Abstract

Considering the difference in the ability of agents to prepare target state and the highly entangled nature of the Brown state, we propose a hierarchical remote preparation scheme to prepare an arbitrary two-qubit state via Brown state. There are four agents who are classified into two grades with respect to their abilities of restoring the target state. The upper-grade agent can accomplish the task with the help of any two remaining agents. While the agent at the lower grade requires the cooperation of all the other agents. Compared with previous hierarchical remote preparation schemes for an arbitrary two-qubit state, our scheme offers enhanced security by necessitating the collaboration of at least two other agents for any single agent to prepare the target state. It is worth mentioning that the recovery operation of an agent, whether he is of upper or lower grade, can be derived from the general expression, which clearly reveals the relationship with the measurement results. Moreover, we extend the proposed scheme to the case of an arbitrary multi-qubit state, thereby enhancing the capacity for quantum information transfer. Additionally, we evaluated the impact of amplitude-damping noise and phase-damping noise on the proposed scheme.

Hierarchical remote preparation of an arbitrary m-qudit state with multiple agents

Junli Jiang, Song-Ya Ma, Yan Xia

Based on Jin et al.’s hierarchical remote preparation scheme of an arbitrary [Formula: see text]-qudit state with three agents, we propose one scheme for multiple agents by utilizing the symmetry of cluster states. To save entanglement resource, we then put forward the other improved scheme. There exists a hierarchy among the agents in terms of their abilities which are quantified by nonconditioned fidelity. The upper-grade agent needs the assistance of all the remaining upper-grade agents and any one of the lower-grade agents to recover the target state, while the lower-grade agent requires all the other agents’ collaboration. It is important to emphasize that the recovery operation is derived by a general expression clearly revealing the relationship with the measurement results.

Mentor initialed multiparty hierarchical joint remote preparation of an arbitrary n-qudit state via generalized Bell states

Rui-Heng Jing, Yu-Bin Huang, An-An Bi +3 more

Abstract We propose a protocol to Mentor initiated hierarchical joint remote prepare the arbitrary n-qudit state with generalized Bell states. The agents share generalized Bell states with the Mentor. The Mentor performs five-qudit projective measurements on his entangled particles to initiate the quantum channel shared by the agents. All the senders share the information of the prepared state and make quantum measurements on their particles based on the state to be prepared. The agent in the upper grade needs only the assistance of one of the agents in the lower grade to reconstruct the original state, while the agents in the lower grade need the assistance of all the other agents to recover the original state. It is more convenient in application than others since the agents in the protocol only requires two-particle entanglement for Mentor initiated hierarchical joint remote preparation of an arbitrary n-qudit state.

Hierarchical remote preparation of arbitrary dimensional equatorial states

Qi Li, Song-Ya Ma, Jie Tang

Hierarchical remote preparation of equatorial states has practical applications but has not been studied before. We first propose a deterministic protocol for two-dimensional equatorial states via a four-qubit cluster state. The sender can asymmetrically transmit the secret state to any one of the three agents who are ranked in terms of their authorities. A set of useful measurement bases is elaborately constructed which plays a key role in the protocol. Then the protocol is generalized to high-dimensional system. Further, taking advantage of cluster state’s symmetry, we give a universal protocol with multiple agents. The high-grade agent needs the assistance of the remaining high-grade agents as well as one of the low-grade agents. While the low-grade agent needs the cooperation of all the other agents. The agents’ recovery operators are expressed by a general formula which clearly reveals the relationship with the measurement results. Additionally, the impact of two kinds of noise is analyzed.

Enhancing hierarchical remote preparation of an arbitrary n-qudit equatorial state by weak measurement and measurement reversal

Xia Yan, Song-Ya Ma, Si Jin

Abstract Based on the demand for safer and more efficient quantum network communication, we propose two deterministic protocols to achieve the remote preparation of an arbitrary n-qudit equatorial states among multiple agents by selecting appropriate entanglement resources. The level of the agents varies depending on their authorities to restore the secret state. The superior agent requires the cooperation of the residual superior agents and any one of the subordinate agents, while the subordinate agent needs the help of all the other agents. To be emphasized, the recovery operations are deduced by general formulas that distinctly elucidate their relevance with the measurement outcomes. Additionally, we discuss the impact of amplitude damping noise and utilize weak measurement and measurement reversal to suppress noise.

Deterministic hierarchical remote state preparation of a two-qubit entangled state using Brown et al. state in a noisy environment

Subhashish Barik, Aakash Warke, Bikash K. Behera +1 more

Quantum communication is one of the cutting-edge research areas today, where the scheme of Remote State Preparation (RSP) has caught significant attention of researchers. A number of different schemes of RSP have already been proposed so far. We propose here a hierarchical RSP protocol for sending a two-qubit entangled state using a seven-qubit highly entangled state derived from Brown et al. state. We have also studied here the effects of two well known noise models namely amplitude damping (AD) and phase damping (PD) that affect the quantum communication channel used for the protocol. An investigation on the variation of fidelity of the state with respect to the noise operator and the receiver is made. PD noise is found to affect the fidelity more than the AD noise and the higher power receiver, obtains the state with higher fidelity than the lower power receiver under the effect of noise. To the best of our knowledge, we believe that we have achieved the highest fidelity for the higher power receiver, 0.89 in the presence of maximum AD noise and 0.72 in the presence of maximum PD noise, compared to all the previously proposed RSP protocols in noisy environments. The study of noise is described in a very pedagogical manner for better understanding of the application of noise models to a communication protocol.

Hierarchical quantum communication of a single-qubit state with multiple users

Miao Liu, Nueraminaimu Maihemuti, Jiayin Peng +2 more

Abstract The purpose of this article is to study hierarchical sharing with multiple users. Firstly, a genuine five-qubit entangled state is used as a quantum channel to achieve deterministic hierarchical sharing of an arbitrary unknown single-qubit state. In this setup, two agents of Alice, Bob and Charlie are at a higher power level in terms of accessing information, while the other two agents, namely David and Ellen, are at a lower power level. This scheme is then extended to the case of a non-maximally entangled five-qubit quantum channel. Secondly, we propose a scheme for remote state preparation of a known single-qubit state through a genuine five-qubit entangled state. In this scheme, the three agents of the senders Alice and Bob are divided into two different levels: Charlie at the higher level and David and Ellen at the lower level, and this scheme is further generalized to the case of non-maximally entangled five-qubit channels. Finally, the aforementioned schemes are generalized to the case involving m + n users. Here, the m + n agents of each generalized scheme are classified into two layers: m agents are at the higher power level, and n agents are at the lower power level.
