Abstract

Creative products based on cultural heritage are high value-added products relying on wisdom, skills and talents, creating and promoting cultural resources and cultural products. Cultural heritage creative products are the organic integration of content creativity and cultural heritage carrier. At the technical level, the design algorithm has not been widely applied, but it has been studied. The output design algorithm fails to take into account both intelligent design and creative design. Computer cannot make creativity even based on the most robust algorithm. As the computing logic is 0 or 1. Quantum information theory can solve the problem. In this research, we proposed the creativity generation scheme inspired by multi data and information entanglement. Application scene is the culture products design with traditional elements based on world culture heritage, the Forbidden City. In this research, it is proposed the creativity generation scheme inspired by multi data and information entanglement.

Quantum-Inspired Entanglement-Based Data Compression

Jincheng Zhang

This paper investigates a novel approach to data compression inspired by the principles of quantum entanglement. Traditional data compression techniques often struggle to efficiently represent complex data patterns, particularly in scenarios with high redundancy. We propose an algorithm that utilizes the concept of entangled qubits to represent data, exploiting the strong correlations between these qubits to achieve potentially higher compression ratios. The core idea involves encoding data into a set of entangled qubits, where the state of one qubit directly influences the state of the others. This inherently creates a compact representation, reducing the overall data size. The algorithm is designed to be computationally efficient, aiming to mimic the core advantages of quantum mechanics without requiring full quantum computing resources. We explore the theoretical foundations of this approach, detailing the mathematical framework for qubit representation and the encoding/decoding processes. The paper highlights the potential advantages and challenges associated with this quantum-inspired method, suggesting future research directions and refinements.

Quantum-Inspired Algorithmic Memory

Jincheng Zhang

This paper explores a novel approach to algorithmic memory design, drawing inspiration from quantum mechanics. The core idea is to emulate quantum coherence principles—specifically superposition and entanglement—to construct a more robust and resilient memory system. Traditional algorithmic memory structures often suffer from significant data loss due to bit flips and other errors. Our proposed system, termed "Quantum-Inspired Algorithmic Memory," utilizes a hierarchical architecture where information is encoded across multiple levels of abstraction, akin to the layered structure found in quantum systems. This approach aims to dramatically reduce data loss by exploiting the inherent redundancy and error-correction capabilities associated with quantum phenomena. We will detail the mathematical framework underpinning this architecture, focusing on the principles of superposition, entanglement, and decoherence mitigation. The system's performance will be evaluated through theoretical analysis and the derivation of key equations governing its operation. Ultimately, this research suggests a pathway toward creating memory systems capable of maintaining data integrity in challenging environments.

Quantum Gate Optimization and Automated Composition Controller Implementation for the Q1 Synth

Zhong Zheng, Weijia Yang

This study focuses on optimizing quantum gate functionality and developing an automated composition controller for the Q1 quantum synth, originally developed by the Miranda team. By integrating nine types of quantum gates, including rotation and phase gates, and combining MIDI control with OSC/QASM protocols, a closedloop interactive system linking gesture input to quantum state processing to sound output was constructed. Utilizing Markov chain algorithms, the system supports diversified control from improvised timbre generation to structured music composition. This optimization overcomes the parameter adjustment limitations of traditional synths. Through open-source implementation and international performance demonstrations, the technical feasibility has been validated. It is crucial to clarify that the current system only achieves single-qubit state simulation, and the musical mapping of multi-qubit entangled states has not yet been realized—a key limitation to be addressed in subsequent research. The system is innovatively applied to classical and intangible cultural heritage music, offering a novel “quantum state–musical parameter” mapping paradigm that advances the engineering of quantum instruments and digital transformation of cultural heritage, thus facilitating the transition of music tools based on quantum gate simulation as a control paradigm from theoretical simulation to artistic practice.

The application of quantum computing in music composition

Johee Lee, Weijia Yang

Quantum computing and artificial intelligence, two prominent topics in science and technology, are rapidly advancing and extending their influence into numerous fields, including music. Quantum computer music, which merges the strengths of quantum computing and deep learning, heralds a new era in the integration of music creation with cutting-edge technology. The interactive quantum music composition “Spinnings—Q1 Synth Trio”, created by Brazilian composer Miranda during the QuTune project at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Computer Music Research (ICCMR), in collaboration with the University of Oxford, stands as a notable example of quantum computer music. This study adopts a case study approach to thoroughly investigate the technical creative process behind this work, covering elements such as quantum computing, quantum properties, qubits, quantum gates, and quantum circuits, gradually unveiling the mathematical logic behind quantum algorithmic composition. The results of this study indicate that quantum algorithmic composition, as an emerging approach to music creation, not only generates unique music through the characteristics of quantum computing but also offers new possibilities for the integration of music, art, and technology. By applying quantum bits, quantum gates, and quantum circuits, this research demonstrates how quantum computing can provide new theoretical foundations and practical methods for music composition. Furthermore, the study discusses how to optimize the interactive creative experience in quantum music works and how to enhance the understanding and appreciation of quantum music among a broader audience of musicians and listeners. With the continuous advancement of quantum computing technology, quantum music is poised to contribute a distinctive dimension to the global flourishing of musical culture. This research offers fresh perspectives and ideas for the development of this field.
