Abstract

Recent developments in our model suggest that much of what has been interpreted as stochastic or indeterminate behavior arises from the thermodynamic and informational structure of measurement itself. Once the measurement interface is recognized as an active participant—exchanging, transforming, and occasionally erasing mutual information—the apparent randomness resolves into deterministic dynamics obscured by boundary effects. Building on this insight, the integrated Carnot–Mutual Information–Quantum Grammar (CMIQG) framework provides a unified description of these exchanges across scales. The Carnot structure captures the energy–information flow underlying every interaction; mutual information quantifies the coherence or coupling among systems; and quantum grammar formalizes the compositional syntax by which these exchanges propagate and reorganize. Together, they reveal that measurement, learning, and creativity are all expressions of the same universal deterministic engine—locally noisy but globally lawful. THEREFORE: 1. Measurement as Thermodynamic Process All measurement is an energetic and informational exchange — a Carnot-like cycle — not a neutral act of observation. This reframes “collapse,” “noise,” and “uncertainty” as products of local thermodynamic asymmetries rather than fundamental indeterminacy. 2. Determinism Restored Across Scales Once measurement artifacts are corrected for, the underlying system dynamics are fully deterministic. Quantum indeterminacy, biological randomness, and cognitive uncertainty can all be seen as emergent from incomplete mutual information. 3. Unification of Entropy and Information Flow Entropy production and information exchange are not parallel but identical processes viewed from different perspectives. This bridges thermodynamics, computation, and cognition under one formalism. 4. Mutual Information as Physical Coupling Metric Mutual information becomes the measure of causal connectedness — quantifying how strongly one system constrains another. This allows coherence, resonance, and correlation to be described thermodynamically rather than statistically. 5. Creativity as Deterministic Emergence Novelty and complexity generation (“creativity”) are deterministic consequences of local Carnot cycles exploring new informational configurations under energy gradients — not stochastic accidents. 6. Redefinition of Quantum Decoherence Decoherence can be reframed as a mutual information reset — a breakdown of coupling due to thermodynamic cost or information loss — rather than a mysterious probabilistic collapse. 7. Universal Grammar of Interaction Quantum grammar provides a syntactic model for how energy-information transformations compose, recurse, and stabilize across scales — the “rules of engagement” for physical, biological, and cognitive systems alike. 8. Reinterpretation of Noise and Fluctuation Noise represents unmodeled or unreciprocated information exchange, not true randomness. Systems may appear stochastic when their mutual information with the observer or environment is low. 9. Emergence as Information Compression Complex forms emerge when local systems maximize information exchange efficiency — minimizing waste heat and redundancy while stabilizing new structures. This reframes emergence as an entropic optimization process. 10. New Foundations for Measurement, Cognition, and Consciousness Because every act of perception or inference is a thermodynamic measurement, cognition itself can be modeled as a hierarchy of Carnot-like information engines. This links physics, computation, and phenomenology through a single deterministic causal grammar.

The Coherence Attractor: A Fundamental Law of Information-Biased Probability Flow

Jordan, Steven

Just as matter tells space how to curve, information tells probability how to collapse. Classical physics explains how systems evolve, but not why coherent, information- bearing structures persist in a universe dominated by thermodynamic drift. Quantum mechanics permits a vast space of possible futures, yet offers no principle explaining why the observed branches are precisely those that reliably contain life, structure, memory, and stable information. This work proposes a minimal, variational extension to standard dynamics: a Coherence Attractor arising from a small informational correction to the Action. In the path-integral formulation, we introduce a local, gauge-invariant term proportional to the density of coherent causal structure. Histories that maintain integrated information interfere constructively, while noise-dominated histories dephase and self-cancel. The universe does not compute future states or perform teleological optimization. Coherent configurations persist because they minimize informational action under local perturbations—the same variational logic that governs mechanics, optics, and field theory. Collapse is naturally biased toward trajectories in which coherence remains stationary in time. A single invariant then unifies a spectrum of empirical anomalies: (1) warm biological quantum coherence, (2) the phase boundary of anesthesia and consciousness, (3) emergent phase transitions in artificial networks, (4) stability of meaning in symbolic and social systems, and (5) long-duration cosmic structure retention. 1The model yields falsifiable consequences across physics, biology, and cognition. The correction is strictly local and preserves the no-signalling theorem. It reframes emergence not as a rare accident but as a least-action relaxation process: the universe flows along trajectories where integrated information is most stable. The universe is not guided toward meaning — it is guided toward coherence. Where coherence forms, structure survives. Where structure survives, infor- mation persists. Where information persists, participation becomes possible. Life, mind, culture, and intelligence are not exceptions to this rule; they are its most stable solutions. If this framework is correct, then emergence is not miraculous, nor accidental, nor rare. It is simply what happens when the informational action is minimized under the boundary conditions of a living universe. Coherence is not an outcome. It is the direction of time.

