Experience in quantum physics: toward a theory of everything

Ding Jia

A theory of everything should not only tell us the laws for matter, gravity, and possibly boundary condition for the universe. In addition, it should specify the relation between theory and experience. Here I argue for a minimal prescription in extracting empirical predictions from path integrals by showing that alternative prescriptions are unjustifiable. In this minimal prescription, the relative probability for one experience is obtained by summing over all configurations compatible with that experience, without any further restriction associated with other experiences of the same or other experiential beings. An application to Wigner's friend settings shows that quantum theory admits objective predictions for subjective experiences. Still, quantum theory differs from classical theory in offering individualized as opposed to collective accounts of experiences. This consideration of experience in fundamental theories issues several challenges to popular quantum interpretations, and points to the outstanding need for a theory of experience in understanding physical theories of everything.

The Study on the Energy Superposition in the Interference Phenomenon

Zhaoping Yang

The wave optical theory and quantum theory both interpreted Young's Double Slit Interference Experiments.Although one of the two theories is easy to understand, and another theory is difficulty to understand, the results are considered completely. So the students accept wave theory easily, but exclude quantum theory. We observe the energy transfer and the energy superposition of Young's Double Slit Interference experiments by experiment. The experiment shows the interpretation of wave theory in the interference phenomenon is not accord with the practical Phenomenon, but it is accord with the interpretation of quantum theory. The experiments make the student find out the Limitations of wave theory intuitively and understand the related knowledge of quantum theory.

Conscious Experience and Quantum Consciousness Theory: Theories, Causation, and Identity

Mika Suojanen

Generally speaking, the existence of experience is accepted, but more challenging has been to say what experience is and how it occurs. Moreover, philosophers and scholars have been talking about mind and mental activity in connection with experience as opposed to physical processes.Yet, the fact is that quantum physics has replaced classical Newtonian physics in natural sciences, but the scholars in humanities and social sciences still operate under the obsolete Newtonian model. There is already a little research in which mind and conscious experience are explained in terms of quantum theory. This article argues that experience is impossible to be both a physical and non-physical phenomenon. When discussing causality and identity as transcendental, quantum theory may imply the quantum physical nature of conscious experience, where a person associates causality to conscious experience, and, thus, the result is that the double-aspect theory and the mind/brain identity theory would be refuted.
