Abstract

Quantum information is a cutting-edge technology that has numerous applications. It mainly makes usage of some quantum entanglement characteristics and uses the quantum entangled state as a carrier for information transfer. Therefore, compared to traditional information, quantum information has excellent features, e.g., stronger security and reduced susceptibility to interference. This article introduces the definition, concept, characteristics and history of quantum entanglement and quantum information. To be specific, this study lists the applications of quantum entanglement in communication and radar. In addition, it gives an outlook on the future function of quantum entanglement in quantum information based on the advantages and disadvantages of quantum entanglement. Contemporarily, the field of physics is rapidly advancing in both quantum entanglement and quantum information, and there have also been significant technological advancements. In experiments, scientists have been able to extend the transmission distance of quantum information to great distances. At the same time, scholars are looking for ways to minimise the interference of quantum information during transmission. In constant exploration and experimentation, the experimental results have inspired scientists to explore the deeper realms of quantum information.

Unravelling the Mysteries of Quantum Entanglement's Revolution in Computing and Communication

Mukesh Kumar, Sangeeta Prasher

Quantum entanglement is amongst the strangest ideas of quantum mechanics and is being considered as an asset for revolutionary advances in quantum computing technologies. It arises due to the interaction between two quantum particles, which makes their quantum states independently ambiguous. The observation of one particle instantly affects the state of the other across significant spatial divides. Entangled particles exist in predetermined states even before observation but remain ambiguous until a practical measurement. This chapter surveys the underlying principles of quantum entanglement and its conceptual applications in quantum information processing. It further investigates the historical evolution and fundamentals of quantum theory to explain the role of quantum entanglement in the field of quantum computing. The discussion does not conclude at this point but briefly touches upon cutting-edge technologies like quantum teleportation, explaining the transmission of quantum states across large distances devoid of the physical transmission of matter. Though initially seen as science fiction, research has now begun on its practical applications towards enabling secure quantum communication.

Harnessing Quantum Entanglement: Comprehensive Strategies for Enhanced Communication and Beyond in Quantum Networks

Amit Kumar Bhuyan, Dutta, Hrishikesh

Quantum communication represents a revolutionary advancement over classical information theory, which leverages unique quantum mechanics properties like entanglement to achieve unprecedented capabilities in secure and efficient information transmission. Unlike bits in classical communication, quantum communication utilizes qubits in superposition states, allowing for novel information storage and processing. Entanglement, a key quantum phenomenon, enables advanced protocols with enhanced security and processing power. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of quantum communication, emphasizing the role of entanglement in theoretical foundations, practical protocols, experimental progress, and security implications. It contrasts quantum communications potential applications with classical networks, identifying areas where entanglement offers significant advantages. The paper explores the fundamentals of quantum mechanics in communication, the physical realization of quantum information, and the formation of secure quantum networks through entanglement-based strategies like Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and teleportation. It addresses the challenges of long-distance quantum communication, the role of quantum repeaters in scaling networks, and the conceptualization of interconnected quantum networks. Additionally, it discusses strides towards the Quantum Internet, Quantum Error-Correcting codes, and quantum cryptographys role in ensuring secure communication. By highlighting the role of entanglement, this paper aims to inspire further research and innovation in secure and efficient information exchange within quantum networks.

Application of Quantum Entanglement in Quantum Communication

Dr. Birendra Kumar Yadav

The study of nature at the smallest scales, known as quantum physics, has uncovered occurrences that defy conventional wisdom. Among them, one of the most enigmatic and exciting discoveries is quantum entanglement. When two or more particles become correlated to the point that, regardless of the distance between them, the state of one particle is instantly connected to the state of the other, this is known as entanglement. Once referred to by Einstein as "spooky action at a distance," this phenomenon has developed from a theoretical curiosity to a fundamental component of contemporary quantum technologies. Next-generation communication technologies are among its most revolutionary uses. The power of computational devices using silicon-based integrated circuits has advanced dramatically during the last few decades. Since the gadgets' size will soon approach atomic scales, this remarkable technological advancement based on the principles of classical physics cannot continue eternally. Quantum mechanics would control how these devices operate at these extreme natural regimes. In order to demonstrate drastically new kinds of computing and communication with quantum mechanical states of physical systems, physicists and computer scientists have developed concepts that take advantage of the quantum mechanical behavior of these devices. A basic and fascinating phenomenon in quantum mechanics, quantum entanglement occurs when two or more particles become correlated to the point where the state of one instantly affects the state of the other, regardless of the distance between them. This study explores the theoretical underpinnings of quantum entanglement, including its mathematical formulation, important experimental validations, and implications for new technologies. We will talk about this in this paper. Quantum communication via quantum entanglement.

Technical Analysis of Quantum Signal Performance in the Framework of Practical Experiments

Mariam Janelidze, Lasha Janelidze

The rapid development of the digital era and the increasing demands of information technologies create a need to create more reliable, secure and efficient communication systems. In this context, quantum signals represent a technology of the future that responds to the challenges that classical signal systems can no longer cope with — for example, the highest level of information security, accuracy and transmission speed. The use of quantum entanglement, superposition and correlations makes it possible to protect and process information at the highest level. Accordingly, the implementation of quantum signals is critically important for areas such as quantum communication, secure cyberinfrastructure, high-tech sensors and quantum computing systems. The paper reviews the role of quantum signals in modern technologies and their potential in the near future. Quantum signal theory combines the principles of quantum physics, information theory and signal processing. These features provide the highest accuracy in information transmission and processing, which is especially important in the development of quantum communication, quantum radars, and quantum sensors. This paper reviews the theoretical foundations of quantum signals, basic models, and their potential applications in modern technologies.

Entanglement-based quantum information technology: a tutorial

Zheshen Zhang, Chenglong You, Omar S. Magaña‐Loaiza +7 more

Entanglement is a quintessential quantum mechanical phenomenon with no classical equivalent. First discussed by Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen and formally introduced by Schrödinger in 1935, entanglement has grown from a scientific debate to a radically new resource that sparks a technological revolution. This review focuses on fundamentals and recent advances in entanglement-based quantum information technology (QIT), specifically in photonic systems. Photons are unique quantum information carriers with several advantages, such as their ability to operate at room temperature, their compatibility with existing communication and sensing infrastructures, and the availability of readily accessible optical components. Photons also interface well with other solid-state quantum platforms. We first provide an overview on entanglement, starting with an introduction to its development from a historical perspective followed by the theory for entanglement generation and the associated representative experiments. We then dive into the applications of entanglement-based QIT for sensing, imaging, spectroscopy, data processing, and communication. Before closing, we present an outlook for the architecture of the next-generation entanglement-based QIT and its prospective applications.
