INVARIANT SOLUTION OF THE DIRAC EQUATION IN THE CROSSED ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS $ (H \mathclose{>} E) $

R.G. Petrosyan, M.A. Davtyan

In the article exact analytical and invariant solutions for both spinless and half-spin relativistic charged particles in crossed constant electric and magnetic fields, when $ H \mathclose{>} E $ have been found. It is shown that in both cases the problem reduces to that of quantum harmonic oscillator.

Dirac Particle in Crossed Electric and Magnetic Field

B. A. Kagali, Tavarekere Shivalingaswamy, Felan Amal

Electromagnetic forces play a critical role in shaping the trajectories of charged particles, affecting their movementacross scales ranging from subatomic dimensions to distances smaller than astronomical ones. This study focuseson the behaviour of a charged spin-half particle exposed to a perpendicular electric and magnetic field. We analyze the associated eigenfunctions and eigenvalues using the Landau gauge. The non-relativistic and classical limits align with the standard results.

Coherent states of a relativistic particle in an external electromagnetic field

Vladislav G. Bagrov, I. L. Buchbinder, Dmitri M Gitman

The problem of the construction of coherent states of relativistic particles (bosons and fermions) in electromagnetic fields has been solved. The states discovered are exact solutions to the Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations; the wavefunctions of the particles are found in the homogeneous magnetic and electric fields and the Redmond configuration field, as well as in the plane-wave field. The formulation of relativistic quantum mechanics is used on the 'null' plane.

A solution (Dirac electron in crossed, constant electric and magnetic fields) that has found a problem (relativistic quantized Hall effect)

Michael Martin Nieto, Philip L. Taylor

The exactly solvable Dirac electron in crossed, constant electric and magnetic fields represents the relativistic quantized Hall effect. The solution allows one to show that there are no relativistic quantum-mechanical corrections to the ordinary quantized Hall effect.
