Abstract

The main focus of this paper is to analyze the algebraic structure of constacyclic codes over the ring R=Fp+w1Fp+w2Fp+w22Fp+w1w2Fp+w1w22Fp, where w12−α2=0, w1w2=w2w1, w23−β2w2=0, and α,β∈Fp∖{0}, for a prime p. We begin by introducing a Gray map defined over R, which is associated with an invertible matrix. We demonstrate its advantages over the canonical Gray map through some examples. Finally, we create new and improved quantum codes from constacyclic codes over R using Calderbank–Shore–Steane (CSS) construction.

Constacyclic codes over the ring Fp + vFp and their applications of constructing new non-binary quantum codes

Jian Hui Gao, Yongkang Wang

In this paper, we study some results on constacyclic codes over Fp + vFp, where p is an odd prime and v2 = v. Under some special Gray map, the image of the (α + βv)-constacyclic code over Fp + vFp is a (–α(α + β))-constacyclic code over Fp, where α and β are non-zero elements of Fp satisfying β = –2α. As an application, some new non-binary quantum codes are obtained.

Quantum codes from skew constacyclic codes over Fp m + vFp m + v2Fp m

Ram Krishna Verma, Om Prakash, Ashutosh Singh

For an odd prime p and m ≥ 1, let R = Fpm[v]/{v3} = v}. Here our aim is to construct new non-binary quantum codes from skew constacyclic codes over this non-chain ring ℛ. In order to achieve our goal, first we study the structural properties of skew constacyclic codes and their Euclidean duals over the ring ℛ. Then we determine a necessary and sufficient condition for these codes to contain their Euclidean duals. Finally, by applying CSS construction on these dual containing skew constacyclic codes and using Gray map, we obtain several new quantum codes.

Quantum codes from (1+βu)-constacyclic codes over Fp m+uFp m

Soumak Biswas, Maheshanand Bhaintwal

In this paper quantum codes over Fpm are constructed from self-orthogonal (1 + βu)-constacyclic codes of length N = npsover R = Fpm + uFpm , u2= 0, where p is an odd prime, (n, p) = 1, and β is a non-zero element of Fpm. To obtain such quantum codes, the algebraic structure of (1 + βu)-constacyclic codes of length N over R is studied. The structure of their duals is also determined. From the algebraic structures of the (1+βu)-constacyclic codes and their duals over R, self-orthogonal codes over Fpm are obtained as Gray images of self-orthogonal codes over R. Then applying the CalderbankShor-Steane (CSS) construction to these self-orthogonal codes over Fpm, the parameters of the corresponding quantum codes are determined. An example is given to illustrate the results.

In this paper, we study the structural properties of ( α + u 1 β + u 2 γ + u 1 u 2 δ ) -constacyclic codes over R = F q [ u 1 , u 2 ] / ⟨ u 1 2 − u 1 , u 2 2 − u 2 , u 1 u 2 − u 2 u 1 ⟩ where q = p m for odd prime p and m ≥ 1 . We derive the generators of constacyclic and dual constacyclic codes. We have shown that Gray image of a constacyclic code of length n is a quasi constacyclic code of length 4 n . Also we have classified all possible self dual linear codes over this ring R . We have given the applications by computing non-binary quantum codes over this ring R .

Quantum codes from constacyclic codes over $S_{k}$

Bo Hyun Kong, Xiying Zheng

Abstract Let $S_{k}={\mathbb{F}}_{q}[u_{1},u_{2},\ldots ,u_{k}]/\langle u^{3}_{i}=u_{i},u_{i}u_{j}=u_{j}u_{i}=0 \rangle $ S k = F q [ u 1 , u 2 , … , u k ] / 〈 u i 3 = u i , u i u j = u j u i = 0 〉 , where $1\leq i,j\leq k$ 1 ≤ i , j ≤ k , $q=p^{m}$ q = p m , p is an odd prime. First, we define two new Gray maps $\phi _{k}$ ϕ k and $\varphi _{k}$ φ k , and study their Gray images. Further, we determine the structure of constacyclic codes and their dual codes, and give a necessary and sufficient conditions of constacyclic codes to contain their duals. Finally, we obtain some new quantum codes over $\mathbb{F}_{q}$ F q by using CSS construction, and compare the constructed codes better than the existing literature.
