Abstract

Quantum computing is a rapidly growing field. Quantum algorithms play a significant role and have applications in cryptography, machine learning, optimization, and computational issues [1][2]. They quantum features like entanglement and superposition that help carryout tasks that would be difficult for a classical computer. More Interest has been developed in Quantum algorithms due to their ability to solve specific computational problems quicker than that in classical algorithms [3]. These algorithms use fundamentals of quantum physics to carryout calculations quickly and effectively than traditional algorithms. Here in-depth analysis of quantum algorithms and classical algorithms is done by looking at the time and space complexity of quantum and classical algorithms including their capacity to tackle specific types of issues.First, we conduct a general comparison of Classical and Quantum Algorithm along with Background and motivation. We also discuss Simon's algorithm first and then Grover's algorithm in depth and their comparison with few other algorithms in a table format [5][6][7][8]. We also cover some recent advancements, Quantum supremacy, Post-Quantum Cryptography, 8 Quantum Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Quantum-Classical Algorithms and few other important parameters. We also discuss the plausible impact of quantum algorithms on cybersecurity and cryptography [13][9]. Overall, this comparative study shows the uses and challenges involved in implementing quantum algorithms while offering an overview of quantum algorithms. We conclude by the fundamental ideas of quantum algorithms. Adding to this we also discuss the challenges and limitations of using quantum algorithms in practically. At the end, we provide a summary of the primary findings from this comparative study of Quantum and classical algorithms.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF QUANTUM AND CLASSICAL ALGORITHMS IN MODERN COMPUTING

Y.U. Serdaliyev, А.С. Баймаханова

This article is an overview and comparative analysis of quantum and classical algorithms in the field of computing. In the modern world, there is a period of development of high technologies. In this age, it is very effective to realize the goals that humanity has set for itself, not only using the human brain, but also using the thinking properties of the machine. The areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning are developing very rapidly, which allows you to solve tasks that were previously considered exclusively human prerogative. For the classical approach, a quick sort is used to preorder the list, and then the target element is searched. The quantum approach uses Grover's algorithm, which takes advantage of quantum computing to quickly find an item in an unordered list. The comparison results include the execution time of each algorithm and the elements found. This work demonstrates the potential of quantum algorithms in solving search problems and provides a practical example of comparing classical and quantum methods. Machine learning is the main way to optimize and automate processes in production and other industries. quantum computing performed on quantum computers and its own state «quantum machine learning» is the technology of the future. However, despite all the advantages, these technologies are currently poorly studied. Based on a literature review, the formulation of hypotheses, the use of programming methods and the conduct of experiments, the study provides new insights into the application of different types of algorithms to different problems. The results highlight the unique advantages of quantum algorithms in highly specialized problems, the limitations in their use due to technological calls, and suggest a hybrid approach as the future of computing.

A Comparative Review of Quantum Computing: From Foundational Algorithms to Strategic Global Dominance and Real World Applications.

Palla Sravani, K. Satyanarayana

A paradigm shift in computation is being brought about by quantum computing, which uses the concepts of quantum mechanics to tackle problems that even the most powerful conventional supercomputers cannot solve. This review provides an in-depth overview of the field, covering everything from basic concepts to the cutting edge. The three fundamental building blocks of quantum processing—the qubit, superposition, and entanglement—are first described. These ideas enable quantum computers to concurrently explore large computational domains. After that, the paper examines the various physical implementations, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of the top hardware platforms, such as neutral atoms, trapped ions, photonic systems, and superconducting circuits, in terms of coherence and scalability. Shor's method for integer factorization and Grover's algorithm for unstructured search are two examples of groundbreaking quantum algorithms that are highlighted for their potential to achieve exponential and quadratic speedups over their classical counterparts. We also examine how programming languages that bridge the gap between abstract algorithms and physical hardware are being developed, as well as the new quantum software stack. The paper also explores how quantum computing can revolutionize a number of fields, such as machine learning, materials research, medication development, and cryptography. subsequently, we discuss two of the biggest challenges impeding the development of large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computers: the requirement for robust quantum error correction and decoherence. In the end, a view of the current period of Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) and the path towards quantum advantage is presented. Researchers, students, and professionals looking for a comprehensive grasp of this quickly developing and revolutionary topic are expected to find this review to be an invaluable asset.

Arimondo Scrivano

Quantum computing represents a paradigm shift in computational ability, offering exponentially faster processing for specific problems than traditional classical algorithms. This review provides a comprehensive assessment of the development and implications of algorithms specifically designed for quantum computing systems. Key quantum algorithms such as Shor’s algorithm for integer factorization and Grover’s algorithm for unstructured search have demonstrated potential quantum supremacy by outperforming their classical counterparts. We examine the theoretical underpinnings and practical challenges of implementing these algorithms, alongside exploring novel algorithmic frameworks emerging from quantum machine learning and error correction disciplines. Furthermore, the review discusses the profound implications of quantum algorithm development in cryptography, optimization, and simulation, which are poised to transform industries reliant on these computational tasks. Our analysis concludes with a perspective on future research directions and the barriers that must be overcome to realize the full potential of quantum algorithms in practical applications.

The Use of Algorithms and Quantum Computing to Optimization Issues

Prof. Sofia Lindgren

A new paradigm in computing, quantum computing has the ability to solve computational problems that were previously considered impossible for classical computers. Optimization problems are fundamental to many disciplines, including operations research, finance, machine learning, and logistics; this article investigates how quantum computing methods can be used to solve these problems. In order to conduct calculations in a way that is radically distinct from classical computers, quantum computers utilize quantum mechanical phenomena like entanglement and superposition. Because of this, quantum algorithms might potentially achieve exponential speedups over classical algorithms for specific optimization tasks by simultaneously exploring large solution spaces. A number of well-known quantum algorithms have been reviewed in this abstract, including Grover's algorithm and quantum annealing methods created by D-Wave Systems, among others. These algorithms aim to solve a wide variety of optimization problems, such as scheduling issues, optimization of portfolios, and combinatorial optimization. Their computational complexity, theoretical foundations, and real-world applications on existing and future quantum hardware are covered in detail.
