Abstract

The exact solution of the Feinberg-Horodecki equation for time-dependent harmonic vector potential has been investigated under a one-dimensional system. The quantized momentum and its corresponding un-normalized wave functions were explicitly obtained. The Fisher information (for time and momentum) and variance (for time and momentum) were calculated using expectation values of time and momentum via Hellman-Feynman Theory (HFT). The time and momentum Shannon entropy were obtained using an existing formula. Numerical results were for time and momentum Fisher information to confirm the Cramer-Rao inequality. Another numerical results were obtained for time and momentum Shannon entropy to confirm Bialynick-Birula, Mycielski (BBM) inequality. The effects of the potential parameters such as mass of the spring and the frequency on the theoretic quantities were fully examined. The new variance inequality was established using the inequalities of Fisher information. The established inequality was confirmed by numerical results which also satisfied the popular Cramer-Rao inequality. The theoretic impetuses for Fisher information, variance and Shannon entropy respectively, were calculated and their variation with some potentials were studied.

Shannon entropy and Fisher information of the one-dimensional Klein–Gordon oscillator with energy-dependent potential

Abdelmalek Boumali, Malika Labidi

In this paper, we studied, at first, the influence of the energy-dependent potentials on the one-dimensionless Klein–Gordon oscillator. Then, the Shannon entropy and Fisher information of this system are investigated. The position and momentum information entropies for the low-lying states n = 0, 1, 2 are calculated. Some interesting features of both Fisher and Shannon densities, as well as the probability densities, are demonstrated. Finally, the Stam, Cramer–Rao and Bialynicki–Birula–Mycielski (BBM) inequalities have been checked, and their comparison with the regarding results have been reported. We showed that the BBM inequality is still valid in the form [Formula: see text], as well as in ordinary quantum mechanics.

Fisher information and Shannon entropy under the cotangent hyperbolic potential model

B. B. Deji-Jinadu, C. A. Onate, O. O. Ajani

A Schrödinger equation is solved for a cotangent hyperbolic potential using the elegant parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method. The results obtained are used to calculate the Fisher information for position space and momentum space as well as the Shannon entropy for position space and momentum space at the ground state. The energies of the cotangent potential are observed to be fully bounded for different quantum states. The Fisher information satisfied the Fisher relation known as Cramer–Rao inequality for the Fisher product. Its result also obeyed the Heisenberg principle as its alternative for uncertainty measurement. However, the Shannon entropy only satisfied the Bialynick-Birula, Mycielski inequality for higher values of the screening parameter. Its relation to the Heisenberg principle failed as both the position space and the momentum space are parallel with high entropy squeezing. This potential has not been reported for any system to the best of our understanding.

A Theoretical Study on Wave Packet Dynamics Using Information Theory

Sudin Singh, A. Saha

The article intertwines the study of wave packet dynamics with information-theoretic measurements in one dimensional (D =1) system. A localized wave packet at time t=0 has been considered here and its change at later instant of time t is calculated for the position space wave function. The momentum space wave function is obtained by taking the Fourier transform of the position space wave function at time t= 0 . These wave functions are then employed to construct the wave packet's respective probability densities in position and momentum space, and later have been used to compute the corresponding position and momentum space Shannon (S) and Fisher information (I) entropies. It has been observed that although the Shannon and Fisher information entropies explicitly depend on the standard deviation, neither the Shannon entropy sum nor the product of Fisher information entropies is. Moreover, for D dimensional systems, the computed values of the Shannon and Fisher entropies are found to satisfy the lower bounds of the Bialynicki-Birula and Myceilski (BBM) inequality relation and the Stam-Cramer-Rao inequalities better known as the Fisher based uncertainty relation. Thus, our theoretical study explores the validation of information-theoretic measurements for wave packet dynamics using the basic formulations of information theory.

Fisher information of a vector potential for time‐dependent Feinberg–Horodecki equation

C. A. Onate, M. C. Onyeaju

Abstract The time‐dependent Feinberg–Horodecki equation in the presence of a special Mie‐type pseudoharmonic potential was solved and the quantized momentum with the corresponding wave functions were obtained with the supersymmetric approach. The Fisher information for both the time and the momentum space were calculated via expectation values of time and momentum. The effect of the dissociation energy, the equilibrium time point and the quantum number respectively on the Fisher information were studied in detail. The result was applied to five molecules. The results obtained for the time‐dependent Feinberg–Horodecki equation followed the trend of the results obtained for the time‐independent Schrödinger equation.

Shannon entropy for Feinberg–Horodecki equation and thermal properties of improved Wei potential model

C. A. Onate, M. C. Onyeaju, I. B. Okon

Abstract We solved a one-dimensional time-dependent Feinberg–Horodecki equation for an improved Wei molecular energy potential function using the parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method. The quantized momentum and the corresponding wave functions were obtained. With the help of the wave functions obtained, we calculated Shannon entropy for both the position space and momentum space. The results were used to study four molecules. The results of Shannon entropy were found to be in excellent agreement with those found in the literature. For more usefulness of these studies, the quantized momentum obtained was transformed into an energy equation with certain transformations. The energy equation was then used to calculate some thermodynamic properties such as vibrational mean energy, vibrational specific heat, vibrational mean free energy, and vibrational entropy via computation of the partition function. The thermodynamic properties studied for CO, NO, CH, and ScH showed that for a certain range of the temperature studied, the molecules exhibited similar features except for the vibrational entropy.

Quantum Information and Energy Spectrum of the Ultra Generalized Exponential–Hyperbolic Potential via the Nikiforov–Uvarov Method

Etido Patrick Inyang, Jonathan Osang, Samuel Eyeh Mopta

This study presents a comprehensive investigation of quantum information measures for the one-dimensional Ultra Generalized Exponential–Hyperbolic Potential (UGEHP) within the framework of the Schrödinger equation. Analytical solutions for the energy eigenvalues and corresponding wave functions are obtained using the Nikiforov–Uvarov method. These solutions serve as the basis for evaluating Shannon entropy and Fisher information in both position and momentum spaces. The numerical results show that the total Shannon entropy satisfies the Beckner–Białynicki-Birula–Mycielski (BBM) inequality, while the Fisher information adheres to the Stam–Cramér–Rao bounds, thereby confirming consistency with fundamental quantum uncertainty principles. In addition, the energy spectrum exhibits a pronounced dependence on the screening parameter and quantum numbers, indicating the tunable confinement properties of the potential. The combined analysis establishes a clear connection between energy quantization, wavefunction localization, and information-theoretic measures, offering deeper insight into the effectiveness of the UGEHP model in describing complex quantum systems.
