Three-Party Authenticated Quantum Key Distribution Protocol Based on Entangled Swapping

Hanwu Chen

In order to improve the security of quantum key distribution(QKD) protocol,a three-party authenticated QKD protocol based on entangled swapping is proposed. It is shown that this protocol not only has the function of authentication, but also resist security problem bring from the TC' dishonesty.

Identity Authentication in Quantum Key Distribution

Fen-Zhuo Guo

Assuming there is a prior shared string K between the two communicators,a novel idea is proposed in this paper, namely, the shared string K is lengthened into a longer K′ by an algorithm instead of being used to authenticate directly, and K′ will be used to authenticate after some proper treatments. Based on this, almost all Quantum Key Distribution(QKD) protocols can do authentication at the same time.As an example,a new Quantum Key Authentication(QKA) protocol based on non-orthogonal entangled states is presented, which can distribute key simultaneously.Investigation shows the protocol is simple and has higher security than the conventional QKD protocols.

Lightweight authenticated semi-quantum key distribution protocol without trojan horse attack

Chia‐Wei Tsai, Chun‐Wei Yang

Abstract A lightweight authenticated semi-quantum key distribution (LASQKD) protocol is proposed for secure communication. By pre-sharing a master key and adopting a one-way communication strategy, the proposed protocol allows a quantum user and a classical user to share secret keys without using an authenticated classical channel and any Trojan horse detection device. Security analyses show that the proposed LASQKD protocol is free from well-known attacks, and a simulation implementation proves the feasibility of the proposed protocol. Compared to existing authenticated semi-quantum key distribution protocols, the protocol proposed herein provides improved practicality, indicating its potential for use in modern quantum systems.
