New Insights? Heisenberg's visit to Copenhagen in 1941 and the Bohr letters

Klaus Gottstein

It is shown that, in contrast to many interpretations in the press, the drafts of Bohr's unsent letters to Heisenberg are not contradicting Heisenberg's description of his famous trip in 1941 to Copenhagen, but are complementary to it.

The Spirit and the Letter of Copenhagen: A Response to Andrei Khrennikov

Arkady Plotnitsky

Hugh Everett letter to Aage Petersen, 12-March-1959

Everett, Hugh

Aage Petersen was Niels Bohr's personal assistant. Along with Bohr, Petersen spent the fall of 1954 in Princeton and he and Everett became friends. As someone close to both Everett and to Bohr, Petersen was one of Everett's principal correspondents concerning the relationship between his work and the Copenhagen interpretation. Petersen and Wheeler both served as intermediaries between Everett and Bohr. Here Everett describes his itinerary for a visit to Copenhagen, several years in the planning. Everett and Bohr did finally have a chance to meet, but it was not very profitable.
