Abstract

Abstract It is proposed that how to generate and amplify multipartite entanglement simply by applying two microwave parametric amplifiers (MPAs) in a cascaded system without parametric downconversion interactions. Both the bipartite and tripartite entanglement of the three‐mode bosonic system are induced via the nonlinear gain of the two MPAs, which does not require strong coherent parametric coupling. Simultaneously, the intrinsic dissipation and detuning of the quadrature modes are corrected by modulating the phase difference of the MPAs, which directly changes the photon statistical distribution of the microwave cavity, so that both bipartite and tripartite entanglement of the dual‐cavity‐magnon system can be significantly enhanced. In particular, the phase‐modulated (PM) tripartite entanglement reaches the degree of 0.1 and breaks the limit of weak tripartite entanglement (on the degree of 0.01 and 0.001), which is a milestone breakthrough. More importantly, the PM multipartite entanglement is axisymmetric or centrosymmetric with respect to detuning and phase difference, which provides a bidirectional parameter selection for the experimental preparation of strong steady‐state entanglement. Furthermore, the PM multipartite entanglement is accompanied by improved robustness against the thermal bath temperature. The phase modulation mechanism can be potentially applied to construct stable multipartite entanglement networks and quantum information processing.

Macroscopic entanglement of three magnon modes in three cavities via optical parametric amplifier

Ying Zhou, Guo-Qiang Zhang

We propose a scheme to generate bipartite and tripartite entanglements of three magnon modes in a three-cavity system using a nonlinear optical parametric amplifier (OPA). The three magnon modes in three YIG spheres are respectively placed inside three cavities near the maximum magnetic fields of the cavities and coupled to cavity modes via linear magnetic dipole interaction. Additionally, linear coupling interaction exists between two cavities. Using experimentally feasible parameters, we demonstrate that OPA can prepare these three magnon modes in a steady-state entangled state, bipartite and tripartite entanglements generally increase with the nonlinear interaction strength of OPA. An alternative approach to enhance quantum entanglement involves multiplexed OPA inputs. By employing individual OPA for each cavity, we observe a significant improvement in entanglement generation. All the entanglements are robust against bath temperature.

Enhanced the Bi-(Tri-)partite entanglement between three magnons in a cavity magnomechanics system

Abdelkader Hidki, Ya-long Ren, Abderrahim Lakhfif +2 more

Abstract We propose a scheme to generate steady-state bipartite and tripartite entanglement in the cavity magnomechanical system, which consists of a microwave (MW) cavity field, three magnons, and a phonon mode. The three magnons are coupled to the MW cavity via the magnetic dipole interaction, and one of them is also coupled to the phonon mode through the magnetostrictive force. By utilizing the nonlinearity of the magnetostrictive force and the cavity-magnon interaction, the three magnons become mutually entangled, and the steady-state of the system displays a genuine tripartite entanglement. We found that there are optimum parameters, including the detunings and the cavity-magnon coupling, which lead to maximum entanglement. Moreover, the entanglement is robust against thermal effects.

Quantum Correlation Enhanced with Quantum Coherent Feedback Control in a Cavity‐magnon Hybrid System

Yue‐Han Lin, Ya‐Qin Lin, Zhi‐Ying Lin +2 more

Abstract A scheme is proposed to enhance quantum correlation, including entanglement and steering, for two magnon modes in a cavity‐magnon hybrid system through coherent quantum feedback. The hybrid system consists of a microwave cavity and two YIG spheres, which incorporates a nonlinear flux‐driven Josephson parametric amplifier in order for the generation of two photons within the cavity simultaneously. A quantum coherent feedback loop is used for the reduction of effective dissipation. By modulating feedback parameters, optimal bipartite and tripartite entanglement, as well as quantum steering are derived. Importantly, compared with the same setup without coherent feedback, the proposed scheme significantly improves quantum correlation. Furthermore, by optimizing the feedback reflectivity and the ratio of cavity‐magnon coupling strength, the enhancement of asymmetric steering can be controlled. Notably, incorporating the feedback loop effectively increase its robustness against thermal noise, thus the scheme offer better prospect for experimental development. This study paves the way for advancements in quantum information processing and quantum entanglement within cavity‐magnonics.

Enhancement of Entanglement via Josephson Parametric Amplifier in a Dual Cavity-Magnon System

Abdelkader Hidki, Abderrahim Lakhfif, Mostafa Nassik +2 more

In the two microwave (MW) cross-shaped cavity magnon system, we describe a method to produce multipartite entanglement and quantum steering. To achieve squeezed states of the magnons, a Josephson parametric amplifier (JPA) creates a squeezed vacuum field that drives the two cavities. We theoretically demonstrate that the cavity-cavity entanglement can be generated at the resonance point, however, increasing the cavity and magnon decay rates generate the cavity-magnon entanglement. By changing the squeezing parameter and increasing the decay rates, we can transfer the cavity-cavity entanglement to cavity-magnon entanglement. Furthermore, the cavity-cavity entanglement (survive up to 2.8K) not only found to be much stronger but also more robust as compared to cavity-magnon entanglement (survive up to 0.4K). More importantly, the genuine photon-magnon-photon tripartite entanglement could be achieved, which is robust against the thermal fluctuations and depends strongly on squeezing parameter. Furthermore, for current dual cavity-magnon system, two-way quantum steering is found when the optomagnonical couplings are equal. The current study offers a straightforward and practical method for achieving multipartite quantum correlations.

Generation of multipartite entanglement in a cavity-magnomechanical system

Zhen Yang, Biao Xiong, Cheng-song Zhao +1 more

Generating multipartite entanglement is always a popular research field in quantum information processing and quantum optics. In this paper, we propose a scheme to realize all bipartite entanglements and the genuine tripartite entanglement among photon, magnon, and phonon modes in a cavity-magnomechanical system. The center-of-mass motion of a yttrium iron garnet sphere couples to the magnon and constitutes photon-magnon-phonon tripartite interaction. By modulating the detuning between the cavity (magnon) mode and the driven field, we can obtain the optimal photon-phonon entanglement or magnon-phonon entanglement. The genuine tripartite entanglement can be prepared through a suitable detuning. We compare the different entanglement cases with and without effective direct cavity-magnon coupling. The results indicate that the photon-magnon entanglement can be enhanced by the effective cavity-magnon coupling strength, and all bipartite entanglements show greater robustness against the thermal phonon number. This investigation should be useful for phonon-involved multipartite quantum information processing and quantum precision measurement.

Entanglement enhancement in cavity magnomechanics by an optical parametric amplifier

Bakht Hussain, Shahid Qamar, Muhammad Irfan

We propose a method to enhance bipartite and tripartite entanglement in cavity magnomechanics using an optical parametric amplifier (OPA). We analyze this system and identified parametric regimes where different types of entanglement are enhanced. We show that a proper choice of phase of the parametric amplifier leads to the enhancement of the bipartite entanglements. Moreover, the tripartite entanglement is also significantly enhanced in the presence of the OPA. The OPA not only enhances the strength of entanglement but also increases the domain of entanglement over a wider space of detunings as compared to the system when no OPA is present. Similarly, the robustness of entanglement against temperature is also enhanced. Another important consequence of the OPA is the fact that it relaxes the requirement of strong magnon-phonon coupling to generate cavity-magnon entanglement which is necessary for the case when the OPA is not present. We believe that the presented scheme is a step forward to realize robust quantum entanglement using current technology.
