The development of quantum computers seeks software developers' attention regarding security in the era of Information Technology, software security is the primary goal for our quantitative assessment of software security in the development cycle of software. Security assessment of software is identifying the key security factors of the software. A security elective provides ex-tensive strategies and calculations to ensure product safety. The security assessment is the key factor in surveying, administering, and controlling security to further enhance the nature of safety. It should be acknowledged that assessing security early on in the development process is beneficial in identifying worms, hazards, flaws, and threats. The definition and portrayal of Quantum Computing (QC) in software security will be discussed in this study. Researchers use cryptography calculations to secure our financial institutions, medical devices, military weaponry, planes, ships, vehicles, and pilots. Here authors of this study use the Fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Situation (FTOPSIS) to quantitatively assess the weight/rank of the quantum enable security alternatives like (Diffie-Hellman key-exchange algorithm, Quantum key distribution algorithm, Deutsch-Jozsa Algorithm, Special Deutsch-Jozsa Algorithm, Grover’s Algorithm and Quantum key distribution algorithm in GHZ state) with security factors like (Confidentiality, Integrity, Authenti-cation, Privacy, Reliability, Maintainability, Authorization, Integrity, Possessions, and Availability). Additionally, they critically analyze and select the six alternatives of quantum-based security algorithms. The nature of safety infers the ability to execute a thing on time in this exploration study, specifically 'software security'.
The introduction of quantum computing has transformed the setting of information technology, bringing both unprecedented opportunities and significant challenges. As quantum technologies continue to evolve, addressing their implications for software security has become an essential area of research. This paradigm change provides an unprecedented chance to strengthen software security from the start, presenting a plethora of novel alternatives. We use a multi-criteria decision-making methodology in this work to evaluate the efficacy of quantum computing approaches in improving software security. As the number of electronic applications grows, software developers strive to produce more sophisticated and user-friendly alternatives. However, in the pursuit of complexity, vulnerabilities may be introduced inadvertently, posing a substantial danger to software security. Our study addresses five major components of the quantum method to overcome these challenges: lattice-based cryptography, fully homomorphic algorithms, quantum key distribution, quantum hash functions, and blind quantum algorithms. The rapid development of quantum bits (qubits) regarded as basic quantum entities adds complexity and risk to the software security landscape. As a result, in the age of quantum computing, evaluating software security becomes not only necessary but also critical. To accomplish this objective, we propose the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F-AHP), a soft computing method, as a reliable tool for accomplishing this goal. Our research aims to prioritise security variables using quantum security criteria, providing an innovative viewpoint on software security evaluation in the quantum computing era.
The primary goal of this research study, in the field of information technology (IT), is to improve the security and durability of software. A quantum computing-based security algorithm springs quite a lot of symmetrical approaches and procedures to ensure optimum software retreat. The accurate assessment of software’s durability and security is a dynamic aspect in assessing, administrating, and controlling security for strengthening the features of security. This paper essentially emphasises the demarcation and depiction of quantum computing from a software security perspective. At present, different symmetrical-based cryptography approaches or algorithms are being used to protect different government and non-government sectors, such as banks, healthcare sectors, defense, transport, automobiles, navigators, weather forecasting, etc., to ensure software durability and security. However, many crypto schemes are likely to collapse when a large qubit-based quantum computer is developed. In such a scenario, it is necessary to pay attention to the security alternatives based on quantum computing. Presently, the different factors of software durability are usability, dependability, trustworthiness, and human trust. In this study, we have also classified the durability level in the second stage. The intention of the evaluation of the impact on security over quantum duration is to estimate and assess the security durability of software. In this research investigation, we have followed the symmetrical hybrid technique of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) and fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (FTOPSIS). The obtained results, and the method used in this estimation, would make a significant contribution to future research for organising software security and durability (SSD) in the presence of a quantum computer.
Software or web application security is the main objective in the era of Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Distinguishing proof of security at the initial stage produces significant results to comprehend the administration of security relics for best potential outcomes. A security alternative gives several methods and algorithms to ensure the software security. Security estimation is the vital factor in assessing, administrating, controlling security to improve the nature of security. It is to be realized that assessment of security at early stage of development helps in identifying distinctive worms, dangers, weaknesses and threats. This paper will talk about the definition and characterization of quantum computing in software security. For software security, we use different cryptography (methods or algorithms to secure our financial organizations, medical devices, military weapons, planes, ships, automobiles, navigators, etc. However, many cryptosystems are likely to collapse when the large quantum computer is developed. Recently, Google developed the Sycamore Processor 53 qubits. Such innovations indicate the advent of large quantum computer in future. Since cryptographic algorithm can be solved by the quantum computers, the present cryptosystem would be rendered obsolete. Hence, it is imperative to focus more on intensive research in the context of the present quantum cyber security. The main challenges in quantum era would be cryptography methods that fulfill the demands of security usability and flexibility without sacrificing the users’ confidence. This research study, in particular, focuses on ‘Software durability’ which is a quality of security that alludes to the capacity to execution of an item on schedule. In the context of software and web application, a thorough assessment of security factors will significantly influence the software’s durability in the era of quantum computing.
Quantum security is an evolving field that leverages principles of quantum physics to strengthen computing systems. Core concepts such as superposition and entanglement are foundation to this domain. However, current systems face significant challenges due to the extraordinary processing capabilities of quantum computers. As large-scale quantum computers with high qubit counts become operational, existing cybersecurity mechanisms are increasingly inadequate. This rapid advancement in quantum computing poses substantial risks to software, networks, web-based systems, and other security measures. To address these challenges, enhancing cybersecurity mechanisms is imperative. This paper explores various quantum security strategies categorized into six mechanisms (E1 to E6) and examines their effects on cybersecurity factors labeled H1 through H8. The analysis employs the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) method, which assesses the relative importance of these factors based on an extensive literature review. By calculating the weight of different security aspects, the F-AHP method provides insights to prioritize critical components throughout the development cycle. The findings reveal that quantum-resistant cryptography is the most effective security measure. In contrast, digital signatures resistant to quantum errors were assigned the lowest priority, while the software system (H2) received the highest priority. These results underscore the importance of developing robust cybersecurity frameworks that align with the capabilities of quantum technology. As the field advances, it is crucial to design software, networks, and security systems that support the optimal functionality of quantum computers. Implementing quantum security mechanisms can significantly reduce vulnerabilities and mitigate the risk of cyberattacks. Over the next decade, new approaches to cybersecurity risk analysis leveraging quantum technology are expected to emerge, paving the way for enhanced cyber resilience in a quantum-powered future.
