Abstract

We investigate the correlation of mechanical systems of nondegenerate three-level laser with parametric oscillator in optomechanical cavity coupled to a two-mode squeezed vacuum reservoir. The quantum properties of the mechanical systems as a result of the correlation have been analyzed using the expectation values of mechanical mode variables at steady state and the eigenvalues of the reduced covariance matrix of the two sub-mechanical systems. The logarithmic negativity, steerability, and quantum discord criterion for entanglement, steerability, and quantum discord, respectively confirm that bipartite sub-mechanical systems are correlated. The results show that the bipartite sub-mechanical systems exhibit entanglement two-way steering and non-classical correlation or quantum discord. Moreover, the sub-mechanical system exhibits squeezing in the minus quadrature or momentum. The correlation properties of sub-mechanical systems are depend on the reservoir but the cavity laser has no effect on the quantum correlation of the sub-mechanical systems.

Two-mode light in optomechanical cavity with squeezed vacuum reservoir

Edris Salih, Misrak Getahun

We consider a two-mode light generated by nondegenerate three-level laser with parametric oscillator in optomechanical cavity coupled to two-mode squeezed vacuum reservoir. Effects of pump mode, optomechanical coupling strength and squeezed vacuum reservoir on squeezing and entanglement properties of the cavity modes have been analyzed using the expectation values of cavity mode variables at steady state. The results show that the two-mode light produced by the system under consideration exhibits quadrature squeezing and entanglement. The presence of parametric oscillator in the cavity and squeezed vacuum reservoir enhance the degree of squeezing, entanglement and mean photon number of the cavity mode lights. The optomechanical cavity has no effect on the mean photon number and entanglement of the cavity mode but increases the degree of quadrature squeezing.

Parametric Control of Two-Mode Squeezed Light via Engineered Reservoirs and Tunable Optomechanical Interfaces

Tarekegn Tarekegn-Ossie-Hundebo

Quantum optomechanical systems enable versatile control of non-classical light. We study two-mode squeezed-light generation in a driven optomechanical cavity with parametrically amplified optical modes coupled to mechanical resonator. Coherent driving reveals a rich control landscape where parametric nonlinearity, optomechanical coupling, and reservoir interactions jointly tailor quantum correlations-including two-mode squeezing, entanglement, steering, and discord. Remarkably, mechanical oscillators not only mediate optical entanglement but also act as a squeezing resource, enabling enhancement or suppression of quantum correlations via parameter tuning. We derive steady-state second-order moments and closed-form covariance matrix expressions, quantifying entanglement via logarithmic negativity, steering via Reid criterion, and discord via von Neumann entropy, providing a comprehensive framework for optimized generation of quantum correlations in hybrid quantum systems.

Continuous-variable entanglement in a nondegenerate three-level laser with a parametric oscillator

Eyob Alebachew

We consider a nondegenerate three-level cascade laser with a subthreshold nondegenerate parametric oscillator coupled to a vacuum reservoir. Applying the pertinent master equation, we analyze the squeezing and entanglement properties of the two-mode light produced by this quantum optical system inside and outside the cavity. We also determine the normalized second-order correlation function for the two-mode light as well as for individual mode. We find that the light generated by this system is in a two-mode squeezed state and the state of the system is strongly entangled at steady state. Moreover, the presence of the parametric oscillator leads to an increase in the degree of squeezing and entanglement. We also find that the intermode correlation decreases as the injected atomic coherence decreases in the system.

Quantum correlations in optomechanical system in the presence of optical feedback

Sitotaw Eshete

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of quantum correlations for the continuous-variable bipartite optomechanical system in the presence of homodyne mediated quantum feedback. The system is constructed using the Fabry–Perot cavity and a mechanical oscillator. In detail, we have studied the quantum entanglement via logarithmic negativity, quantum discord, and quantum steering between the optical and mechanical modes. The results show that the maximum entanglement between the optical and mechanical modes occurred out of the resonance frequency at the steady-state region due to the presence of the optical feedback. We also employ quantum steering to see the steerability between the modes. It is observed that the quantum entanglement increases when the effective detuning frequency increases, however, the quantum discord and steering decrease when the effective detuning frequency increases for a given quantum feedback strength with other parameters of the system are to be fixed. Moreover, the presence of quantum feedback has an enhancement effect on the quantum correlations.

Measure of general quantum correlations in optomechanics

Mohamed Amazioug, Mostafa Nassik, Nabil Habiballah

In this paper, we analyze nonclassical correlations between bipartite states in two optomechanical systems. The first system (Sec. 2) consists of two nanoresonators spatially separated by broadband squeezed light, where each cavity has a fixed mirror and a movable one. The second system (Sec. 3) is an atom-optomechanical system consisting of an atomic ensemble placed inside an optical nanoresonator with a vibrating mirror. For both optomechanical systems, we give the Hamiltonian and the explicit expression of covariance matrix leading to the quantum equations describing the dynamic evolution of the system. Then, the nonclassical correlations are quantified using the logarithmic negativity and Gaussian quantum discord. We propose also a scheme for examining the evolution of Gaussian quantum steering and its asymmetry in each system. We show that the entanglement of the two mechanical modes is very strongly related to the parameters characterizing the environment where the movable mirrors evolve, in particular the squeeze parameter, the optomechanical cooperativity and thermal bath temperature.

Quantum correlation in a nano-electro-optomechanical system enhanced by an optical parametric amplifier and Coulomb-type interaction

In this paper, we investigated the quantum correlation of nano-electro-optomechanical system enhanced by an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) and Coulomb-type interaction. In particular, we consider a hybrid system consisting of a cavity and two charged mechanical oscillators with an OPA, where the optical cavity mode is coupled with a charged mechanical oscillator via radiation pressure, and the two charged mechanical oscillators are coupled through a Coulomb interaction. We use logarithmic negativity to quantify quantum entanglement, and quantum discord to measure the quantumness correlation between the two mechanical oscillators. We characterize quantum steering using the steerability between the two mechanical oscillators. Our results show that the presence of OPA and strong Coulomb coupling enhances the quantum correlations between the two mechanical oscillators. In addition, Coulomb interactions are more prominent in quantum correlations. Besides, in the presence of OPA, the maximum amount of quantum entanglement, quantum steering, and quantum discord were achieved between the two mechanical oscillators is greater than in the absence of OPA. Moreover, a proper phase choice of the optical field driving the OPA enhances quantum correlations under suitable conditions. We obtain quantum entanglement confines quantum steering and quantum discord beyond entanglement. Furthermore, quantum entanglement, quantum steering, and quantum discord decrease rapidly with increasing temperature as a result of decoherence. In addition, quantum discord persists at higher temperature values, although the quantum entanglement between the systems also vanishes completely. Our proposed scheme enhances quantum correlation and proves robust against fluctuations in the bath environment. We believe that the present scheme of quantum correlation provides a promising platform for the realization of continuous variable quantum information processing.
