Unveiling the dynamical genesis of quantum entanglement in linear systems: Internal causality breaking in the reduced subsystem evolution

Shuang-Kai Yang, Wei-Min Zhang

Utilizing the general theory of open quantum systems to investigate the exact dynamical evolution of simple bilinear systems, we discover a mechanism of the dynamical genesis of quantum entanglement. We focus in detail on the exact quantum evolution dynamics of two photonic modes (or any two bosonic modes) coupled to each other through a linear interaction, as the simplest system of open quantum systems that we have investigated in the past two decades. Such a linear coupling alone fails to produce two-mode entanglement. We also start with an initially separable pure state of the two modes. By solving exactly the quantum equation of motion without relying on the probabilistic interpretation, we find that when the initial state of one mode is different from a coherent state (a minimum uncertainty wave packet with equal variance in the conjugate quadratures that corresponds to a well-defined classically "particle"), the causality in the time-evolution of each mode is internally violated. It also leads to the emergence of quantum entanglement between the two modes. The lack of causality is the nature of statistics. We discover that it is the internal violation of causality in the reduced (subsystem) dynamical evolution that results in the emergence of entanglement and statistic probability in quantum mechanics, even though the dynamical evolution of the whole system completely obeys the deterministic Schrödinger equation. This conclusion is valid for the quantum dynamics of more complicated composite systems. It may provide the fundamental mechanism of the dynamical genesis for both the entanglement and the statistical probability within the deterministic framework of quantum mechanics, which is the longest-standing problem that has not been fully understood since the birth of quantum mechanics.

Ehancement of quantum coherence and three-body entanglement by dynamical decoupling pulses

HE Qi-liang, DING Min, Song Xiao-Shu +1 more

The influence of dynamical decoupling pulses on the quantum coherence, quantum entanglement and quantum discord in cavity quantum electrodynamics system is investigated. We find that the quantum coherence and non-classical correlations (entanglement and quantum discord) between two atoms can be increased by applying a train of dynamical decoupling pulses. Furthermore, by making use of the trace distance, we also explore the reason for enhancement of quantum coherence of two atoms. It is shown that the dynamical decoupling pulses can control and accelerate the return of quantum information from other subsystems to two atoms, and reduce the flow of quantum information between two atoms and other subsystems, which leads to the increase of quantum coherence and non-classical correlations between two atoms. Finally, we investigate the three-body entanglement of the system by using state preparation fidelity. It demonstrates that the genuine three-body entanglement may emerge in the system during the evolution of time. In particular, the period of emergence of three-body entanglement can be adjusted and enhanced by dynamical decoupling pulses.

The Linear Limitations of Bell's Inequality and the Geometric Tolerance Probability Rules Inherent in the Mechanism of Particle Genesis

Dong Woo Kwak

This paper presents a critical review of the geometric and linear assumptions underlying Bell's inequality, introducing an alternative theoretical framework based on the mechanism of particle genesis. We propose that the statistical correlations observed in quantum entanglement experiments can be comprehensively modeled through geometric tolerance probability rules, rather than non-local action. By establishing absolute variables governing the dynamic state changes during particle generation and propagation, this study addresses the apparent violations of local realism. Furthermore, we explore the implications of these geometric parameters within the framework of special relativity and wave-particle thought experiments, demonstrating that a reconsidered classical-geometric perspective can consistently account for quantum interference phenomena without relying on mystical or non-causal interpretations.
