Abstract

We investigate steady-state entanglement and steering in a three-dimensional cavity magnomechanics system. From the system's equations of motion, we derive the linearized Lyapunov equation for steady states, introduce logarithmic negativity to quantify entanglement, and apply a quantization method for Gaussian states with continuous variables to measure steering. Numerical simulations reveal that steady-state entanglement and steering can be established between various system components---such as the two cavity modes, the cavity mode and magnon mode, and the cavity mode and phonon mode---by selecting experimentally feasible detunings, dissipation rates, and coupling rates. We develop a three-dimensional cross-cavity model to study bipartite and tripartite entanglement and explore parameter adjustments to achieve both one-way and two-way steering. Additionally, we confirm the system's strong robustness to temperature variations. This work provides a platform for studying entanglement and steering beyond squeezed optical drives and has potential applications in quantum information processing and quantum sensing.

Quantum entanglement and one-way steering in a cavity magnomechanical system via a squeezed vacuum field

Wei Zhang, Tie Wang, Xue Yan Han +2 more

We propose a simple scheme to generate quantum entanglement and one-way steering between distinct mode pairs in a generic cavity magnomechanical system, which is composed of a microwave cavity and a yttrium iron garnet sphere supporting magnon and phonon modes. The microwave cavity is pumped by a weak squeezed vacuum field, which plays an important role for establishing quantum entanglement and steering. It is found that when the magnon mode is driven by the red-detuned laser, the maximum entanglement between cavity mode and phonon mode and the maximum phonon-to-photon one-way steering can be effectively generated via adjusting the ratio of two coupling rates. While under the much weaker magnomechanical coupling, the quantum entanglement and one-way steering between cavity mode and magnon mode can be achieved, where the steering direction is determined merely by the relative dissipation strength of the cavity to the magnon mode. More interestingly, we reveal that the robustness to the temperature for entanglement and steering between any mode pairs can be evidently enhanced by selecting the squeezing parameter appropriately.

Enhancing One-Way Steering and Non-Classical Correlations in Magnomechanics via Coherent Feedback

Hamza Harraf, Noura Chabar, Mohamed Amazioug +1 more

In this work, we propose a theoretical scheme to explore the enhancement of quantum correlation hierarchies in a cavity magnonmechanical system via the coherent feedback tool. We use Gaussian geometric discord to quantify quantum correlations between the two magnon modes, including those beyond entanglement, in the steady state. Logarithmic negativity and Gaussian quantum steering are employed to characterize entanglement and steerability, respectively. Our results show that adjusting the beam splitter's reflective parameter can significantly enhance quantum correlations and increase their resilience to thermal noise. Moreover, we demonstrate that coherent feedback can achieve enhanced genuine tripartite entanglement among the photon, magnon \(M_1\), and phonon. These findings present promising strategies for enhancing entanglement in magnon-based systems and advancing quantum information technologies. We conclude by validating the system and demonstrating its ability to detect entanglement.

Multipartite EPR-steering and entanglement in a cavity magnomechanical system through coherent feedback

Hamza Harraf, Noura Chabar, Mohamed Amazioug +2 more

Multipartite Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering plays a crucial role in realizing secure quantum communication. In this paper, we theoretically investigate bipartite and tripartite quantum correlations, including entanglement and Gaussian quantum steering, in a cavity magnomechanical system incorporating a coherent feedback loop. We quantify and compare entanglement and Gaussian steering for four coupled bipartite Gaussian modes. Our results show that tuning the beam splitter's reflectivity parameter significantly enhances entanglement in both bipartite and tripartite states. Furthermore, we verify Coffman-Kundu-Wootters (CKW)-type monogamy inequalities for Gaussian steering among three tripartite modes for specific reflectivity values, and reveal the presence of one-way steering. These findings validate our system and demonstrate its potential for robust detection of multipartite entanglement and steering.

Enhanced the Bi-(Tri-)partite entanglement between three magnons in a cavity magnomechanics system

Abdelkader Hidki, Ya-long Ren, Abderrahim Lakhfif +2 more

Abstract We propose a scheme to generate steady-state bipartite and tripartite entanglement in the cavity magnomechanical system, which consists of a microwave (MW) cavity field, three magnons, and a phonon mode. The three magnons are coupled to the MW cavity via the magnetic dipole interaction, and one of them is also coupled to the phonon mode through the magnetostrictive force. By utilizing the nonlinearity of the magnetostrictive force and the cavity-magnon interaction, the three magnons become mutually entangled, and the steady-state of the system displays a genuine tripartite entanglement. We found that there are optimum parameters, including the detunings and the cavity-magnon coupling, which lead to maximum entanglement. Moreover, the entanglement is robust against thermal effects.

Enhanced entanglement and quantum steering of directly and indirectly coupled modes in a magnomechanical system

Amjad Sohail, Rizwan Ahmed, Rida Zainab +1 more

Abstract This study is based on a theoretical proposal for quantum steering, non-locality, and entanglement in a two microwave cavities based magnomechanical system. The system is composed of two microwave (MW) cavity mode photons, phonons associated with mechanical mode and a magnon mode. We have employed a standard damping approach and found that steerability and entanglements among different bipartite subsystems strongly depend upon the detuning of indirectly coupled cavity mode and effective magnon detuning. One/two-way quantum Steering and non-local correlation have been found in the system for different choices of bipartitions. In addition, entanglement generated in the system enhances and has shown to be more robust against the thermal effects, as compared with the earlier studies. Interestingly, we have shown that the magnomechanical entanglements among different bipartitions have a complementary relation due to the transfer entanglement. This shows an additional insight into the system dynamics which shows that there exists a ‘tie-up’ relationship among these bipartitions. The present magnomechanical system will open new perspectives in quantum tasks that demand the entanglement of microwave cavity fields.

Perfect transfer of enhanced entanglement and asymmetric steering in a cavity-magnomechanical system

Yao-Tong Chen, Lei Du, Yan Zhang +1 more

We propose a hybrid cavity magnomechanical system to realize and transfer the bipartite entanglements and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steerings between magnons, photons, and phonons in the regime of stability of the system. As a parity-time-symmetric-like structure exhibiting the natural magnetostrictive magnon-phonon interaction, our passive-active cavity system can be explored to enhance the robust distant quantum entanglement and generate the relatively obvious asymmetric (even directional) EPR steering that is useful for the task with the highly asymmetric trusts of the bidirectional local measurements between two entangled states. It is of great interest that, based on such a tunable magnomechanical system, the perfect transfer between near and distant entanglements and steerings of different mode pairs is realized by adjusting the coupling parameters; in particular, we propose a perfect transfer scheme of steerings. These transferring processes suggest indeed an alternative method for quantum information storage and manipulation. In addition, the entanglements and steerings can also be exchanged between different mode pairs by adjusting the detunings between different modes. This work may provide a potential platform for distant and asymmetric quantum modulation.
