Abstract

One dimensional molecular potentials are studied by solving the Schrödinger Equation for some well known potentials, such as the deformed Morse, Eckart and the Hua potentials. Parametric generalization of Hamiltonian Hierarchy is introduced. Nikiforov-Uvarov method and SUSYQM with Hamiltonian Hierarchy method is used in the calculations to get energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions exactly.

The one dimensional position dependent effective mass problem is studied by solving the Schrödinger equation for some well known potentials, such as the deformed Hulthen, the Mie, the Kratzer, the pseudoharmonic, and the Morse potentials. Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations to get energy eigenvalues and the corresponding wave functions exactly. By introducing a free parameter in the transformation of the wave function, the position dependent effective mass problem is reduced to the solution of the Schrödinger equation for the constant mass case. At the same time, the deformed Hulthen potential is solved for the position dependent effective mass case by applying the method directly. The Morse potential is also solved for a mass distribution function, such that the solution can be reduced to the constant mass case.

Exact solution of Schrödinger equation with q -deformed quantum potentials using Nikiforov—Uvarov method

B. J. Falaye, K. J. Oyewumi, M. Abbas

In this paper, we present the exact solution of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation for the q -deformed quantum potentials via the Nikiforov—Uvarov method. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of these potentials are obtained via this method. The energy equations and the corresponding wave functions for some special cases of these potentials are briefly discussed. The PT-symmetry and Hermiticity for these potentials are also discussed.

Arbitrary l-state Solution of the Schrödinger Equation for q-deformed Attractive Radial Plus Coulomb-like Molecular Potential within the Framework of NU-Method

B. I. Ita, Hitler Louis, Innocent Joseph +3 more

The Schrödinger equation in one dimension for the q-deformed attractive radial plus coulomb-like molecular potential (ARCMP) is solved approximately to obtain bound states eigen solutions using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. The corresponding unnormalized eigen functions are evaluated in terms of Jacobi polynomials. Interestingly, the resulting eigen energy equations can be used to study the spectroscopy of some selected diatomic atoms and molecules.

Bound State Solutions of Schrödinger Equation for Generalized Morse Potential with Position-Dependent Mass

Altuğ Arda, R. Sever

The effective mass one-dimensional Schrödinger equation for the generalized Morse potential is solved by using Nikiforov—Uvarov method. Energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are computed analytically. The results are also reduced to the constant mass case. Energy eigenvalues are computed numerically for some diatomic molecules. They are in agreement with the ones obtained before.
