Abstract

Abstract Using the non-Hermitian operation approach, we propose a scheme to protect and enhance quantum dense coding from correlated amplitude damping (AD) decoherence. In contrast to the results of memoryless AD channel, we show that the memory effects play a significant role in the suppression of quantum dense coding sudden death. Moreover, we find that the damaged quantum dense coding can be effectively enhanced by using the non-Hermitian operation. Furthermore, the freezing phenomenon of quantum dense coding can be detected by using the optimal non-Hermitian operation.

Abstract Using the non-Hermitian operation approach, we propose a scheme to protect and enhance entanglement from correlated amplitude damping decoherence. In contrast to the results of memoryless amplitude damping channel, we show that the memory effects play a significant role in the suppression of entanglement sudden death and induce the entanglement revival. Furthermore, the freezing phenomenon of entanglement can be detected by using the optimal non-Hermitian operation.

Improving the capacity of quantum dense coding via non-Hermitian operation

Yang Leng, Fei Chen

Abstract We propose a novel method to enhance the capacity of quantum dense coding under amplitude damping noise using non-Hermitian operations. With the assistance of non-Hermitian operations, we show that the capacity of quantum dense coding can always be larger than 1 for any two-qubit states. In particular, the non-Hermitian operation can improve quantum dense coding more efficiently in the case of strong decoherence strength than those with small decoherence strength. Our results shed new light on the protection of quantum dense coding in a quantum environment.

Improving the capacity of quantum dense coding with both spontaneous emission and dephasing by non-Hermitian operation

Fei Chen, Yang Leng

Abstract Using a non-Hermitian operation approach, we propose a scheme to improve quantum dense coding of a qubit-qubit system interacting with a zero-temperature reservoir with both spontaneous emission and dephasing. By solving the master equation of the two-qubit system, we numerically obtain the final capacity of quantum dense coding. The numerical results show explicitly that the non-Hermitian operation indeed helps to improve the non-Hermitian operation from amplitude-phase decoherence. In particular, non-Hermitian operations can protect quantum dense coding more efficiently in the case of strong decay rates than those with small decay rates.

Enhancing the capacity of quantum dense coding in the quantum spin channel via non-Hermitian operation

Yang Leng, Fei Chen

Abstract Using the non-Hermitian operation approach, the enhanceable capacity of quantum dense coding can be realized in the quantum spin chain channel. We derive the exact analytical expressions of the quantum dense coding and in detail investigate the influence of non-Hermitian operator parameters on the quantum dense coding. We find that the non-Hermitian operator process can obviously enhance the quantum dense coding. In particular, we show that the optimal capacity of quantum dense coding can always be larger than 1 with the assistance of non-Hermitian operations.

Protecting qubit-qutrit entanglement via non-Hermitian operation

Li Ji-Xin, Shengli Chang, Yun-Hui Zhao +2 more

Abstract Entangled states with high-dimensional systems have been investigated widely because of their extended possibilities. We investigate the entanglement protection of a qubit–qutrit system under amplitude damping decoherence by employing non-Hermitian operation. We find that the qubit–qutrit entanglement decays monotonically as the decoherence strength increases, and may go through a sudden death for strong decoherence strength. However, we can completely defeat amplitude damping decoherence and recover or even magnify the initial entanglement perfectly by means of non-Hermitian operation. In particular, the non-Hermitian operation can protect entanglement more efficiently in the case of strong decoherence strength than those with small decoherence strength.

Partial-measurement-enhanced high-dimensional superdense coding in amplitude damping channel with memory

Xing 兴 Xiao 肖, Zhipeng Yang, Yanling Li +2 more

Abstract We study the performance of high-dimensional superdense coding (HD-SDC) over an amplitude damping (AD) channel with memory and propose a protocol that leverages partial measurement and its reversal to enhance the channel capacity. By considering a two-qutrit system, we model the memory AD noise using a convex mixture of memoryless and perfectly memory AD channels. We demonstrate that the memory effect alone can mitigate the decay of the SDC capacity under noise. More significantly, we show that the application of partial measurement before the channel and its reversal after the channel can not only recover the capacity degraded by noise but, for certain non-maximally entangled initial states, even amplify it beyond the initial capacity. This amplification effect is governed by three key factors: the ground-state probability in the initial entangled state, the memory strength, and the partial measurement strength. Our results provide a practical strategy for enhancing quantum communication protocols in realistic noisy environments and highlight the synergistic benefits of memory noise and measurement-based control.
