Abstract

Computer modelling of phase transitions in the four-component Potts model on a hexagonal lattice in pure and weakly diluted modes has been carried out. It is revealed that phase transitions of the second order are observed in the considered Potts models. The values of relative dispersions of magnetisation 𝑅𝑚, heat capacity and susceptibility are calculated. It is shown that for low-dimensional spin systems the values of the relativedispersions 𝑅𝑚, 𝑅𝑐, are different from zero at = and their decrease is observed at linear dimensions > 15.

Calculating the Relative Variances of Magnetization, Heat Capacity, and Susceptibility in a Two-Dimensional Weakly Diluted Four-Component Potts Model

G. Ya. Ataeva, Albert Babaevich Babaev, Akai Kurbanovich Murtazaev

The relative variances of the magnetization Rm, heat capacity Rc, and susceptibility Rχ are calculated by the Monte Carlo method in the spin lattice four-component weakly diluted Potts model on a square lattice at a spin density p = 0.80. It is shown that introducing a disorder in the form of nonmagnetic impurities into the 2D Potts model leads to nonzero values of Rm, Rc, and Rχ at the critical point. It has been found that these values decrease noticeably for systems with linear sizes L ≥ 120 interatomic distances.

Phase transitions in a two-dimensional weakly diluted 4-state Potts model on a hexagonal lattice

А. Б. Бабаев, Муртазаев А.К.

The Monte Carlo method is used to study phase transitions in a two-dimensional weakly diluted 4-state Potts model on a hexagonal lattice. Systems with linear dimensions L=21/336 at spin concentrations p=1.00, 0.90 are considered. The use of the fourth-order binder cumulants method and histogram data analysis showed that the introduction of nonmagnetic impurities has a stabilizing role in the implementation of the second-order phase transition in the Potts model under study on a hexagonal lattice. Calculation of relative dispersions of magnetization, susceptibility, and heat capacity in a two-dimensional weakly diluted Potts model based on computer simulation methods

The Monte Carlo method was used to calculate the relative dispersions of the magnetization Rm, susceptibility Rχ, and heat capacity RC for a weakly diluted impurity Potts model with the number of spin states q = 4. It is shown that the introduction of disorder in the form of nonmagnetic impurities into the two-dimensional Potts model with q = 4 on square lattice leads to nonzero values for Rm, Rχ, and RC at the critical point.

Simulation of the Three-Component Potts Model on a Hexagonal Lattice by the Monte Carlo Method

Albert Babaevich Babaev, Akai Kurbanovich Murtazaev

Abstract Computer simulation of the three-component Potts model on a hexagonal lattice was carried out using the Monte Carlo method. Systems with linear dimensions L × L = N, L = 20–320 in units of interatomic distances are considered. Based on the theory of finite-size scaling, the static critical exponents of heat capacity α, susceptibility γ, magnetization β, and correlation radius ν are calculated. The data we obtained confirm that in the considered Potts model on a hexagonal lattice, a second-order phase transition is observed with critical exponents corresponding to the universality class of the three-component Potts model.

The Monte Carlo method is used to study phase transitions in the two-dimensional Potts model with the number of states spin q=3 on square and hexagonal lattices. Considered systems with linear dimensions Lx L=N, L=21/102. The obtained numerical data indicate that in the considered In the Potts model, a second-order phase transition is observed in accordance with the analytical theory. The Binder cumulants method of the fourth order determines the values of the critical points of the Potts model on different lattices.
