Abstract

Abstract Cloud storages are currently crucial for data storage due to the rapid rise in data demand. However, there are security concerns with cloud computing, such as holes that allow hackers to access or edit data. Such that the data security algorithms are utilized. The primary issue is how to securely distribute the encryption key among users, which is why numerous techniques have been created. Hackers may be able to access the secret key with the use of cutting-edge quantum computers. To avoid those problems quantum key distribution methods are developed. The presented work uses some preprocessing techniques like shifting and binary conversion together with block re-ordering method, fuzzification process, and block re-ordering method to identify and address side channel assaults, one of the issues in the quantum key distribution algorithms. By minimizing security losses, the Binary Conversion and Block Reordering with Fuzzification procedure improve the accuracy and authenticity of the data. According to the experimental findings, the mean rate of security harms using Binary Conversion and Block reordering with Fuzzifcation method is 0.69, whereas the mean rate using conventional approaches is 11.0, with standard deviations of 0.3785 and 6.055, respectively.

Quantum-Enhanced Security Advances for Cloud Computing Environments

Devulapally Swetha, Shaik Khaja Mohiddin

Recent developments in quantum-enhanced security have demonstrated encouraging promise for enhancing cloud computing environments' security. Utilizing quantum physics, in particular Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), provides a new method for generating cryptographic keys and improves cloud data transport security. The present study offers a thorough investigation of the integration of QKD with conventional encryption techniques, including Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), in order to tackle the dynamic cyber security scenario in cloud computing. The approach entails combining AES for encryption and decryption procedures and establishing a QKD layer within the cloud architecture to produce true quantum keys utilizing Quantum in Cloud technology. Data transmission security is greatly improved by the smooth integration of AES with QKD-generated keys, guaranteeing confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. In addition, strong key management practices are put in place to handle cryptographic keys safely at every stage of their lifespan, reducing the possibility of unwanted access or interception. The suggested approach successfully addresses the difficulties presented by cyber threats by offering a robust and flexible means of enhancing security in cloud-based systems. Using both traditional and quantum encryption methods, this strategy provides a strong barrier against cyber-attacks, data leaks, and other security flaws. After 70 simulation rounds, the suggested strategy, which is implemented using the QKD-AES framework in Python software, achieved a data access rate of 820 MB/s. In addition to providing an accurate and quantitative assessment of the performance, this also exhibits a high data access rate attained under simulated conditions. At 15 milliseconds, the key generation time was achieved with efficiency, guaranteeing the quick creation of secure cryptographic keys in cloud environments. Overall, there is a lot of potential in using quantum-enhanced security techniques to protect sensitive data and guarantee the integrity of cloud computing infrastructures.

The recent development in cloud computing has changed data storage and data processing methods, nevertheless, it also created new vulnerabilities, particularly the potential risks caused by quantum computing advancements. Traditional encryption techniques that are effective at present face potential vulnerabilities due to the emergence of quantum threats. The goal of this research is to create a cloud encryption system that is impervious to quantum assaults. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) systems, particularly the E91 protocol, combine lattice-based encryption to enhance safe key management. This research helps to create upcoming cryptographic standards that can handle both safety problems and new quantum computing hazards. The utilization of quantum mechanics improves cloud data protection as well as it offers a strong defense against new cyber threats. The results show a lot of potential for improving cloud security and laying a foundation for upcoming data encryption methods that can handle the risks, which is created by quantum computing.

Enhancing the cloud security using side channel attack free QKD with entangled fuzzy logic

N. Gopinath, S. Prayla Shyry

As technology advances, it becomes easier to share large amounts of data over the internet. Cloud computing is one of the technologies that allows for easy data sharing over the internet. It is critical to provide security for this data when they are being shared across the internet. The security of data saved in cloud storage, as well as data transport and transmitting a key required to encrypt data between two parties, has been a source of concern for the industry, as a result of the growing use of cloud services in recent years. Collective attacks are significantly more powerful than individual strikes, according to our research. Despite the fact that additional research works were studied in the previous literature review, there are some study concerns for not correcting third-party data hacking. Therefore, this paper focuses on the design of Secured Quantum Key Distribution (SQKD) with Fuzzy logic to improve the security of the shared key. Quantum Key Distribution, Post Quantum Key Distribution, and the EPR Proto-col are technologies that increase the security of data sharing. We have incorporated the Secured Quantum Key Distribution (SQKD) with Fuzzy logic in our proposed work to improve the security of the shared key. The proposed systems include some additional characteristics in addition to the existing approaches. The proposed model uses shifting algorithms and the fuzzification procedure to assure the security of the secret key in the Fuzzification of Quantum Key approach. The experimental results states that the mean value of security losses in SFQ is 1.8306051, and the mean value of QKD is 14.6448416, with standard deviations of 1.7329 and 13.863 for SFQ and QKD, respectively.
