The Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Quantum Technology

Muhammad Usman, Abubakar Umar Hamza, Sani Abdullahi +3 more

This study is based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Technology which represent two transformative frontiers in modern science. Their integration promises exponential computational enhancements, novel algorithmic models, and robust problem-solving frameworks for intractable problems. This paper explores the synergy between AI and quantum technologies, particularly focusing on how AI algorithms optimize quantum processes and vice versa. We present implementation methodologies, practical results from simulations, and discuss the mutual reinforcement of these technologies for future applications. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Quantum Technology (QT) promises to revolutionize computational paradigms. This paper explores how AI models can enhance quantum error correction, optimize quantum circuit design, and facilitate quantum system control. We detail the methodology used to implement AI algorithms in quantum simulations and report results that highlight performance improvements in system efficiency, accuracy, and learning rates. The discussion covers implications for quantum computing, communications, and AI-driven quantum research.

AI-enhanced quantum optical devices

Than Singh Saini

Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies are attractive and growing universal and extensive in a broad range of perspectives from commercial applications to cutting-edge scientific research. In AI, one can simulate human intelligence processes via machines, especially computer systems. In a true sense, AI is a part of our modern life, as it is quite tough to identify an area where accomplishments in the field of AI would not be used. AI technologies enable machines to learn useful processes, including object recognition, speech recognition, natural language processing, machine vision, and digital personal assistants. In this context, quantum optics and quantum-based technologies have been found in prominent positions since they enable a speed up in learning processes [ 1–4 ]. It has been perceived that the demand for the algorithms that enable machines to learn quickly and efficiently have increased day-by-day as the field of AI has advanced. Quantum machine learning is a fast rising field connecting AI and quantum technology.

Quantum technology and artificial intelligence/ machine learning as strategic enablers to strengthen geopolitical position – United Kingdom perspective

Agnieszka Gryz

Superpowers such as the US, China and the United Kingdom have recognised quantum and Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (AI/ML) based technologies as strategically important from geopolitical, social and economic perspectives. Those technologies have the potential to shift geopolitical points of gravity and either strengthen or weaken them. This article reviews the United Kingdom's strategic approach to quantum and AI/ML technologies and how those technologies could affect the UK’s geopolitical position.
