HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTING ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE LABORATORY: QUANTUM BITS ON SEMICONDUCTOR QUANTUM DOTS WITH OPTICAL CONTROL

A. V. Tsukanov

The article contains a small essay describing the history of the origin of the idea of using semiconductor quantum dots and nanostructures based on them, controlled by a laser or microcavity, in quantum computer science. The results obtained during the last 15 years by the staff of the FTIAN and, in particular, by the author of this article are presented. Particular attention is paid to hybrid solid-state electron-photon systems consisting of a double quantum dot and an optical microcavity, which can exchange energy among themselves. It is these objects that satisfy the main requirement to create a practically useful quantum computing device - scalability.

QUANTUM COMPUTING BASED DIGITAL TRUST ARCHITECTURE FOR IT PROJECT TEAMS

Amirtharaj S, N. Rathina Prabha

Quantum computing is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape by introducing computational capabilities that surpass classical systems. This evolution creates both risks and opportunities for digital trust in IT industries. Digital trust—comprising data confidentiality, integrity, authentication, and system reliability—is essential for distributed IT project teams. However, quantum algorithms threaten existing cryptographic systems widely used in modern infrastructures. This paper develops a novel, multi-layered quantum-resilient digital trust architecture specifically designed for IT project environments. It further analyzes quantumrelated risks, proposes mitigation strategies, and presents a structured implementation roadmap. The study contributes toward building secure, scalable, and future-ready IT ecosystems.

Implementation of the iFREDKIN gate in scalable superconducting architecture for the quantum simulation of Fermionic systems

Per Liebermann, Pierre-Luc Dallaire-Demers, Frank K. Wilhelm

We present a Superconducting Planar ARchitecture for Quantum Simulations (SPARQS) intended to implement a scalable qubit layout for quantum simulators. To this end, we describe the iFREDKIN gate as a controlled entangler for the simulation of Fermionic systems that is advantageous if it can be directly implemented. Using optimal control, we show that and how this gate can be efficiently implemented in the SPARQS circuit, making it a promising platform and control scheme for quantum simulations. Such a quantum simulator can be built with current quantum technologies to advance the design of molecules and quantum materials.
