Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of atomic mixedness and phase space quasi-probability information of one of two moving atoms trapped in a cavity filled by a coherent field. The atom-photon interactions are considered with the resonance case through nonlinear intensity-dependent coupling. We investigate the impacts of the atom-photon and atomic motion couplings on the dynamics of the atomic Wehrl entropy's mixedness and phase space Husimi distribution information. By helping Wehrl entropy's mixedness dynamics, the dynamics of acceleration and enhancement of the generation of the atomic phase space quasi-probability coherence are examined, and the Husimi distributions of the generated atomic states of one of the two moving atoms are explored. The results are shown that the atomic Husimi distribution and Wehrl entropy's mixedness are susceptible to an increase in the atom-photon and the atomic motion couplings. Therefore, the atomic phase space Husimi distribution coherence can be improved by increasing the atomic motion and nonlinear atom-photon couplings.

Qubit Quasi-Probability Coherence Induced by a Nonlinear Coherent Cavity Filled With a Kerr-Like Medium Under Dissipation Effect

Abdel‐Baset A. Mohamed, Ahmad Almutlg, S. M. Younis

The work considers a qubit interacting off-resonantly a nonlinear Kerr-like quantum-harmonic-oscillator cavity field through nonlinear intensity-dependent and one-photon interactions. The analytical solution for the master equation is obtained when the qubit starts with an excited pure state while the harmonic-oscillator field starts with a coherent state. The dynamics of the phase space Husimi-distribution and its Wehrl-Husimi entropy entanglement/mixedness is explored under the effects of the atom-field detuning, Kerr-like nonlinearity as well as atomic spontaneous-emission dissipation. For resonant case, the Wehrl-Husimi entropy qubit-oscillator entanglement and atomic mixedness are generated (due to the unitary nonlinear intensity-dependent evolution) with a regular oscillatory behavior. For off-resonant case, the quantum coherence is generated partially with a high-frequency irregular oscillatory behavior. The Kerr-like nonlinearity and the atomic spontaneous dissipation lead to enhancing the generated atomic mixedness Wehrl-Husimi entropy enhances and stabilizing the atomic state in a maximally mixed state. The phase space Husimi-distribution information dynamics of the corresponding the generated atomic mixed states confirms the vital link between the formed interference Husimi-distributions and the generated atomic Wehrl-Husimi entropy mixedness. It is found that the dynamics of the Husimi-distribution information and its Wehrl-Husimi entropy is highly sensitive to the qubit-cavity detuning, Kerr-like nonlinearity as well as the dissipation.

Exploring phase space properties of nonlinear Kerr-cavity interacting with a qubit: Spontaneous-emission damping effect

Laila A. Al‐Essa, Abdel‐Baset A. Mohamed, F. M. Aldosari

In our work, we have explored the phase space nonlinear coherent-Kerr-cavity nonclassicality and purity loss induced by off-resonant intensity-dependent cavity-qubit interactions under atomic spontaneous-emission dissipation effect. The generation of the cavity purity loss (mixedness) dynamics, by using von Neumann entropy, is linked to the nonclassicality's Wigner distribution dynamics, which is investigated at spastic times chosen based on the von Neumann entropy's cavity dynamics. The temporal evolution of the largest negativity of the Wigner distribution is investigated under the physical system effects of the qubit spontaneous-emission dissipation, the detuning as well as the coherent-Kerr-cavity nonlinearity. The growths and the stability of the purity loss and the Wigner distribution negativity loss have the same behaviors. They depend on the Kerr-like nonlinearity and the dissipation couplings. These losses and their stability can be enhanced by increasing the dissipation coupling. It is found that the nonclassicality's phase space Wigner quasi-probability distribution and the mixedness of the generated coherent-Kerr-cavity states are highly sensitive to the physical system effects.

Quasi-probability information in a coupled two-qubit system interacting non-linearly with a coherent cavity under intrinsic decoherence

Abdel‐Baset A. Mohamed, Hichem Eleuch

We explore the phase space quantum effects, quantum coherence and non-classicality, for two coupled identical qubits with intrinsic decoherence. The two qubits are in a nonlinear interaction with a quantum field via an intensity-dependent coupling. We investigate the non-classicality via the Wigner functions. We also study the phase space information and the quantum coherence via the Q-function, Wehrl density, and Wehrl entropy. It is found that the robustness of the non-classicality for the superposition of coherent states, is highly sensitive to the coupling constants. The phase space quantum information and the matter-light quantum coherence can be controlled by the two-qubit coupling, initial cavity-field and the intrinsic decoherence.

Optical tomography and coherence of a cavity interacting with two time-dependent position qubits

A-B A Mohamed, Hichem Eleuch

Abstract Optical tomography is a widely used method for estimating complex information. It provides a monotonic relation between the coherent field states density and their corresponding probability distributions. This approach is critical for validating any quantum information processing system’s implementation. This paper explores the optical tomography and coherence dynamics for a cavity interacting with two two-level atoms having time-dependent locations. We analyze the dynamics of the photon-field states, as two moving atoms enter a cavity filled with two superposed coherent states. The von-Neumann entropy dynamics illustrates how interaction couplings between the two atoms and cavity can give rise to entangled states under the effects of the atom-field couplings and the time-dependent atomic location parameter. Aside from coherence, the interactions between the cavity and atoms are essential for producing nonclassical proprieties in optical tomography. Furthermore, we investigate the dynamics of optical tomography densities with respect to the couplings between atoms and photons for time-dependent atomic location. Our results show that the couplings between atoms and cavity not only accelerate but also improve the processes involved in generating nonclassical optical tomography and coherence dynamics.

Influence of the Coupling between Two Qubits in an Open Coherent Cavity: Nonclassical Information via Quasi-Probability Distributions

Abdel‐Baset A. Mohamed, Hichem Eleuch, A.‐S. F. Obada

In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of two coupled two-level systems (or qubits) that are resonantly interacting with a microwave cavity. We examine the effects of the intrinsic decoherence rate and the coupling between the two qubits on the non-classicality of different system partitions via quasi-probability functions. New definitions for the partial Q-function and its Wehrl entropy are used to investigate the information and the quantum coherence of the phase space. The amount of the quantum coherence and non-classicality can be appropriately tuned by suitably adopting the rates of the intrinsic-decoherence and the coupling between the two qubits. The intrinsic decoherence has a pronounced effect on the negativity and the positivity of the Wigner function. The coupling between the two qubits can control the negativity and positivity of the quasi-probability functions.

Quantum coherence and phase-space nonclassicality in k -photon thermal-noisy nonlinear JCM with atomic motion

Shima Manzari-Tavakoli, Hamid Reza Baghshahi, Mohammad Javad Faghihi

In this paper, we study the quantum interaction between a moving two-level atom and a single-mode quantized field in an optical cavity with degenerate multi-photon transition, in the presence of intensity-dependent coupling and thermal effect. We introduce the appropriate Hamiltonian of the system, and we adopt the initial condition of subsystems, in which the atom is prepared in an arbitrary superposition of ground and excited states, and the field is considered in a thermal state. Consequently, we determine the density matrix of the entire system at any given time. We further assess some of the most important quantum properties, such as quantum coherence, sub-Poissonian statistics, and phase-space nonclassicality by means of negativity of the Wigner quasiprobability distribution function. We then investigate the impact of intensity-dependent nonlinearity, thermal noise, atomic motion, and multi-photon transition on these quantum properties. The numerical results show that the nonclassicality criteria can be significantly influenced and controlled by the effects discussed above. Interestingly, increasing the mean thermal photon number, which highlights the thermal effect, can, in some cases, enhance the nonclassicality features of the system.
