Abstract

This conference brought together experts in different fields related to the foundations of quantum mechanics, ranging from mathematical physics to experimental physics, as well as the philosophy of science. The major topics discussed are: collapse models, Bohemian mechanics and their relativistic extensions, other alternative formulation of quantum mechanics, properties of entanglement, statistical physics and probability theory, new experimental results, as well as philosophical and epistemological issues.

Spin-statistics connection and commutation relations : experimental tests and theoretical implications, Anacapri, Capri Island, Italy 31 May-3 June 2000

Robert C. Hilborn, Guglielmo Maria Tino

The conference focused on the issues of the behavior of systems of identical particles in quantum mechanics. These questions are important in all areas of physics, in much of chemistry (via the Pauli Exclusion Principle) and mathematics, and in the philosophy of science. The conference brought together experimentalists, theorists, and philosophers to survey work done during the past ten years that challenges the traditional view of these issues. Several papers explore connections with rapidly developing fields such as fundamental symmetries, supersymmetry, quantum gravity, and quantum computation.

Mathematical results in quantum mechanics : proceedings of the QMath10 Conference, Moieciu, Romania, 10-15 September 2007

Ingrid Beltiţă, G. Nenciu, Radu Purice

The 10th Quantum Mathematics International Conference (Qmath10) gave an opportunity to bring together specialists interested in that part of mathematical physics which is in close connection with various aspects of quantum theory. It was also meant to introduce young scientists and new tendencies in the field. This collection of carefully selected papers aims to reflect recent techniques and results on Schroedinger operators with magnetic fields, random Schroedinger operators, condensed matter and open systems, pseudo-differential operators and semiclassical analysis, quantum field theory and relativistic quantum mechanics, quantum information, and much more. The book serves as a concise and well-documented tool for the more experimented scientists, as well as a research guide for postgraduate students.

CONFERENCE “TWO DAYS OF HISTORY AND EPISTEMOLOGY OF QUANTUM INTERPRETATIONS”

Alexander A. Pechenkin

On April 17-18, 2023, an international conference dedicated to the problems of history and philosophy of quantum physics was held in Paris, bringing together physicists, philosophers and historians of science from Europe, America and Australia. The conference discussed both the issues put on the agenda by quantum technologies and traditional philosophical issues of quantum mechanics. The conference was associated with the presentation of the book “The Oxford Handbook of Quantum Interpretations” (2022) and most of the speakers were authors of this collective work.

Mathematical results in quantum mechanics : proceedings of the QMath12 Conference, Berlin, Germany, 10-13 September 2013

Pavel Exner, Wolfgang König, Hagen Neidhardt

The book provides a comprehensive overview on the state of the art of the quantum part of mathematical physics. In particular, it contains contributions to the spectral theory of Schroedinger and random operators, quantum field theory, relativistic quantum mechanics and interacting many-body systems. It also presents an overview on the achievements in mathematical physics since the last conference QMath11 held at Hradec Kralove, Czechia in 2010.
