Quantum-Safe Communication Research in Finland

Visa Vallivaara, Sami Lehtonen, Outi-Marja Latvala +5 more

In the forthcoming era of quantum computing, revisions will be forced on secure communication. Modern public-key communication systems are vulnerable to attacks by quantum computers. Fortunately, there already exists quantum-safe encryption algorithms and quantum-based solutions. The US National Institute of Standards and Technology has published the first draft of the post-quantum cryptography standard. In the EU quantum communication has been researched and developed in the EuroQCI initiative. In Finland, quantum safe communication has been studied and implemented in several research projects. We summarize the research projects and publications on quantum-safe communication in Finland and discuss future research activities.

Nonlinear System Overview

Leding Ren

First public draft (v0.1) of Nonlinear System Overview. This release represents an initial formulation of the framework. This work presents a structural framework for nonlinear systems, focusing on dissipation, irreversibility, and structure formation. Rather than treating randomness and irreversibility as limitations, this work interprets them as structural outcomes of constrained systems. This draft focuses on conceptual structure rather than empirical validation or application. Microscopic Observational Relativity (MOR): An Ontological Reconstruction of Relative Facts, Unmanifested Domains, and Slice Invariants

Liangjun Qiu

Microscopic Observational Relativity (MOR) is presented as an ontological interpretational framework for quantum mechanics, not as a replacement dynamics for standard quantum theory. The academic-v0.1 draft positions MOR near relational quantum mechanics, decoherence, quantum Darwinism, and quantum reference frame research, while proposing three discussion points: the ontological status of unmanifested relational structure, the distinction between observational slices and slice-invariant structure, and the possible emergence of macroscopic space from a microscopic relational domain. The weak version does not derive the Born rule, introduce new experimental deviations, or claim to solve the full measurement problem.
