Enhancing Healthcare Security with Quantum Blockchain: Electronic Medical Records Protection

Ranjitha Venkatesh, Smita Darandale

The integration of blockchain technology in electronic medical records (EMRs) offers enhanced data security and integrity. However, classical blockchain systems face potential threats from quantum computing and often involve significant computation and communication costs. This paper proposes a secure framework for safeguarding EMRs using quantum blockchain technology, leveraging quantum cryptographic principles to enhance security. The proposed framework employs Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms to resist quantum attacks, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data. By optimizing consensus mechanisms with quantum algorithms, with this research work, a 30% reduction in computation costs and a 25% decrease in communication overhead is achieved compared to traditional blockchain systems. These improvements are quantified through simulation results, demonstrating the framework’s efficiency and practicality. The proposed solution ensures higher security, integrity, and cost-effectiveness for managing EMRs in the face of emerging quantum threats.

Investigating How Quantum Cryptographic Techniques Can Enhance the Security of Blockchain-Based Artificial Intelligence (AI) Models

Afroja Akther, Tanzina Sultana, Ayesha Arobee +3 more

The integration of blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized secure, transparent, and decentralized applications. However, the security of blockchain-based AI models remains reliant on classical cryptographic techniques, such as RSA and ECC, which are increasingly vulnerable to emerging quantum computing threats. This study investigates how quantum cryptographic techniques can enhance the security and resilience of blockchain-based AI applications. Specifically, it explores the role of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) in securing key exchanges, post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) algorithms in fortifying data encryption, and quantum hashing techniques in protecting blockchain consensus mechanisms. The research evaluates the feasibility, implementation challenges, and performance implications of quantum-enhanced security frameworks for AI-driven blockchain networks. By addressing these concerns, this study establishes a foundation for developing quantum-secured blockchain infrastructures that safeguard AI transactions against future quantum threats while ensuring trust, transparency, and scalability in decentralized applications.

Post-Quantum Cryptographic Architecture for Secure Banking: Lattice-Based Implementation with Blockchain Integration

Chandra Sekhar Oleti

The exponential advancement of quantum computing poses unprecedented threats to conventional cryptographic systems employed in banking infrastructure. This paper presents a comprehensive quantum-enhanced cryptographic framework that integrates post-quantum algorithms with distributed ledger technologies to establish resilient financial security systems. Through systematic analysis of lattice-based cryptography, hash-based signatures, and multivariate cryptographic schemes, this research demonstrates significant improvements in computational security while maintaining operational efficiency. The proposed framework achieves 99.7% security resilience against quantum attacks while reducing transaction processing overhead by 23% compared to traditional RSA-based systems. Experimental validation across simulated banking environments reveals enhanced performance metrics in key generation, digital signatures, and secure communication protocols. The integration of quantum-resistant algorithms with blockchain-based consensus mechanisms provides a robust foundation for future-proof banking security architectures.
