Abstract

With the development of computer technology and multimedia technology, the information that people deal with in their daily work tends tobe more and more diverse [1]. Obviously, the main way for people to get information is through the eyes to see the image. Image information hasmany advantages such as vivid, intuition, information amount large and so on. Therefore, images are widely used in all aspects of people’s lifeand work. Especially in the global background of Internet all over the world and the gradual maturity of digital processing technology, theprocessing and transmission of image in the multimedia network have made great progress in both theoretical research and practical application[2,3]. In some special industries, a lot of information need to be limited to a certain scope including image information. For example, in themilitary, remote medical, astronomy and geography and many other fields, it requires to do a good job of image security. Thus, it has greatsignificance to make image encryption in the multimedia network and has become the focus of the studies, getting more and more extensiveattentions [4,5]. http://learnrnd.com/detail.php?id=Biowarfare_and_Germwarfare

A systematic study on design and development of optical communication image encryption techniques

Anshika Malsaria, Pankaj Vyas, Manjit Kaur

Abstract Optical encryption techniques in over the last 10 years have become more important in the area of optical information processing. Several applications, including online payments, medical or biometric image storage or transmission, private military applications, police identification techniques, online banking platforms, governmental services, identity (ID) cards, etc., are only a few examples. Require special and reliable security in the transmission and storage of images. Since digital picture information may be readily accessed by hackers via transmission over the Internet or other communication channels, the issue of photos with unlawful usage is becoming more and more severe. A more effective and secure means of communicating images may be offered via optical encryption. The encryption mechanism and keys are needed at the receiver side in order to decrypt the original optical data. Picture security becomes a highly important subject in communication science as a result of network growth and rising need for image transmission. There are several security issues with picture data, including forgery detection and illegal access. The most straightforward method of picture protection is to encrypt it as text. The traditional text encryption algorithms are inappropriate for picture encryption because of the high correlation present in image data. Over the last two decades, a number of optical approaches have been proposed for photo encryption, with the specific advantage of processing two-dimensional (2D) image data in parallel conduction mode. Therefore, we are doing an extensive investigation on optical image encryption in this work.

Classical and Quantum Cryptography for Image Encryption & Decryption

Harshad R. Pawar, Dinesh G. Harkut

Now a days, where all well aware about the internet and other means of sharing of multimedia information between two parties which happens in public environment, so it is important to maintain the security of these kind of personal data which is stored at computers, on cloud or in the personal storage. There are many techniques which are used to provide authenticity, confidentiality, secrecy, and integrity to the data one of them is the Cryptography. In this paper, we survey and compare the existing work and concepts of Classical (Modern) Cryptography (CC) and Quantum Cryptography(QC) used for image encryption and decryption. Each encryption and decryption techniques have their strengths and weakness. In this paper, we focus on the selecting the best cryptography technique to be used for image encryption and decryption so that researchers can get idea about the selection of efficient cryptography technique.

[This Proceedings paper was revised and published in the 2018 issue of the journal Issues in Informing Science and Information Technology, Volume 15] Medical images are very sensitive data that are being transferred here and there either for referral cases or consultation. Since these images are very sensitive, they have to be kept securely. Since the advent of the internet, transferring of these images is being done on the network in the form of data. Data security applications have drawn lots of interest over time. Unauthorized users daily derive ways to gain access to sensitive information while application programmers continue to devise new methods of keeping information safe. One of the best ways to which data could be kept secured is through the use of cryptography. Not just Cryptography, there are new applications of the principles of quantum mechanics to cryptography has led to a remarkable new dimension in secured communication. As a result of these new developments, it is now possible to construct cryptographic communication systems which keep transferred data safe and secure. Therefore, in this paper, a reliable and dependable way of securing medical image using Darpa Quantum Network that delivers end to end network security via high-speed Quantum Key Distribution, and testing the Network against sophisticated eavesdropping attacks is being proposed.

Overview of Technology Research in Quantum Communication System

Yixuan Chen

As the established communication networks no longer meet people’s need in the speed and the security in transferring information, quantum communication draws people’s attention. Taking advantage of the basic quantum properties, quantum communication guarantees the message being delivered promptly and safely. This paper first introduces a general background quantum communication. After that, we introduced the history of the development of quantum communication and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) as well as the general flow of quantum communication. Based on that, we evaluated a scheme of quantum communication network based on QKD, proposing different methods to improve the security and efficiency of the transmission of information. We encapsulated the history of the development of QKD. We conclude that the improvement of quantum communication depends on the algorithms. While various algorithms are proposed, we discussed a potentially possible way to combine the advantages of the algorithms. However, the actual effectiveness of our method still needs to be testified in future researches.

Medical Image Security Using Quantum Cryptography

Olufunso Dayo Alowolodu, Gabriel Kayode Adelaja, Boniface Kayode Alese +1 more

Aim/Purpose: Medical images are very sensitive data that can be transferred to medical laboratories, professionals, and specialist for referral cases or consultation. Strict security measures must be utilized to keep these data secured in computer networks when transferred to another party. On a daily basis, unauthorized users derive ways to gain access to sensitive patient medical information. Background: One of the best ways to which medical image could be kept secured is through the use of quantum cryptography Methodology : Applying the principles of quantum mechanics to cryptography has led to a remarkable new dimension in secured network communication infrastructure. This enables two legitimate users to produce a shared secret random bit string, which can be used as a key in cryptographic applications, such as message encryption and authentication. Contribution: This paper can make it possible for the healthcare and medical professions to construct cryptographic communication systems to keep patients’ transferred data safe and secured. Findings: This work has been able to provide a way for two authorized users who are in different locations to securely establish a secret network key and to detect if eavesdropping (a fraudulent or disruption in the network) has occurred Recommendations for Practitioners: This security mechanism is recommended for healthcare providers and practitioners to ensure the privacy of patients’ medical information. Recommendation for Researchers: This paper opens a new chapter in secured medical records Impact on Society Quantum key distribution promises network security based on the fundamental laws of quantum mechanics by solving the problems of secret-key cryptography . Future Research: The use of post-quantum cryptography can be further researched.
