We demonstrate high-speed detection of low-photon waveforms using slow off-the-shelf detectors. Using a detector with a distorted instrument response function spanning > 1 ns, we recover single photon waveforms at a resolution of 60 ps.

Reconfigurable photonic arbitrary waveform generation based on a single CW laser and low frequency electronics

Côme Schnébelin, Hugues Guillet de Chatellus

We propose and demonstrate a new and simple concept of reconfigurable photonic generation of arbitrary RF waveforms, based on a recirculating frequency shifting loop seeded with a CW laser. We report arbitrary RF waveforms with specifications beyond state of the art photonic AWG techniques.

Hybrid Integrated Photonic Arbitrary Waveform Generator for Single-Atom Control

Julian Rasmus Bankwitz, Erik Jung, Philipp Schultzen +8 more

Integrated photonic arbitrary waveform generators allow significant advancements in scalability and performance of single qubit addressing in neutral atom quantum computers. In this work, we showcase a hybrid Si3N4/LiNbO3electro-optic circuit for single-atom controll, achieving switching speeds surpassing 15 GHz bandwidth and 50 dB extinction ratio.
