Quantum Computing with Artificial Intelligence: A Paradigm Shift in Intelligent Systems

Essam Said Hanandeh, Shengxiang Zang, Jiajin Kang +6 more

Quantum artificial intelligence is an important step forward in the relationship with both quantum computing and AI. This paper investigates the use of quantum computing technique as an augmentation to AI capabilities efficiencies in data retrieval, model development, and problem resolution. A very general description is provided of self-consistence concepts of quantum computing, the main milestones in the field of quantum artificial intelligence, and practical analogs in a range of areas. Algorithm development, the development of hardware, and ethics are the obstacles that are mentioned, which then give some perspectives concerning the future within this new field.

MDE4QAI: Towards Model-Driven Engineering for Quantum Artificial Intelligence

Armin Moin, Moharram Challenger, Atta Badii +1 more

Over the past decade, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has provided enormous new possibilities and opportunities, but also new demands and requirements for software systems. In particular, Machine Learning (ML) has proven useful in almost every vertical application domain. In the decade ahead, an unprecedented paradigm shift from classical computing towards Quantum Computing (QC), with perhaps a quantum-classical hybrid model, is expected. We argue that the Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) paradigm can be an enabler and a facilitator, when it comes to the quantum and the quantum-classical hybrid applications. This includes not only automated code generation, but also automated model checking and verification, as well as model analysis in the early design phases, and model-to-model transformations both at the design-time and at the runtime. In this paper, the vision is focused on MDE for Quantum AI, particularly Quantum ML for the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) applications.

Quantum Computing in Artificial Intelligence: A Paradigm Shift

Sanket Hadap, Manthan Patil

Quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI) are two of the most transformative technologies of the 21st century. The convergence of these fields promises unprecedented advancements in computational capabilities, enabling solutions to complex problems that are currently intractable for classical computers. This paper explores the intersection of quantum computing and AI, examining the potential impacts, current research, challenges, and future directions. By leveraging quantum phenomena such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum parallelism, quantum computing can enhance AI algorithms, offering exponential speedups and new methodologies for machine learning, optimization, and data analysis.
