Abstract

The information transfer through the fibers, which converts the electronic signals into light and employs the light emitting and the light source which enables the information transfer, is known as optical communications. Noise reduction is needed for information transfer. More noise is transferred in the optical fiber, which is the main problem with the information transfer. Then the communication multiplies the bandwidth, and the optical communication can be enabled. The high modulation method and quantum cryptographic system manage the modulation method to reduce noise from information transmission. The guided waves for many communication purposes, multi-rate communication, and non-moderate communication can be used in this research. The application of the quantum cryptographic system and the modulation for analog signal processing keep the noise reduction, bandwidth, and optical communication can be improved by up to 97% of noise can be released in the fiber optic for the mortification of the communication system. The noise reduction can be made with optical communication. Up to 80% of noise can be removed in the modulation and the quantum cryptographic. Automatic improvement of the high bit rate communication using the quantum cryptographic and the system to reduce the multiplication and bandwidth using the quantum cryptographic system.

Enhancing the Security of Fiber Optical Network using Cryptography

Sheenu Sachdeva, Dinesh

An optical fiber is an important communication channel as it proposes a high bandwidth and less attenuation, and can be easy challenging assistances such as huge-quality data transmission and others in computer networks. The basic optical transmission system consists of three basic elements which are fiber media (transmission channel), light sources as the input (covert electric signal into optic signal) and light detector as the output (convert optic signal into electric signal). FBG is the key component in optical communication system as, dispersion compensators, filters and flatteners gain. There is need to introduce mechanism that should be capable to provide data security in less time. More over there is need to introduce energy efficient mechanism that should be capable to reduce the size of packet during data transmission. There are several problems that are faced due to attenuation in fiber optics. There is need of repeater in order to regenerate the signals. Process working principle of proposed technique that is being used enhancement of security in steganography has been discussed with process flow and result. It states how brute force and timing attack are not applicable on proposed technique.

MODELING OF FIBER-OPTIC COMMUNICATION CHANNEL FOR QUANTUM CRYPTOGRAPHIC SYSTEMS

Vladimir Alexandrovich Minaev, I. D. Korolev, Кулиш Ольга Александровна +1 more

The existing methods of information delivery to the strategic and tactical management of many government agencies are expensive, not always reliable and efficient. Therefore, quantum cryptographic systems (QCS) have been actively developed in recent years. However, there are problems with the use of the QCS associated with the reliability of information transfer. First, the existing fiber-optic communication channels (FOCC) are not designed to transmit single-photon signals, which leads to the complexity of their cryptographic protection. The second is insufficiently methodically developed calculation of energy losses and errors in the evaluation of the characteristics of information transfer in FOCC QCS. In article the analysis of the energy loss factors in the classical fiber-optic channel is carried out and the additive loss formula is discussed in detail. Then we consider the fiber-optic channel of quantum information transmission with the use of integrated optical devices. The additive formula of optical losses in such a channel is discussed. The features of losses in integrated optical devices are shown. The features of quantum cryptographic system of information transmission are considered. As a result, the model of FOCC QCS taking into account energy losses is presented, which allows competently in theoretical terms and visualize the passage of information through modern quantum cryptographically secure telecommunications while providing control in government structures.

A review of quantum communication and information networks with advanced cryptographic applications using machine learning, deep learning techniques

M. Ramya, Prabhat Kumar, Mr. D. Dhanasekaran +2 more

Quantum communication and information networks offer unprecedented processing efficiency and security for data transfers. Technologies like quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum repeaters, quantum memory, and quantum entanglement sources are enabling technologies that ensure secure communication. QKD methods use quantum physics concepts to establish cryptographic keys, while quantum repeaters compensate for signal loss in fiber optic cables. Quantum memory enables storage and retrieval of quantum information, while quantum entanglement generators generate entangled photon pairs. Artificial intelligence and machine learning have significantly improved the efficacy and security of quantum communication. These methods can facilitate ultra-secure, reliable, large-scale communication and even a future quantum internet by analyzing quantum protocols and mitigating noise-induced errors. QKD protocols ensure secure communication channels, while quantum repeaters establish secure long-distance communication lines by mitigating signal loss. Traditional Internet technology is susceptible to surveillance due to Shannon's information theory and mathematics. The quantum internet (QI) uses satellite-based quantum communication and quantum cryptographic protocols for physical QI. Quantum entanglement sources fortify secure communication protocols, improving resistance to attacks. Quantum information networks (QINs) enhance computing, sensing, and security capabilities over extended distances. The development of reliable, robust communication systems depends on these technologies. Quantum-secured networks enhance urban security, smart management, and infrastructure protection by providing data privacy and facilitating secure data transmission, thereby facilitating robust infrastructure and technological development.

Practical physical-layer encryption: The marriage of optical noise with traditional cryptography

Gregory S. Kanter, Daniel R. Reilly, N. Smith

We describe an emerging method of encryption suitable for high-speed optical communication networks. This encryption protocol combines traditional electronic cryptographic algorithms with the physical effect of optical noise of quantum origin to create a highly secure method of secret communications. The resulting optical signal is compatible with today's high speed fiber optic infrastructure including optical amplification and add/drop multiplexing. Systems implementing this protocol can be constructed with common commercially available components. We describe experimental results obtained with a 2.5 Gb/s system. The encrypted signal is shown to travel error-free through >500 km of optical fiber. Simulations show that reaches and data rates consistent with modern long haul optical networks are attainable.
