Abstract

The QCECS Framework is ready to prevent new types of threats in the cloud environment given the increasing threat potential of quantum computing. RSA and ECC conventional encryption techniques cannot protect data security from quantum penetration and, therefore, the need for quantum security models. This incorporates the QKD for the impenetrable key exchange, post-quantum cryptography for data scrambling, blockchain for a more transparent way of managing keys, and the use of Artificial intelligence for real-time intrusion detection especially for traditional as well as quantum threats. At the same time, the proposed framework forms a symmetrical hybrid encryption approach with both quantum-resistant and classical interference to deliver the best outcomes while maintaining security integrity. The evidence derived from the study indicates that the framework protects the data through cryptographic mechanisms such as lattice-based cryptography and QKD and key management is secured through blockchain. It is crucial to mention, that the application of AI improves the detection of new threats in process and real time. This framework provides higher encryption strength, clarity, and quantum security compared to other methods. Even though various obstacles are resolved in the framework, several barriers remain in terms of hardware access, cloud adaptability, and internal enhancement. Yet, due to its novel approach to post-quantum cybersecurity, it has become a potential dominating solution for future cloud security.

Advancing Quantum Cryptography Algorithms for Secure Data Storage and Processing in Cloud Computing: Enhancing Robustness Against Emerging Cyber Threats

Devulapally Swetha, Shaik Khaja Mohiddin

The rise of cloud computing has transformed data storage and processing but introduced new vulnerabilities, especially with the impending threat of quantum computing. Traditional cryptographic methods, though currently effective, are at risk of being compromised by quantum attacks. This research aims to develop a quantum-resistant security framework for cloud environments, combining lattice-based cryptography with Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocols, particularly the E91 protocol, for secure key management. The framework also incorporates quantum authentication protocols to enhance user identity verification, protecting against unauthorized access and tampering. The proposed solution balances robust security with practical implementation, ensuring scalability and efficiency in real-world cloud environments. Performance evaluations indicate an encryption time of approximately 30 milliseconds, outperforming existing methods such as RSA and DES. This research contributes to the development of future-proof cryptographic standards, addressing both current security challenges and emerging quantum computing threats. By leveraging quantum mechanics, the framework strengthens cloud-based data protection, providing a resilient solution against evolving cyber risks. The results hold significant promise for advancing cloud security, laying the groundwork for next-generation encryption techniques that can withstand the threats posed by quantum computing.

Leveraging Quantum Cryptography And Blockchain For Strengthened Data Security In Cloud Infrastructures

Srinivasan J., Sindhu Achuthankutty, R. Rajkumar +3 more

The rapid adoption of cloud infrastructures has intensified concerns regarding data confidentiality, integrity, and trust management, particularly in the presence of emerging quantum computing threats. Classical cryptographic mechanisms, which underpin most existing cloud security architectures, are increasingly vulnerable to quantum attacks capable of compromising public-key encryption and key exchange protocols. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a hybrid security framework that integrates Quantum Cryptography with Blockchain technology to achieve robust, future-resistant data protection in cloud environments. The proposed framework leverages Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) to enable provably secure key generation and exchange based on quantum mechanical principles, ensuring resistance against eavesdropping and computational attacks. Blockchain technology is employed to provide decentralized trust, immutable audit trails, and transparent access control across distributed cloud services. Smart contracts enforce fine-grained security policies, automate authentication, and ensure tamper-proof data access logging. The synergy between quantum cryptography and blockchain establishes a secure key lifecycle, resilient identity management, and verifiable data integrity within multi-tenant cloud infrastructures. Comprehensive security analysis demonstrates that the proposed approach effectively mitigates quantum-enabled attacks, insider threats, and single-point-of-failure vulnerabilities commonly found in traditional cloud security models. Experimental evaluation and comparative analysis highlight improvements in data integrity assurance, key management robustness, and trust transparency, with acceptable computational and communication overhead. The results indicate that integrating quantum cryptography with blockchain presents a scalable and future-proof security paradigm for next-generation cloud infrastructures.

Quantum Cryptographic Protocols for Enhanced Cloud Security

Vinit Khetani

Quantum cryptographic protocols offer transformative potential for enhancing cloud security by leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics. These protocols ensure unbreakable encryption through quantum key distribution (QKD), where security is derived from the fundamental properties of quantum particles. Unlike classical encryption, which relies on computational complexity, quantum cryptography guarantees data protection by preventing unauthorized access, as any attempt to intercept quantum keys alters their state and can be immediately detected. This paper explores the application of quantum cryptographic protocols in securing cloud environments, addressing vulnerabilities posed by classical encryption techniques in the face of growing computational power. Key protocols, such as BB84 and E91, are analyzed for their potential in securing cloud infrastructure, offering enhanced confidentiality, integrity, and authentication of data. Additionally, this study highlights the integration of quantum cryptography with modern cloud architectures, overcoming challenges such as scalability and implementation cost. By employing quantum-resistant strategies, these protocols provide a robust defense against emerging threats from quantum computing, making them an essential solution for future-proof cloud security. The findings demonstrate that quantum cryptography, combined with advanced cloud security practices, can ensure secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructures capable of protecting sensitive data in an increasingly interconnected digital landscape.
