An Ontological Framework for Quantum Behavior

Yinpei He

This work presents an ontological framework for quantum behavior, offering a unified reinterpretation of quantum phenomena at the foundational level. Within this framework, a set of self-consistent theoretical constraints is established, completing the consistency-condition conclusion that was missing in the previous derivation. All conclusions are stated in a manner open to independent testing. The framework provides a unified narrative account of a broad range of quantum phenomena and yields a number of predictions open to independent verification. Notably, several quantum phenomena that have long remained at the level of empirical assumptions receive a unified description of their origin within this framework. No claim is made to resolve all foundational problems of quantum theory; instead, the domain of validity of every conclusion is clearly delineated, awaiting independent scrutiny from data and experiment.

Some mathematical issues regarding a new approach towards quantum foundations

Inge Svein Helland

In this article, the weakest possible theorem providing a foundation for the Hilbert space formalism of quantum theory is stated. The necessary postulates are formulated, and the mathematics is spelt out in detail. It is argued that, from this approach, a general epistemic interpretation of quantum mechanics is natural. Some applications to the Bell experiment and to decision theory are briefly discussed. The article represents the conclusion of a series of articles and books on quantum foundations.
