Abstract

An effective construction method for long-length quantum code has important applications in the field based on large-scale data. With the rapid development of quantum computing, how to construct this class of quantum coding has become one of the key research fields in quantum information theory. Motivated by the block jacket matrix and its circulant permutation, we proposed a construction method for quantum quasi-cyclic (QC) codes with two classical codes. This simplifies the coding process for long-length quantum error-correction code (QECC) using number decomposition. The obtained code length N can achieve O(n2) if an appropriate prime number n is taken. Furthermore, with a suitable parameter in the construction method, the obtained codes have four cycles in their generator matrices and show good performance for low density codes.

Quantum LDPC Codes Based on Cocyclic Block Matrices

Yuanli Cai, Ying Guo

Motivated by a family of binary cocyclic block matrices over GF(2), we proposed a construction method to gain the stabilizer of long-length quantum error-correction codes (QECCs). Stabilizer quantum codes (SQCs) can be obtained by the different rows of the yielded circulant permutation matrices; hence, the quantum codes have the virtue of a fast construction algorithm. The recursive relation of a block matrix is employed in the proposed approach, so that the generator matrix of quantum cocyclic codes with long length can be constructed easily. Furthermore, the obtained quantum codes have the low-density advantage of there being no 4-cycles in the Tanner graph.

Quantum error-correction codes based on fast Jacket transform

Moon-Ho Lee

Motivated by the fast block Jacket transform based on Pauli matrices, this paper showed how block Jacket matrix could simplify the coding theory of quantum error-correction.Quantum Jacket codes(QJCs) did not require the dual-containing constraint necessary for standard quantum error-correction codes(QECCs),thus allowing to construct quantum codes of large block length with efficiency. These QJCs were generated from some Abelian subgroups of Pauli group that were composed of different rows of the yielded block Jacket matrix, and had advantages of being fast constructed with asymptotically good behaviors.

Fast quantum codes based on Pauli block jacket matrices

Ying Guo, Jun Peng, Moon Ho Lee

Jacket matrices motivated by the center weight Hadamard matrices have played an important role in signal processing, communications, image compression, cryptography, etc. In this paper, we suggest a design approach for the Pauli block jacket matrix achieved by substituting some Pauli matrices for all elements of common matrices. Since, the well-known Pauli matrices have been widely utilized for quantum information processing, the large-order Pauli block jacket matrix that contains commutative row operations are investigated in detail. After that some special Abelian groups are elegantly generated from any independent rows of the yielded Pauli block jacket matrix. Finally, we show how the Pauli block jacket matrix can simplify the coding theory of quantum error-correction. The quantum codes we provide do not require the dual-containing constraint necessary for the standard quantum error-correction codes, thus allowing us to construct quantum codes of the large codeword length. The proposed codes can be constructed structurally by using the stabilizer formalism of Abelian groups whose generators are selected from the row operations of the Pauli block jacket matrix, and hence have advantages of being fast constructed with the asymptotically good behaviors.

NEW CLASS OF QUANTUM CODES CONSTRUCTED FROM CYCLIC DIFFERENCE SET

Shengmei Zhao, Xiao Ping Yu, Yan Mei Zhu +2 more

We introduce joint difference sets as a generalization of cyclic difference sets, and we construct a new class of quantum error-correcting codes (QECCs) from these joint difference sets. The main benefits of our method are as follows. First, we can construct quantum codes that are both high rate and with large block length, while maintaining good performance. Second, the density of constructed quantum parity check matrix can approach zero when the code length is very large. This allows us to use a simple iterative decoding algorithm. Interestingly, our method yields the well-known [5,1,3] QECC.

Quantum quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check error-correcting codes

Yuan Li, Zeng Gui-Hua, Moon Ho Lee

In this paper, we propose the approach of employing circulant permutation matrices to construct quantum quasicyclic (QC) low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. Using the proposed approach one may construct some new quantum codes with various lengths and rates of no cycles-length 4 in their Tanner graphs. In addition, these constructed codes have the advantages of simple implementation and low-complexity encoding. Finally, the decoding approach for the proposed quantum QC LDPC is investigated.

Regular Quasi-cyclic LDPC Codes with Girth 6 from Prime Fields

Qingji Zheng, Xiangxue Li, Dong Zheng +1 more

The short paper proposes a method for constructing regular quasi-cyclic (QC) LDPC codes based on circulant permutation matrices via simple prime field operations. The main advantage is that regular QC LDPC codes with a variety of block lengths and rates can be easily constructed which have no cycles of length four or less. Simulation results show that within only a maximum of ten decoding iterations of sum-product algorithm(SPA) the constructed regular codes of high rates have no error floor down to the bit-error rate of 10-7.