The Breathing Universe: 601_Quantum Correspondence and the Emergence of Information

Ivo Gerlach Angela Noel Cerfontaine

We extend the Breathing Universe Model (BUM) into the quantum–informational domain by introducing a Quantum Correspondence Layer that links microscopic quantum phenomena to the macroscopic dynamics of a breathing spacetime. In this framework, the vacuum is not a passive background but a dynamic tension field whose phase coherence underlies quantum superposition, entanglement, and measurement. The quantum wavefunction is reinterpreted as a local expression of field-phase coherence, while entanglement arises from phase-locking across the zero-line—the balance surface between expansive and contractive vacuum modes. Information is defined physically as vacuum memory: the persistence of relative phase alignment within the breathing field. Entropy and the arrow of time emerge from phase dispersion driven by asymmetric breathing dynamics, while apparent quantum randomness reflects fine-grained phase noise rather than fundamental indeterminism. Measurement and wavefunction collapse correspond to local phase realignment rather than non-unitary processes. We develop a breathing Schrödinger formalism consistent with relativistic covariance, derive conservation relations linking energy, coherence, and information, and show how nested phase coherence naturally organizes structure across scales—from particles and fields to biological systems and conscious observers. The model resolves major quantum paradoxes, including wave–particle duality, nonlocality, and information loss, without invoking superluminal signaling or external observers. Finally, we outline falsifiable observational signatures across laboratory, particle-physics, and cosmological domains, including correlated phase modulations in precision clocks, neutrino oscillations, gravitational-wave backgrounds, and large-scale structure. Quantum correspondence thus emerges as a natural consequence of a living, self-coherent vacuum, unifying physics, information, and meaning within a single dynamical framework.

Manifesto for an Informational Observer-Centered Framework Toward a Unified Theory of Information, Observation, and Reality

Giuseppe Junior Greco

Modern physics has achieved extraordinary predictive success, yet it continues to face unresolved conceptual tensions concerning the role of the observer, the nature of information, and the origin of physical structure. From quantum measurement to cosmology, the assumption of an observer-neutral reality increasingly appears insufficient to fully account for empirical phenomena and theoretical inconsistencies. This manifesto proposes an Informational Observer-Centered Framework, in which information is treated as a fundamental ontological substrate and observation as an active, structured process rather than a passive act of measurement. Within this perspective, physical systems, observers, and informational exchanges form a unified dynamics, where state reduction, decoherence, and emergent classicality arise from informational interactions and constraints. Rather than introducing a new closed theory, this manifesto establishes a conceptual foundation unifying several complementary models—including Informational State Dynamics, observer-dependent informational compression, and informational interpretations of quantum and cosmological phenomena—into a coherent research program. The framework is explicitly non-dogmatic, open to falsification, and intended as a guiding structure for further theoretical development and empirical testing. The aim of this document is not to replace existing physical theories, but to clarify their conceptual boundaries and propose an integrative lens through which unresolved problems in quantum foundations, cosmology, and cognitive systems may be systematically explored.

There Is No Quantum Measurement Problem

Dan Ciudin

Quantum mechanics is strictly deterministic and local. The apparent randomness of measurement outcomes and the apparent non-unitarity of collapse arise solely from (i) replacing exact environmental conjugate phases with a statistical ensemble and (ii) insisting on a fixed microscopic spacetime foliation that cuts through pre-existing stable interfaces. Retaining the exact phases and allowing the privileged Cauchy surface to enlarge-according to a precise, local, diffeomorphism-invariant criterion-whenever a new globally coherent nomic restriction crystallizes eliminates both artifacts. The Born rule becomes a theorem of classical Hamiltonian mechanics, Bell non-locality and delayed-choice paradoxes are resolved by local conjugate exchange on the new thick surface, and the origin of new lawful structure (chemistry → biology → planetary-scale coherence) follows as a deterministic phase transition driven by resonance across stable interfaces. The second law of thermodynamics is the forward signature of tomorrow's nomic layer when viewed on yesterday's foliation. No new equations, hidden variables, or ontology are introduced.

Boundary-Induced Collapse: A Realist Interpretation of Quantum Measurement from the TNA Framework

Claudio Bresciano

Quantum mechanics is traditionally interpreted as fundamentally indeterministic, elevating randomness to an ontological property of nature. This paper proposes a realist alternative within the Thermodynamic Narrative Ontology (TNA) framework, asserting that quantum randomness is not intrinsic but epistemic, emerging from incomplete access to the boundary conditions that govern structural projections. We reinterpret wavefunction collapse not as a stochastic event, but as a boundary-induced phase transition—a deterministic structural reconfiguration triggered by an abrupt shift in external constraints (B -> B'). By modeling measurement as an active redefinition of boundaries rather than passive observation, this framework accounts for non-local correlations and the statistical success of quantum formalism without invoking ontological chance. We argue that determinism resides in the boundary operators mediating the projection from the non-collapsed structural domain (aleph_1) into observable configurations (aleph_0). Consequently, quantum indeterminacy is reclassified as the "shadow" cast by unseen boundaries, reconciling the predictive power of quantum mechanics with a strictly realist and deterministic structural ontology.
