changes in the local tension slope, steering it toward regions of lowest tension. Across many single-particle events, this produces the observed statistical fringe pattern without invoking wavefunction collapse, superposition of particle trajectories, or any probabilistic interpretation of the particle itself. The paper includes: A full historical analysis from Hooke, Huygens, and Young to modern single-particle interferometry. A detailed explanation of Φ-field dynamics and the origin, propagation, and interference of ETRs. A time-resolved account of how the particle is guided by evolving tension gradients. A comprehensive 12-phase sequence describing the complete physical process from emission to detection. A mathematical core (Appendix N) giving the field Lagrangian, δΦ wave equation, tension structure, and force law. A simulation appendix (Appendix Q) demonstrating numerically that Fresnel-propagated ETRs, combined with tension-gradient guidance, reproduce the expected interference pattern without wavefunctions. A new visual appendix (Appendix R) illustrating the dynamic evolution of the interference landscape and real-time particle guidance. A predictions section (5.8) giving concrete, testable numerical signatures of GETT in modern interferometry, including expected fringe shifts, timing offsets, and modulation depths. This work shows that the double-slit experiment can be fully explained using only a single real field, its perturbations, and their tension gradients—without the conceptual difficulties of standard quantum mechanics. It provides a unified, physically transparent account that is consistent with all single-particle observations from Taylor (1909) to Tonomura (1989) and with modern weak-measurement and biprism experiments. By resolving the double-slit experiment using deterministic field physics, this paper strengthens the broader GETT programme, in which the Φ-field and its density dependency unify gravity, inertia, cosmology, and particle behaviour within a single theoretical structure. This study demonstrates that GETT naturally reproduces quantum interference and offers a clear, testable alternative to traditional quantum interpretations.

The Double Slit Falsification: Resolving Wave-Particle Duality via the Informational Constraint Framework

Mark A. Edwards

For exactly one century, the standard interpretation of quantum mechanics has conflated predictive statistical mathematics with physical ontology. By mistaking a mathematical map of probabilities for the physical territory of reality, twentieth-century physics enshrined Wave-Particle Duality and Wave-Function Collapse as fundamental tenets of nature, abandoning physical determinism for phenomenological mysticism. This repository contains the formal manuscript and executable visual proofs demonstrating that the paradox of Young's Double Slit experiment is entirely resolvable via macroscopic fluid thermodynamics. Utilizing the Informational Constraint Framework (ICF) and Macroscopic Relaxation Theory, we demonstrate that the electron is not a shape-shifting probability cloud, but a highly compressed, localized macroscopic geometry (the Core) propagating a continuous thermodynamic strain-gradient (the Wake) through a spatial substrate of strictly finite data-processing capacity. The Axiom of Propagation: The Wake shapes the terrain; the Core rides the terrain. By decoupling the Core from the Wake, this paper systematically derives single-slit kinematics, double-slit interference, the fundamental zero-mass nature of the photon, and the true physical reality of the "Observer Effect" strictly through the deterministic actions of continuous fluid topology. The cathedral of quantum probability is conceptually obsolete; it is herein mathematically replaced by the macroscopic thermodynamics of the spatial vacuum. Elastic Membrane Cosmology: Unraveling the Mystery of Young's Interference Experiment

Hung-Hsiang Chien

For over two centuries, Young’s double-slit experiment has remained a central mystery in physics, particularly regarding the observer effect and wave-particle du-ality. The Elastic Membrane Cosmology (EMC) theory[2] proposes a resolution by modeling the universe as a 5D ultra-solid elastic membrane. By incorporating recentexperimental proofs of “negative time,” this paper demonstrates that wave-particle duality is not fundamental mysticism, but a deterministic phenomenon. Electronsand photons act as geometric singularities propagating through an acoustic spatial gradient (Chladni standing waves), pre-carved by their own phase velocity. Thisframework eliminates the need for probabilistic wave function collapse, providing a geometric mechanism for decoherence and vindicating Albert Einstein’s belief indeterministic hidden variables.

A Geometric Origin of Wave-Particle Duality: Testable Predictions from Double-Slit Interference

zhengda li

Description: This study provides a testable geometric origin explanation for wave-particle duality in quantum mechanics, starting from first principles of discrete geometry. Core Scientific Question While the mathematical formalism of quantum mechanics can precisely predict experimental phenomena such as double-slit interference, the physical origin of wave-particle duality itself has long been treated as a fundamental axiom, lacking deeper explanation. This work attempts to answer: Could quantum phenomena arise from the collective statistical behavior of more fundamental discrete geometric structures? Theoretical Framework Based on a recently developed discrete geometry framework, we regard continuous spacetime as emerging from the topological gluing and recursive folding of Cantor sets. This geometric construction naturally leads to defect structures carrying intrinsic degrees of freedom, whose statistical fluctuations manifest as random noise accompanying the geometric phase field. The two-point correlation of the noise characterizes thermalization information, while higher-order correlations carry non-Gaussian information and long-term memory. Core Predictions For the double-slit interference experiment, we derive a coherence evolution formula and make three directly testable predictions: First, even under strong which-path measurement, interference fringes will exhibit residual visibility due to contributions from higher-order noise correlations, with magnitude between one-thousandth and one-hundredth. This stands in sharp contrast to the complete disappearance predicted by standard decoherence theory. Second, the decoherence process exhibits biexponential behavior, with fast and slow time scales whose ratio ranges from one hundred to one thousand. Third, path information and interference visibility satisfy a specific conservation relation, reflecting the intrinsic constraints on information transformation in discrete geometry. Experimental Proposal We propose a quantum optics experiment using squeezed light to test these predictions. The scheme employs nano-fabricated double slits and single-photon sources with tunable statistical properties, directly verifying the physical effects of higher-order correlations by comparing interference visibility differences between squeezed and coherent light sources. Current single-photon source technology already possesses the capability to resolve the required precision. Scientific Significance If the predictions are confirmed, this would for the first time experimentally establish quantum phenomena as collective statistical manifestations of discrete geometric structures, providing a geometric origin explanation for the Heisenberg uncertainty principle and an objective, consciousness-free mechanism for wavefunction collapse. Furthermore, this would provide tabletop experimental evidence for Planck-scale spacetime discreteness, building a bridge between quantum foundations and cosmological information research. If falsified, this would constrain microscopic parameters in the theory, pushing the model toward more complex colored noise generalizations.
