Mr Tompkins sells gloves. Not ordinary gloves, mind. They are called “Rainbow Gloves” because you can make them any colour you like.

Albert’s Mysterious Quantum Gloves Experiment

W. M. Stuckey, Michael Silberstein, Timothy J. McDevitt

Abstract Chapter 0 is a parable where Alice and Bob discover the mystery of entanglement per the superposition of the imaginary properties of handedness and color for entangled “quantum gloves” in an experimental challenge given to them by Albert. Alice and Bob show how Albert’s quantum gloves experiment leads to the ‘average-only’ conservation of the entangled properties that characterizes the mystery of entanglement. They solve this mystery by using the relativity principle to justify the fact that they both measured the same value of Planck’s constant h, regardless of the relative spatial orientations of their measurement devices. They propose this solution because it is totally analogous to how Albert solved the mystery of length contraction, i.e., he used the relativity principle to justify the fact that everyone measures the same value of the speed of light c, regardless of the relative velocities of their measurement devices.

Quantum gloves: Quantum states that encode as much as possible chirality and nothing else

Daniel Collins, Lajos Diósi, N. Gisin +2 more

Communicating a physical quantity cannot be done using information only---i.e., using abstract cbits and∕or qubits. Rather one needs appropriate physical realizations of cbits and∕or qubits. We illustrate this by considering the problem of communicating chirality. We discuss in detail the physical resources this necessitates and introduce the natural concept of quantum gloves---i.e., rotationally invariant quantum states that encode as much as possible the concept of chirality and nothing more.
