Abstract

Abstract Through the generalized fractional derivative, it is studied how the decay term and the fractional parameter affect the quantum system, specifically the interaction between the SU(1,1) algebraic system and a three‐level atom. By transforming the differential equations into fractional differential equations, general fractional solutions are obtained. The influence of decay and fractional parameter on phenomena such as revival and collapse, entropy squeezing, purity, and concurrence are investigated. The results demonstrate how both decay and fractal parameter affect periods of collapse and revival. It is worth noting that the decay parameter shortens the collapse periods, while an increase in the fractional parameter leads to longer collapse periods. The decay parameter also reduces the degree of entanglement between the different components of the quantum system, while increasing the fractional parameter enhances the entanglement within the quantum system. Hence, it can be concluded that the fractional parameter plays a crucial role in the observed effects on the studied properties.

A nonlinear interaction between SU(1,1) quantum system and a three-level atom in different configurations with damping term

A.‐S. F. Obada, M. M. A. Ahmed, Mohamed Abu-Shady +3 more

Abstract The effect of nonlinear medium and phase damping is investigated on an atom of three levels in different forms interacting with the SU(1,1) Lie algebra. The SU(1,1) system starts the interaction from the Perelomov coherent state, while the atom starts the interaction from excited-most state. The time dependent wave function is calculated by using the Schrödinger equation. The density matrix is obtained. The influences of damping, nonlinearity (Kerr-like medium), Perelomov coherent parameter and the Bargmann index on some non-classical properties, such as: revivals-collapses phenomenon, entanglement and atomic variables squeezing, are investigated.

The interaction between a single two-level atom coupled to an N -level quantum system through three couplings

M. Sebawe Abdalla, M. M. A. Ahmed, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +1 more

We introduce the problem of three types of interaction between an N-level quantum system and a two-level atom where three coupling parameters are involved. The system can be deduced from the Heisenberg chain. The canonical transformation is used to remove two coupling parameters from the system and consequently it is reduced to atom–atom interaction. The wave function is calculated using the evolution operator and hence we have managed to obtain the expectation value of some dynamical operators. During our study of the atomic inversion we noted that the collapses period is shifted up when we take the effect of λ2 into consideration. While it is shifted up and down in the presence of λ3. The atomic angle plays a crucial role for controlling the degree of entanglement. For the variance squeezing we noted that the coupling parameter λ2 shows amounts of squeezing more than the case of λ3. Similar behavior is noted for the entropy squeezing.

Dynamics of quantum effects in a three-level system interacting with two-mode time-dependent fields including parametric down conversion and damping

Mohamad Kh. Ismail, A. H. Ahmed, Tarek M. El-Shahat +3 more

In this article, the interaction between a time-dependent damping field and Λ-type of three-level atom is investigated. The effect of the atom and the fields' parameters on the behaviour of the atomic inversion, the generated entanglement between the atom and the cavity modes, the Pancharatnam geometric phase are discussed. It is shown that the phenomena of the collapses and revivals for the three physical quantities depend on the time-dependent coupling and the damping parameter. The long-lived behaviour of the non-classical correlation is observed either on the presence of only time-dependent coupling or at large values of the damping parameter. The damping effect has different features on the three phenomena, where the atomic inversion decays, the upper bounds of entanglement increases and increases periodic time of the Pancharatnam geometric phase.

Influence of the dissipation on the N-level atom interacting with a two two-level atoms in presence of qubit–qubit interaction

S. Abdel‐Khalek, Hashim M. Alshehri, Eied Mahmoud Khalil +1 more

The interacting of two qubits and an N-level atom based on su(2) Lie algebra in the presence of both qubit-qubit interaction and dissipation term is considered. The effects of the qubit-qubit interaction and the dissipation term on the dynamics of the proposed system are discussed in detail for certain values of the number of levels. The dynamical expressions of the observable operators are obtained using the Heisenberg equation of motion. The population inversion and linear entropy, as well as the concurrence formula as a measure of entanglement between the two qubits are calculated and discussed. The roles of the number of levels, the qubit-qubit coupling parameter and the dissipation rate on these quantities are also discussed. We explore the sudden birth and sudden death of the entanglement phenomena with and without the dissipation term.

Linear entropy and squeezing of the interaction between two quantum system described by su (1, 1) and su(2) Lie group in presence of two external terms

M. Sebawe Abdalla, Eied Mahmoud Khalil, A.‐S. F. Obada +2 more

A Hamiltonian, that describes the interaction between a two-level atom (su(2) algebra) and a system governed by su(1,1) Lie algebra besides two external interaction, is considered. Two canonical transformations are used, which results into removing the external terms and changing the frequencies of the interacting systems. The solution of the equations of motion of the operators is obtained and used to discuss the atomic inversion, entanglement, squeezing and correlation functions of the present system. Initially the atom is considered to be in the excited state while the other systems is in the Perelomov coherent state. Effects of the variations in the coupling parameters to the external systems are considered. They are found to be sensitive to changing entanglement, variance and entropy squeezing.

Atomic Marginal Distribution and Squeezing Phenomena of Correlated Two Modes Interacting with a Three‐Level Atom in the Presence of an External Classical Field

A.‐S. F. Obada, Eied Mahmoud Khalil, S. Sanad +1 more

The influence of the external classical field on a correlated two‐mode of the electromagnetic field interacting with a three‐level atom in the Λ structure is studied. A rotation of the atomic basis is used to remove the classical field terms. The time‐dependent wave function is obtained by solving the Schrödinger equation. The influence of the classical field on the phenomenon of revival, collapse, squeezing, and marginal atomic distribution are discussed. In our analysis, the cavity field is prepared in the entangled pair coherent states and the atomic system in the upper state. The results showed that the occupation of the atomic level is significantly affected by the addition of the classical field. The presence of the classical field reduces the squeezing intervals and the extreme values of the atomic marginal distribution.
