Abstract

Abstract In this paper, we propose two multi-party quantum private comparison protocols based on the properties of the d-dimensional GHZ state. Protocol 1 is designed to compare the equality of multiple participants’ secrets with the help of a semi-honest third party TP. The semi-honest TP will follow the protocol honestly, but he may attempt to learn additional information from the protocol execution. In this protocol, multiple participants encode their secret information into the corresponding particles in turn through unitary operations, thereby achieving the comparison of the equality of their multiple secrets in a single execution. This protocol has a wide range of applications. For example, by combining the basic model framework of this protocol with the Chinese Remainder Theorem, we propose Protocol 2. In this protocol, multiple participants compare the size relationships of their multiple secrets with the help of a semi-honest third party TP. Therefore, based on the same basic model framework, the two protocols proposed in this paper can be applied respectively to the comparison of the equality and the size relationships of multiple participants’ secrets. Importantly, the two protocols do not require pre-shared keys. Security analysis shows that the proposed protocols can resist various attacks, including entangle-measure attack, intercept-resend attack, third party attacks, and participant attacks.

Multi-party quantum private size comparison protocol with d-dimensional Bell states

Bing Wang, Li-Hua Gong, Sanqiu Liu

A feasible multi-party quantum private comparison (MQPC) protocol based on d -dimensional Bell states was proposed. In the protocol, all participants can independently encrypt their privacies and send them to a semi-honest quantum third party (TP) through authenticated channels. Then, the TP can determine the size relationship among all participants’ privacies without gaining access to the private information. We verified correctness and effectiveness of the proposed protocol with some examples. In addition, compared with other similar protocols, it is not necessary to perform unitary operation on particles and only single-particle measurement is required. Furthermore, the relatively high qubit efficiency is promised. The security analysis verifies that the proposed protocol can counteract external and internal attacks in theory.

Quantum Private Comparison Based on GHZ-type States

Xi Huang, Shibin Zhang, Wen Cheng

In this paper, an efficient quantum private comparison (QPC) protocol based on GHZ-type states is proposed. Two participants can compare the equality of two classical bits in each comparison, which could greatly reduce comparison times and increase efficiency. A semi-honest third-party (TP) is involved in assisting the participants to compare their secrets. TP may misbehave on her own, but she is not allowed to conspire with any participants. Besides, the proposed protocol needs Hadamard operation as well as single-particle measurements and Bell measurements, which are easy to implement with current technologies. Finally, the analysis shows the proposed protocol is correct and it can resist various attacks including outside attacks and dishonest participant attacks.

Multi-party quantum private comparison of size relationship with two third parties based on d-dimensional Bell states

Jiang-Yuan Lian, Xia Li, Tian-Yu Ye

Abstract In this paper, we put forward a multi-party quantum private comparison (MQPC) protocol with two semi-honest third parties (TPs) by adopting d -dimensional Bell states, which can judge the size relationship of private integers from more than two users within one execution of protocol. Each TP is permitted to misbehave on her own but cannot collude with others. In the proposed MQPC protocol, TPs are only required to apply d -dimensional single-particle measurements rather than d -dimensional Bell state measurements. There are no quantum entanglement swapping and unitary operations required in the proposed MQPC protocol. The security analysis validates that the proposed MQPC protocol can resist both the outside attacks and the participant attacks. The proposed MQPC protocol is adaptive for the case that n users want to compare the size relationship of their private integers under the control of two supervisors. Furthermore, the proposed MQPC protocol can be used in the strange user environment, because there are not any communication and pre-shared key between each pair of users.

Multi-party semi-quantum private comparison based on the maximally entangled GHZ-type states

Wanqing Wu, LingNa Guo, Ming-Zhe Xie

The goal of semi-quantum privacy comparison (SQPC) is to use a small amount of quantum capabilities to compare private information for equality. In recent years, research on semi-quantum privacy comparison protocol has made some achievements. However, most of SQPC protocols can merely compare the private information of two parties, and the research of multi-party SQPC protocols are still scarce. If the number of participants is more than two, the protocol needs to be executed multiple times. Therefore, we proposed a multi-party semi-quantum private comparison protocol based on the maximally entangled GHZ-type state, which has the capability to compare the equality of n parties by executing the protocol once. What is more, the transmission of participant’s encrypted information is not through the classical channel, which improves the security of the protocol. Finally, the security analysis shows that outsider attacks, dishonest participants attacks and semi-honest TP attacks are all invalid for this protocol.

Quantum Private Comparison Without Entanglement

YU Chao-hu

In this paper,a quantum private comparison protocol based on d dimensional single-particle states is proposed. In the protocol,a semi-honest third party transfers a sequence of n particles to one participant w ho encodes n secret keys by performing n local unitary operations. Then these particles are sent to the other participant w ho also by the same w ay encodes n secret keys and returns these particles back to the semi-honest party. Finally after the participants broadcast the results of encrypting their secrets w ith secret keys, the semi-honest third party can help the tw o participants compare the size relationships of their n pair corresponding secrets w ithout disclosing them to any other people. In addition, the security of the protocol is also discussed in detail. It is show n that the protocol is secure in theory. Moreover, since only single-particle states are used,as compared w ith other quantum private comparison protocols, the presented protocol is more feasible under the current technical conditions.

Multi-party private size comparison protocol under the semi-quantum condition

Bing Wang, Li-Hua Gong, Sanqiu Liu

Abstract Based on d -dimensional multiparticle maximal entangled states, a novel multi-party private comparison protocol under semi-quantum condition is proposed. With the help of a semi-honest quantum third party, N classical participants can determine the size relationship of their privacies while keeping them private in the devised protocol. Compared with some similar protocols, the presented protocol performs better in terms of security and qubit efficiency. In addition, the effectiveness and the correctness of our protocol are verified with some examples and proofs. By the decoy particles and the pre-shared keys, the presented protocol can defend against the internal and the external attacks.
